They have to take it easy on her so that she'll comes back for another interview. Uncomfortable questions to these politicians will surely guarantee that they'll never return to that network.
The fact is, she is so hated by her constituents that she would not survive a primary challenge in the Democratic Party in AZ. She has crossed the Democratic Party on all levels and knows she will be primaried, going independent she will effectively split the vote field and quite possibly cause her Senate seat to go to the Republicans. It's a kind of Mexican stand off that she hopes to create. Or in the least, an act of situational blackmail.
At this point she's worse than any Republican that isn't full on MAGA. If they put up a conservative Republican against her in 2024 I'd prefer to see that Republican win. Better to have an enemy you know is an enemy rather than a snake in the grass who only pretends to be your friend when it's convenient for them. Just say NO to betrayers. I have said that I would never vote for a Republican again, but in a case like this I'd reconsider very carefully.

On the other hand in 2020, Bernie had more money than Biden. The fact is, she is so hated by her constituents that she would not survive a primary challenge in the Democratic Party in AZ. She has crossed the Democratic Party on all levels and knows she will be primaried, going independent she will effectively split the vote field and quite possibly cause her Senate seat to go to the Republicans. It's a kind of Mexican stand off that she hopes to create. Or in the least, an act of situational blackmail.
At this point she's worse than any Republican that isn't full on MAGA. If they put up a conservative Republican against her in 2024 I'd prefer to see that Republican win. Better to have an enemy you know is an enemy rather than a snake in the grass who only pretends to be your friend when it's convenient for them. Just say NO to betrayers.
I have said that I would never vote for a Republican again, but in a case like this I'd reconsider very carefully.

Okay in 2016, Bernie had the uphill climb of the superdelegates, and also, the DNC itself was run by Clinton people. It was extremely unfair to Bernie.
On the other hand in 2020, Bernie had more money than Biden. But it didn't matter because, Biden, behind the scenes, got everyone to drop out and endorse him before the 1st Super Tuesday, and was also able to convince people that he could defeat Trump and unite the party . Bernie did not do any of that, even though he was correct /better on all the issues.
As it turns out, uniting the party and showing you can beat the Republicans is actually more important than having better policy ideas and being a better person.

That was my thought too.
When a Senator decides to switch parties, their seat should immediately come up for re-election. She was voted in as a Democrat, because that is what she ran as, no matter what her actual beliefs are. For her to say I can no longer sit as a Democrat and have declared myself an Independent, just doesn't cut it. Her constituents voted her in because of her party affiliation, not her sparkly personality. She never stood behind campaign promises anyways and has been a shitshow in the Senate. Her and Joe Manchin.

Not very long ago, Sinema was calling Joe Lieberman "pathetic" for becoming an Independent and courting Republican votes. She also favored using reconciliation more often, for in her words "good vs evil".
Sinema isn't the same person, she sold to voters in 2018. She should resign and let Hobbs pick her replacement.
