ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns with multi-Grammy-nominated Cuban-born singer-songwriter and actress Camila Cabello claiming her red chair alongside superstar returning coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Carson Daly returns as host for Season 22.
The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts and Live Performance Shows. This season's Battle Advisors include Charlie Puth (Team Camila), Jazmine Sullivan (Team Legend), Jimmie Allen (Team Blake) and Sean Paul (Team Gwen). For the first time ever, the third phase of the competition will include three-way knockouts.
In the Live Performance Shows, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast, and the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

This is the most beautiful new Christmas song I have ever heard, and I am 75 years old. To know that it was written and sung in memory of their father, Chris, makes it all the more meaningful and memorable.

Beautiful song, vocals and performance. What I don't understand is after the big lead-up to this performance, that The Voice edited it? The song was all chopped up and edited. I was looking forward to seeing the entire song, but nope.

@IamCceeLL Bekah's voice is incredible. I have heard GNT three times live; plus, I have enjoyed every performance I can find on TH-cam and Instagram. She has incredible range, sings with power and nuance (e.g., "One More Christmas"). She is versatile and sings a full range of music, from classical to folk to pop, etc. Her brothers can really sing as well!

Then you haven't been paying attention! About 100 concerts across the USA since leaving The Voice. Many sold out. Sang at the Indianapolis 500. Sang at the Grand Ole Opry. Opened for Pentatonix on their 22-concert Christmas tour (who gave them twice the usual time to open). Released an EP just before Christmas. A lot of original music coming in 2023. Where have you been?

I know this is unsolicited but I really like you guys and don't want you guys to fall into the normal traps of fame....people supported you just the way you all were. All three of them appear to be athletic, lean, and toned people with low body fat. They seem to maintain a healthy lifestyle, even while traveling, including exercise. That's all good. Performers are like athletes who need to stay in good condition mentally and physically, to maximize performance and minimize injury risk.

@stevebelzner447 Here's one possibility. When they taped "One More Christmas" for The Voice a few weeks before The Finale, they were just beginning a 22-concert holiday tour opening for Pentatonix. Maybe they were protecting themselves? Maybe their management team thought it was a good idea? Maybe their mom? Who knows! Tough time to get sick, doing 22 concerts in 36 days!
Carson is putting on quite a few pounds. I can't help but think if he was a woman, she would be phased out as host and replaced with a skinnier, younger host. He is lucky he is a man.

Wendy is a brilliant singer for sure. But she is a DIFFERENT singer, singing power anthems requiring a certain type of vocal skill. GNT sings different genres that call for a different vocal skill set. GNT is very versatile, ranging from intimate and nuanced songs to full-throated solos and harmonies. Plus, they are warm and engaging performers in live concert settings. Wendy was not "better" than GNT; she was different from GNT. Clearly the The Voice audience preferred GNT many times over Wendy, according to the numbers (streams, downloads, social media, iTunes ranking, etc.), "better than Wendy" in so many ways. If selling out many of your first 100 concerts after winning The Voice is any indication, there's a lot of evidence to suggest that GNT deserves our admiration and respect. Just say you prefer Wendy over GNT. No problem with that. "Better" than GNT. No.
The true winner should have showed up. Everyone knew who the winner was
@maryransburg8617 The true winner DID show up. They were on stage at the Season 22 Finale and showed us all, once again, why they won. Girl Named Tom deserves our respect. As brilliant as Wendy was, she built only a fraction of the following that GNT did. Numbers don't lie: GNT was downloaded/streamed seven times more than the runner-up and four times more than all four of the other finalists COMBINED. GNT's social media exploded tenfold during Season 21, the runner-up a fraction of that. I could go on. Their voices and the genres they sing are very different. GNT won because they connected with the audience and won their hearts. They deserve our respect.

@@randyneal5836 A lot of deaths were prevented by masks and other COVID protocols. Compare Norway to Sweden during the first wave of COVID. Norway had strict measures; Sweden did not. Norway had 57% fewer deaths overall than Sweden, accounting for their population differences. Masks do reduce the number of cases and protect people. I wore N95 masks to protect others, especially the vulnerable, not just myself. I considered it my responsibility to others. If masks are a joke then why do they wear them in hospitals around highly infectious diseases? I have had to wear them in intensive care units when patients were in isolated rooms due to a highly contagious diseases. No joke, my friend!

They performed at the historic Troubadour in LA (James Taylor, Elton John, started their USA careers there). They have received critical acclaim for their live performances (e.g., great vocals, multiple instrumentalists, original songs, connect with audience). Standing ovation at the Grand Ole Opry. Opened for Pentatonix on their 22-concert tour, who gave them twice the usual amount of time to open and invited them onstage to perform with them. They are the real deal. They are very, very good, even better live! They won because they connected with people and built a much larger following than any other contestant. They are humble and kind, savvy visionaries and hard workers, They earned their win. It wasn't given to them. Respect is due!
