    As Malaysia I always feel that Malaysia's Borneo (East Malaysia) is so underrated.... If tourist come to Malaysia, it always about Kuala Lumpur (KL), which is famous with it twin tower, amazing skyline... but for me, it just still a building which not much differ than NY, London, Dubai, Seoul or Tokyo. But when it come to majestic nature of rain forest, great mountain or amazing islands, Sabah & Sarawak of East Malaysia have a lot to offer. Sadly many tourist just skipped Malaysia's Borneo and went straight to Bali, Palawan or Phuket.
    Malaysia government should promote more tourism in these areas, upgrade better facilities and infrastructures so that it can boost local attraction in Malaysia Borneo. Same thing when I visit Indonesia or Thailand not because of Jakarta or Bangkok, but for Bali's or Phuket... hehe

    • @keangwooichoo6138
      @keangwooichoo6138 ปีที่แล้ว

      We hv the facilities in fact better than bali and philippines.. We shld just clean up the places in langkawi, penang, batu caves, cameron highlands etc etc. Batu caves is so dirty. Penang chew jetty has sea trash.

    • @keangwooichoo6138
      @keangwooichoo6138 ปีที่แล้ว

      Until recently kuala perlis the gateway to langkawi was a dumpsite full of trash. If not because a uk tourist highlighted and thestar paper highlighted, they never want to clean up regularly which is their job.

    OMG, those are the biggest clams I've ever seen in my life and they look delicious grilled with the sauce!
    Also, I didn't know coconut could be toasted, at least never in my country!
    The scenery on the mountain is picturesque and the clouds make it look like a fairyland!
    Purple rice and salted duck eggs look delicious! Thank you for sharing! 👍😃🙌

    Hey Luke. The purple rice wrap in leaf is called Linopod in Dusun language (one of the indigenous people of Sabah). The rice is padi huma/padi bukit that mostly grow on hills and require less water compared to regular white rice. If you want to climb mount Kinabalu. Make sure to climb during the off-raining season. I'll recommend you between the end of June until August. That time will be hot (usually hot like super hot) but you will have a nice view of mount Kinabalu and the surrounding area and most importantly, you can climb mount Kinabalu without worrying the weather is going to rain. You don't want to climb when the weather is not good. Overall, I hope you have a wonderful experience here in Sabah and ohh, thumbs up to you eating a live Butod (even I don't dare to eat a live one, only the one that already been fried 😆)
