This amp works good with gains maxed out on a 3rd gen Tacoma. Installed it behind factory head. Hertz 6x9 front, factory rear and 12” powered Rockford sub. If you need more volume out of the front stage, bridge it and run it two channels or buy a bigger amp.
Is hard to believe you are still around, I watched all the E39 tutorials, they have been very helpful! Still wish you would do them but anyway, good seeing you still post!
Yep, still trying to keep up with my weekly schedule but life's a little crazy at the moment. Sadly my E39 is long gone, but there will be another BMW in the future and I still have my E23 too. Thank you for the support!
Thanks for the help. just a heads up, u didnt mention anything about tuning full range speakers, ive a couple of 6x8’s i did the excact same as u only to discover that i basically had no bass or mid range, so i set the filter to off and it fixed it, my sound is superclean now, idk if thats what i was supposed to do or if thats only me but it helped alot.
Hi bro thanks for you video , i would like to know how is work your amplifier and it is a good quality because i am thinking to buy some one in 2023 , have you still have ?
Thank you! I love it, use my truck all the time and haven’t had any issues so far. My system is built for clarity instead of base, it powers my four speakers just fine.
Great video! Any tips for doing this process on a subwoofer amp? I would guess it might be harder to detect the distortion in a bass signal by ear. I have a self-contained powered subwoofer so I cannot access the output side of the amp to use any kind of meter on which means I need to resort to setting the gain by ear.
Really nice video. I have a question if you could answer. I have a kenwood excelon dmx 706s with 4 infinity kappa 62IX power by Kenwood XR401-4 channel amp and doesn’t sound as clear i was expected like too much bass over clarity. How should i tune up my amp? Should I use the x’over before tuning the amp or after? I’m all confused 🫤
Out of all the videos I watched so far, yours is the only one that shows an example of distortion. I’m new to car audio and I thank you for this.

This video was very helpful to me as I'm not trying to buy a $200 tool that I will use one time. Thank you.
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful.

Thanks a bunch, this was very helpful and I wish I watched this when I installed my system some years ago.
Why would you use a 40 hz test tone for mid drivers ? Usuaally use a 500-1K hz test tone
Exactly what i have been looking for. Thanks
Glad I could help!
Thank you! Just bought that exact amp.
You’re very welcome! I’m extremely happy with it, well worth it.
One of the he best videos on youtube regarding car amp tuning, very well explained. Great keep it up.(From Pakistan)
Thank you so much!

Thank you!
Awesome thanks for this your great !
No problem and thank you!
this amp allows you to connect power/ground to the radio harness is this what you did or did you go directly to the battery?
Very helpful video thank you for this information. We’ll done 🙏🏼
Have done a video of an amp with both high and low pass crossover networks. The said amp is a Sundown Sia series?

I hope you figured it out considering no one responded to your comment😂
What about bridged
I have the same amp and experience a lot of high pitch hissing. Does yours do that as well?
Mine is super crisp, no issues whatsoever. Try to turn down your gain.
Good video 👌🏽🔥
so for mid range speakers that start from 70 hz (alpine s65c) I need to do the test with a for example a 90 hz test tone?
yes test with a hz your speaker can handle
Do we need go use 40Hz sound? For example i have focal expert v1 and they work from.60hz to 20Khz. Do i need to use 40hz or 60?
40 Hz is what is typically recommended and what my friends in car audio use.
thats for subs never go lower then what hz your speaker is rated for @@4DIYers @arnoldovargas6708
Nice
Hello, where can I get the 40hz sound?
You can find downloads through a Google search.
But why tune it at 75% vol. Shouldn’t it be at max volume so that you can play at max volume with no distortion?
Its possible that you are clipping the head unit at max volume. 75% is just a safe zone before distortion
@@sikkidesmet is there any radio that doesn’t clip at 3/4 volume?
that’s how u blow speakers😂
@@makz.1000 I did my research, now I know lol
Where are you have your amp, isn’t that a bad spot especially if you have a knee airbag and if you get into an accident.
Nope. There is no knee airbag on this truck and there is plenty of air flow, away from any heater ducts.
How do i know where to set the hz
50 hz for subs 1000 hz for midrange
what amp are you using??
Kenwood KAC-M1814
@@4DIYers Thanks:)
