Picking mine up tomorrow. My wife ordered it and put me on the waitinglist 4 months ago, for my 30th birthday in September. Haven’t seen it in real life, can’t wait!!
I bought this watch and I especially like the clean dial without date, without gold color or any other color. Now, this Tudor is the favourite watch of my collection. The aluminium bezel and the slightly doomed crystal is perfect for a "vintage" feeling. Metas caliber ? Mine is +0.3 sec/day average in 25 days. No need to say more ... If you try the quick micro-regolation of the jubilee bracelet you can't go back. Lumen is top level. In conclusion it's the kind of watch, if you like it of course, that you never get bored of.
The BB54 and P39, which I own, are my faves. These newly refined 41s are exceptional divers that will surely make many happy. I’ve seen so many people acquire these - more so than the BB54 and P39 when they were released.
Friend of mine has the new monochrome. Great overall piece ! I owned an p39 and loved it but the titan edges of the bracelet and the clasp where horrible for me
@@TellingTimepieces I’ve seen others where the endlinks were moving. Thankfully, that hasn’t been my experience. Possibly because I waited til late-2023 to get one, and Tudor may have resolved these issues. With no movement, my endlinks are tightly fitted. No sharp edges on the bracelet, clasp, and case.
I never had another BB but this 2024 Monochrome is a hit! I hate sub watches but love love love this one. My AD was right that I would like this timepiece. Enjoy my people.
The reason for the 21mm lugs is the same reason you’ll find it on the Pelagos 39 and latest Submariner: Rolex/Tudor wanted to make the lugs thinner without sacrificing the shape of the outer lugs. Besides, there’s a lot of 21mm strap options now. The days of struggling to find some are over.
I have a Tudor Black Bay Bronze that is wonderful in its patina. Now with a new BB 41 Monochrome ,it’s a gorgeous piece for reasonable money. Rolex, too flashy for me.
Cool review man, keep them coming! This Tudor BB is gorgeous if a bit similar to the Sub. I personally own a Tudor Pelagos (first gen). As a perfect toolwatch it complements my (less capable and shiny) Sub rather well
@@TellingTimepieces oh i love it. I’m sure i will be wearing it allot. I wanted to get it when it was first available but not in a position to buy it. I was now and the atlanta boutique was able to get me one. Nothing I don’t like about it. They had an invite event at the boutique last night and I picked it up there and enjoyed the event.
The no date reason is because the first Tudor diving watch was released in 1954, the Oyster Prince Submariner Reference 7922, a year after Rolex released its first Submariner. This original model had 100 meters of water resistance, a self-winding calibre Fleurier 390 movement with NO DATE, and a tropic-type Plexiglas crystal that was dome-shaped for better water pressure resistance; indeed, the domed acrylic crystal is one of the most charming aspects of vintage divers. The screw down crown and Oyster bracelet were both signed with the Rolex logo.
@jfalconc well they haven't done it in a long time, all the sudden they decided they wanted to keep sales coming, so they reduced Thickness by removing date function. Also easier to maintain, possibly less issues down the road for Tudors "5 year warranty" coverage. They did it across the black bay, (not just the smaller black bay 58, like you're saying).
Dont forget, the reason tudor exists is to give people watches, without the wait of Rolex. Literally this was the idea behind creation of Tudor. Sounds silly claiming how lucky dude is he got a tudor..
i love tudor, like the high quality standart like rolex for half the price, the newest black bay does a lot of things right, and yeah back in the days tudor was the poor mans rolex :-)
Hans wilsdorf made Tudor for those people who couldn't afford Rolex , nothing to do with waiting times lol back then 100 years ago you just walked in and got whatever Rolex you wanted.
@@WristWatcher what's that got to do with the price of eggs??? I don't care what they cost but back in the day of Hans he made Tudor for people who wanted a very good watch but couldn't afford Rolex .hence Tudor always being cheaper than Rolex..
@@maitrehg That's your opinion, I am in agreement with him, The black 58 is the best Tudor, It's the watch that brought Tudor back into the western market after dying off.
@@PepRex Absolutely not. Tudor's renaissance is due to the first Black Bay Heritage. A men's model with its 41mm diameter. The new generation of this watch with its MASTER CHRONOMETER certified movement, its T-fit clasp and its Monochrome version easily surpasses the 58. Even the 54 is much better than the 58.
@@PepRex Ah don't get me wrong, I like the SKX. It's just silly to say the Tudor has no character is all. I bought the monochrome so I'm biased. It's a great watch
I appreciate that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this seems a race with the new omega aqua terra black dial release to find out who makes the most boring monochromatic watch, that can hope to beat Apple's 😂
For me it is the less appealing one to date. It doesnt have the feeling of a Sub and it doesnt have the Black Bay charm either. The original black bays have their own touch but this one feels like a sub wannabe to me

i completly agree with you, rolex is rolex and tudor is tudor........ they share their history, but with the tudor you get a lot of watch for your money
@@PepRex I owned the 90s variant and the modern one in blue with the waves and date at 6. The wart was always awful. It should have stayed in the 90s imo
Tudors are becoming more and more boring. No one wants to admit that they buy it because of it's attachment to rolex. It does horrible on the secondary market. Most black bay 58s you can get mint around 2500-2700. To me at 3k your best bet is saving a little more and getting a pre owned sea master...
Boring or not boring is just matter of taste..... i also dont use grey or used market prices for the value of a watch...... i think tudor did a good job in this new release

Why no date? So they can release a date later as a seperare option? Why ?!
do you think so ? im not sure
@@TellingTimepieces rolexs typically hsve dates, there's a specific no date model. Why is Tudor doing no-dates across their new models?
