I thought this fight was more painful than some of the ones where robots get split in half. Partially, I think it's because ice wave is such a good team, and they absolutely got destroyed, and because bite force just tore like an inch thick weapon bar to pieces! That's crazy! I really like fights where robots get split in half or absolutely torn apart like side winder vs Scorpios, and I see those fights as awesome rather than painful.
Really enjoying these getting uploaded, but the editing is chronic. Cutting away at important moments is bad, but the stock SFX is just painful - the effect noise for Bite Force hitting Icewave is not only super fake but the SAME ONE each time...

When Icewave gets up to speed, the hits can be spectacular. Unfortunately most of their opponents dont let them get up to speed. They need lower gearing or more motor to recover more quickly.

I remember when this fight was live-streamed and you could hear Icewave’s engine shut down in the first second of the match before Biteforce ever touched it. Must have locked up or something went wrong. Shame we didn’t really get to see what Icewave could do here
Icewave is the most original bot in the series yet, I love how it works and even more how it sounds... the 2 stroke engine accelerating sound is awesome... sad that we can’t hear it in this video...
Yeah, they need to actually make a decent blade for that spinner. You put a good temper and heat treat with some high quality steel and it'll never break. Like seriously, the first person to do this is going to have such an advantage. A good quality blade would be practically indestructible, you'd need a tank to break it.
Forge of fire judges: you see the blade didn’t have a good heat treat so delaminations and a stress fracture was on the blade that’s why the blade was so brittle lol
They need to stop replacing the sounds of the robots hitting and damaging each other and actually put the box audio in there. It makes it sound like a video game.

I don't see how this was a painful fight. That was the most methodical fight I've seen. Seeing bite force slowly go to the corner of the other bot to push its spinning blade against the wall was perfect. He could've just full speed rammed him like most people do, but instead, he avoided getting hit while stilling disabling the momentum of the spinner
Biteforce is probably the best designed bot to go against IceWave. IceWave’s best weapon is it’s blade which is high up and doesn’t allow head on assaults, and it’s sloped design makes flipping it nearly impossible. Biteforce can eliminate it’s blade fairly easily with it’s prime weapon being able to go far and forward, allowing for the blade to be chipped away.
Oh, please...I seem to recall one fight from the 2018 season in which Icewave was damn near destroyed despite its power (I forget who it was up against in that bout). By comparison, this is nothing. EDIT: The fight I'm thinking of was against Rotator. Rotator EVISCERATED Icewave and then partly decapitated him as a final flourish. Rotator didn't allow Icewave enough distance so that he could power up and engage his weapon. It's frankly amazing that Icewave was able to make it through the full three minutes...now THAT was an embarrassing fight.

What is the point of the pulverizers? They do absolutely no damage. Same with the ground saws. I get that they give you points, but I really wish those giant hammers actually packed more heat. They don't need to be Chomp level strong, but I want to see them cause just a little harm.

If Bite Force is so good, why didn't it fight Witch Doctor for the Giant Bolt, in this Live Event? It backed out. Possibly didn't want to give away what happens in the 2019 season? Everyone fought Twice. After Witch Doctor took out Tombstone and Bronco, Bite Force should have fought Witch Doctor for the All Star Giant Bolt. Why didn't it happen?

Carlo Betrochinni retired Biohazard after Comedy Central season 5 (2003). I wish Biohazard returned. Impressive heavyweight Battlebot with that unique arm gimmick.
Yeah... I'd like to see Rotator shred it to pieces again... The only fight I have seen Icewave do any good, was against that Plastic Bot "Huge", and pretty much every Bot out there has shredded Huge... Really Stupid Design.
@@ziwei3070 - We differ in what we consider "Great Design"... I do not consider an Unwieldy Bot made Mostly of Plastic, with Huge Plastic Wheels, "Great Design"... It took them an entire season to figure out... "Maybe we should get rid of the Spokes and make them Solid?" I have see Huge get Split in Half like 3 times, by Bots I would consider mostly Wimpy... Like Ice Wave. That Bot has so many Flaws, there is not room here to list them all. There is much more to a Bot, than having a High Speed Spinning Blade... as you can see with the biggest of them all, "Tombstone". Neither Ice Wave or Huge would last 30 seconds against Tombstone, yet both Rotator and Witch Doctor kicked it's ass... Rotator still has a bunch of Flaws to work out, but this years model of Witch Doctor is near perfection. They need Armor around their wheels. That is the only Flaw I see in their design.
CruzinThru 828 actually HUGE is a great design. Barely anything can attack it’s chassis, while it can actually attack pretty much anything from above, such as E-teks and stuff. Last season they got split in half by IceWave (who should’ve went 4-0) and their repairs failed in the Bite Force fight. They could’ve easily beat them if it didn’t accidentally split in half because BF’s weapon already broke. It also annihilated trashier bots like Chomp, Jasper, Free Shipping and Subzero. HUGE isn’t really the best against horizontals with a lot of bite, but it was actually the longest to get KOd by SOW. Also, they severely tore up Gigabyte’s shell. I guess we’ll see how well it does against Bronco in tonight’s ME. I don’t know how you think IceWave is bad as well. It can easily destroy bots, like splitting Vanquish in half. It went 3-1 in its qualification rounds last year (like HUGE last year) and was debatably supposed to go 4-0 with a controversial decision against Skorpios. It was also ranked 6th in the main tournament. Also the only reason they are solid is so they can absorb hits from horizontals, so that IceWave thing wouldn’t happen again, and it almost worked (they didn’t split in half because they hugely reinforced their center for season 4). They increased their modularity though, which is good. They actually can change wheels, so you clearly have not seen all its fights. Instead, you’re just judging these bots with unnecessary bias. IceWave and HUGE are solid A tier bots, but I do agree that WD and Tombstone are better than those two bots.
Icewave is so much more reliable than it used to be. Hopefully he goes to an electric weapon so its as reliable as the drivetrain. At least go to a higher stall clutch so the engine can pick up some revs before the blade starts. The blade will spin up faster and the crankshaft will take less damage. It will reduce the damage to the opponent a little, but Icewave can do more damage than it has to in order to win. Trade that extra damage for some reliability and weapon range.

Team IceWave really needs to work on getting their bot be reliable. Now it's either a glorious victory where they rip their enemy to bits or they get nothing done because their primary weapon fails to spin.

If Bite Force is so good, why didn't it fight Witch Doctor for the Giant Bolt,
in this Live Event? It backed out. Possibly didn't want to give away what
happens in the 2019 season? Everyone fought Twice. After Witch Doctor
took out Tombstone and Bronco, Bite Force should have fought Witch Doctor
for the All Star Giant Bolt. Why didn't it happen?
@@cruzinthru8285 I think the fights were influenced by a vote on Twitch while this was being streamed. Bronco and Witch Doctor got the most votes, then Bite Force and Whiplash.
Also had BF backed out, it would have been to give someone else a chance of winning something, let's be honest.

I kinds agree with the second part... or it could also be that if Witch Doctor
beat Bite Force in these Live Fights, people may be suspicious of the Show Fights.
I am no big fan of Bite Force, simply because he has become Boring and Predictable.
Like... "Hear comes Bite Force and another 30 second KO." we have seen that
over and over... at some point it becomes Mundane and Predictable.
He has made his Point... he has the Best Bot... Time to move along.
Kinda like the Guy who goes to a Carnival, as he is a Dart Champion, and wants
to impress his GF by winning her Big Stuffed Animals... He wins the First night,
and the attendant gives him a Panda Bear... Next night he comes with a different
girl, and does the same thing... The following night he is back, but the attendant
says... "Sorry, no professional Dart Players allowed."
Bite Force has Proven he will win every time... it has become Predictable.
He does more to discourage New Bot Builders, than the other way around.

Carlo Betrochinni retired Biohazard after Comedy Central season 5 (2003). I wish Biohazard returned. Impressive heavyweight Battlebot with that unique arm gimmick.

The only fight I have seen Icewave do any good, was against that Plastic Bot "Huge",
and pretty much every Bot out there has shredded Huge... Really Stupid Design.

I do not consider an Unwieldy Bot made Mostly of Plastic,
with Huge Plastic Wheels, "Great Design"... It took them an entire season
to figure out... "Maybe we should get rid of the Spokes and make them Solid?"
I have see Huge get Split in Half like 3 times, by Bots I would consider mostly
Wimpy... Like Ice Wave. That Bot has so many Flaws, there is not room here
to list them all. There is much more to a Bot, than having a High Speed Spinning
Blade... as you can see with the biggest of them all, "Tombstone".
Neither Ice Wave or Huge would last 30 seconds against Tombstone, yet
both Rotator and Witch Doctor kicked it's ass...
Rotator still has a bunch of Flaws to work out, but this years model of
Witch Doctor is near perfection. They need Armor around their wheels.
That is the only Flaw I see in their design.
CruzinThru 828 actually HUGE is a great design. Barely anything can attack it’s chassis, while it can actually attack pretty much anything from above, such as E-teks and stuff. Last season they got split in half by IceWave (who should’ve went 4-0) and their repairs failed in the Bite Force fight. They could’ve easily beat them if it didn’t accidentally split in half because BF’s weapon already broke. It also annihilated trashier bots like Chomp, Jasper, Free Shipping and Subzero. HUGE isn’t really the best against horizontals with a lot of bite, but it was actually the longest to get KOd by SOW. Also, they severely tore up Gigabyte’s shell. I guess we’ll see how well it does against Bronco in tonight’s ME.
I don’t know how you think IceWave is bad as well. It can easily destroy bots, like splitting Vanquish in half. It went 3-1 in its qualification rounds last year (like HUGE last year) and was debatably supposed to go 4-0 with a controversial decision against Skorpios. It was also ranked 6th in the main tournament.
Also the only reason they are solid is so they can absorb hits from horizontals, so that IceWave thing wouldn’t happen again, and it almost worked (they didn’t split in half because they hugely reinforced their center for season 4). They increased their modularity though, which is good. They actually can change wheels, so you clearly have not seen all its fights. Instead, you’re just judging these bots with unnecessary bias.
IceWave and HUGE are solid A tier bots, but I do agree that WD and Tombstone are better than those two bots.

Icewave is so much more reliable than it used to be. Hopefully he goes to an electric weapon so its as reliable as the drivetrain. At least go to a higher stall clutch so the engine can pick up some revs before the blade starts. The blade will spin up faster and the crankshaft will take less damage. It will reduce the damage to the opponent a little, but Icewave can do more damage than it has to in order to win. Trade that extra damage for some reliability and weapon range.

Sounds like someone needs to be reminded of Robot Wars (UK) with the bot killers like Razer and Carbide. Those bots utterly destroyed their opponents.
Look up icewave vs vanquish. Carbide came over to battlebots. It didn’t go well.

It's pretty painful, yeah. Nearly as good as the dullest of Robot Wars fights. It says a lot when you have to add drama by filming audience members filming the 'action'.

Team IceWave really needs to work on getting their bot be reliable. Now it's either a glorious victory where they rip their enemy to bits or they get nothing done because their primary weapon fails to spin.
