ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns with multi-Grammy-nominated Cuban-born singer-songwriter and actress Camila Cabello claiming her red chair alongside superstar returning coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Carson Daly returns as host for Season 22.
The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts and Live Performance Shows. This season's Battle Advisors include Charlie Puth (Team Camila), Jazmine Sullivan (Team Legend), Jimmie Allen (Team Blake) and Sean Paul (Team Gwen). For the first time ever, the third phase of the competition will include three-way knockouts.
In the Live Performance Shows, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast, and the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

Wendy Moten is great! She has performed at the Grand Ole Opry over a dozen times, according to her. She’s a rising star!

Wow, GNT gave me GOOSEBUMPS! They have such beautiful, rich, flawless harmonies! I can’t wait to see where their career takes them! Maybe they will debut at the Grand Ole Opry very soon!

I hope that people watching appreciate just how difficult the first performance was to pull off. The song shifts through so many major and minor chords during all of the harmonies that if one of the three was off by even a half-pitch, it would have broken the chord, hence why judges jaws met judges floors. Perhaps the best example of this is at 0:45, where the girl goes up one octave over the tenor and the third singer takes a major third of the chord, and it just sounds RIGHT. You can especially hear the harmornizing at 1:04, when the first, third, and fifth of the chord are brought in one at a time and it's just spot on. No autotune can do that, that is sheer, raw, talent, and three sets of very finely tuned throats and ears.
In a choir, you can miss a pitch and the overall volume of the choir drowns it out. Solo, you miss a pitch, everyone knows, and even the best will sometimes miss. Duets, trios, quintets (acappella grounps), you can't hide, so to nail it so dead on perfect with each note.... highest level of praise for them 👏
EDIT: I also love that John Legend has such a good ear that he adds an octave fourth to the chord at 1:26 with a glissando up to it :P

I typically know when to pay attention when John Legend stands up slow and starts just fuckin vibin. I could not even wrap my head around how I would cope if someone like Legend or Grande grooved that hard to a sound I was making.

The Voice. The best engaging and uplifting music program. Best immuno therapy for the soul and many other benefits. Finally NBC network made a great decision. Music is the only outlet to spiritual peace. We need Olympics of music once a year as year as a substitute to wars and conflicts. The universe was not created by word only but as a song(it is still playing).

I think the name of the band I’d like to comment on is Girl Named Tom. Wow, what tight and intricate harmonies. Nevertheless, what makes the harmonies so tight is the fact that every single member in this group sings in tune and in their own comfortable range which obviously works for them personally and every single individual voice is perfectly in tune which makes for an amazing band that can create amazing harmonies!! It’s not rocket science, but hell is it ever hard to do!!! Also they have managed to sing a four-part harmony with three members.

@@kewei4147 truly said. Their harmonies were probably the best and soo melancholic that this show has ever seen. It isn't necessary that only big voices can be recognised as a true vocalist. A real vocalist in my opinion is someone who can go deep into your heart and brings out all the emotions . And that's what GNT did for all of us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@kewei4147 I wouldn't put Wendy in the category of "all the big voices". Her clarity in the high end of her range and power is unlike almost anyone ever. several big voices but very few with that kind of power control and clarity THAT high.
@@TB317 She does have fantastic control and clarity, insane actually, but I voted GNT because their level of superb harmonisation is equally as difficult to achieve as Wendy’s notes, but it just gives me this warm fuzzy feeling whenever they harmonise with each other, and I’ve found their style more underrated than big voices.
