Regarding the question of alterations and buying used/vintage, I’d really love to see a video that explains how to a) practically judge your sizing needs - what do you need to measure etc before buying blind, and b) what can be altered and what cannot - when buying something that doesn’t immediately fit, what aspect of the item should you prioritise and what can you compromise on and get fixed later. You address some of this in the video (thank you!) but an even deeper dive could be something for a future video.
I really enjoy these type of videos, cuz I not only learn a few interesting tips, like using the platform to check sales items, but it also helps me re-assess my wardrobe.
I can't imagine anyone sharing all this info nearly as well as you do! You excel at men's fashion and at making top notch videos! Best of luck in Miami!
Great Video as always! Sad to hear you're leaving Germany, but I can only assume it's by choice - so congratulations! I hope you'll find your new home....well...home! 🙂 German or English: Kep the videos coming, Good Sir!
Recently discovered the channel, already the video's have become a must watch. Even as an older, fashion conscious man, there is a lot of useful, thought provoking content. Keep up the good work.
Great tips, and best of luck on your move! You will find that style is very different in Miami than in Germany because of the weather. I live a couple of hundred miles northwest of Miami, and I wear a jacket or overcoat only a handful of days every winter. Summer here is brutal, and comfort is key while still remaining stylish. Linen, seersucker, lightweight cotton and tropical-weight wool are your friends during the long, hot Florida summers, unless you spend little time outdoors and more time in air-conditioned indoor spaces. It will be a drastic change. I have lived in both places, so I know from experience. Welcome to Florida!
Hi. I wanted to thank you for this engaging, to-the-point, and informative video! I also appreciate the honesty and authenticity with which you explain fashion.
I appreciate that you cover how to KEEP using a loud piece you already own rather than other channels out there speaking as if you've thrown away chunks of your closet as you watch. 👍😲 Keep up the content!
Incredible content! You’re slowly becoming one of my go-to creators! Please please please walk us through thrifting, vintage, and second-hand both in person and online as there is so much there it deserves a series. I’d even challenge you to put together an entirely second-hand, four-season capsule wardrobe (shoes and all) for no more than $50 a piece plus alterations and repairs and feature your tailor and cobbler. You’d be the first to do something like that and it would add immense value. Also, praying for your continued success and that you and your wife fall in love with Miami! Being Cuban, I’ve spent a lot of time there and there’s incredible food and a melting pot of cultures!
You and your wife will love Miami. It was the best decision my wife and I ever made. I’m glad you will probably do a lot of content on how to dress up nice in this hot weather. 😅 good luck on your new venture
A few of the brands I like: John Smedley, Anderson & Sheppard, Johnson’s of Elgin, Joshua Ellis all good for jumpers. Kiton, Turnbull and Asser, Emma Willis and Bud are top shirt makers. Ede & Ravenscroft also good and cheaper. New & Lingwood trousers are decent. Grenfell and Barbour very good for jackets and coats. Crockett & Jones and Trickers good for shoes. Tusting good for men’s bags.
Great content! I like your message of simplicity and value in style. Good luck in Miami, prepare for less layers than in DE, and more linen breathable clothing. Like and follow your videos!
This is an excellent informative video, now please do a best savings vintage shop. We made the move to Miami and loved it. However, the humidity sucks.
.. thank you so much for the videos!.. my favorite store to shop is Banana Republic!.. ive heard of them before when i was younger and larger.. now that ive lost significant weight.. their clothings beginning to fit me well!.. their skinny chinos are my favorite.. i have them altered.. they also have a 20% discounted section where ive gotten a couple of turtle neck sweater worth over $150 and only paid around $50-$60.. ive got to check out their other locations because each location carries different..
Awesome content, subscribed immediately! Really like the minimalist look of the websites you've shared. They look quality, too. Do you have other similar recommendations, but with texture (like waffle, HOLT TEXTURÉE or GAUFRÉE SHIRT by Sézane)?
I just wanna share my opinion here: I think to truly understand what items you need or items you will wear the most, you will need to take into consideration where you live and how much you travel. For me, I live on a tropical island that’s hot and humid half the year and also rains a lot. So I don’t really need many outerwear. And I’m a sales so I constantly need to be on the move, so I invest in good quality shoes. And most of my wardrobe basics I get from Uniqlo (affordable and good quality) so I know when I sweat through them or get them dirty I’m not too worried about replacing them
Absolutely, you‘re very right about that! I will take this into consideration once I get to know the climate of Miami more. It’s like a COMPLETE turnaround to Germany right now 😄
@@TheStyleConsultant yeah definitely! I also learned recently that “four seasons wool” only apply to places in Europe which has a cooler climate. In places where it’s hot most of the time you’re better off considering linen or seersucker. Another idea for your next video could be that most men like to purchase from stores and just get off the rack items, but I recently started to go to local tailor shops and I get tons of fabric (loro piana and zegna) and style options with their made to measure programs. Saves me a lot of money vs Just going to their stores, which usually cost thousands not only that it might not fit me properly.
@@TheStyleConsultantI live in a tropical country too n I wear linen shirts, polos n plain t shirts all the time.. very simple n repetitive but sometimes people think I look rich
Banana Republic on Black Friday! Abercrombie & Fitch used to be great, but then they gave in on woke agenda… sad story of how to kill a brand. Brooks Brothers in US, and at some places in EU M&S (Marks & Spencer) for essentials.
I want to look better without wearing so many clothes The temperature does not allow wearing all this I want you to make a video about the rings if you can

Can you do one but based on a tropical climate? Like shout east asia humid. Interested in what styles you can recommend
Linen Linen Linen. Apply the same concepts but substitute stuffy materials for ones more loose fitting and breathable.

On the "budget friendly" list I would also add NEXT. British brand at a great price for good material garments.
New sub here, enjoyed your vid. Pls keep the pictures of outfits on screen longer, since that’s the reason why I’m watching.

That black look is so cool. Long coat and chelsea boots… can you break that one down?
Good luck in Miami. Your style will change because of the region and the weather. I'm curious to see what comes next.
I'm trying out Pier One, Ombre and Celio as cheap but decent brands.
