- After her friend, Thomas Moss, became a victim of the People's Grocery Store murders in 1892, Ida B. Wells decided she'd had enough. Instead of trusting a weak legal system that was unable to uphold basic justice for African Americans, Wells took a tremendous risk to become an investigative journalist and sought to expose the dark underbelly of American racism - epitomised by lynching.

Thank you so much. I am a 72 year old white man and have argued with all expressions of racism my whole life. In 1968, I had a chance to to take the first Black History class yet I didn’t know about her. This is our real history and we erase it at our own peril. This includes your fine video on Eugenics.

I already knew about Ida B Wells I wonder if you could do a documentary on York the enslaved person by Clark who traveled with Lewis and Clark as a healer on their famous search for the Northwest Passage
