Showing your vids to my middle school geography students….you are a hit! We like the back story segments that go along with the tasting and restaurant visit. Keep the posts coming.
Really nice of you to showcase your guide. I appreciate how you interact and respect the local people instead of just doing pure mukbang and treating everyone around u as just invisible.
Have loved your videos for years, but I just wanted to say that I am also loving your wider insight into sharing the environment and conservation efforts in areas you've visited recently. It feels like a natural progression. Keep up the amazing work and all the best.
So true..we who live by the coast are more used to fish from the sea compared to river fish. The taste and texture are very different. Cool vid of Sabah
@@LukeMartin I can't stop binging on your channel! Seriously, it's definitely in my top 5 of food travel vlogs. Please don't EVER stop! Any episodes in Canada?
I was born in Sabah and now residing in Toronto, Canada. Last few videos brought back memory. They are all winners as far as I am concerned. The quality of your videos is awesome. You totally captured the essence of Sabah. Will you be heading to Tawau?
Mark that was spectacular to see all the back order and to see those elephants enjoying their cooling back all together like that peacefully this was totally amazing it's one of your best videos because I like to watch look see how mother Earth has given us such pleasures and those food that you guys caught I watched you do that prawn head butter oh my God my mouth was like help I want some that is one of my favorite parts and also in the lobster and I eat all the green liver and off please help me it is so good I want to thank you so much for that beautiful video I wish you could do some more like that it'll happen in time the right moment the right place to you your family and your crew blessings
Outstanding video, Luke. Totally love the indigenous food, cooked and caught by locals, and the indigenous animals. And Nelson, what a superstar he is! You even got catfished by a goby! This is superlative content!
Interesting vlog! Added in various wonderful wild lives journey were amazing! Thank for sharing! Not only food, but some other topics as well. Way to go! 👏❤
This is near Anthony Bourdain level stuff we have. Luke, the jungle scruffy look goes well with you! For once, you're not clean cut! Outstanding Borneo jungle adventure! Must be so memorable.
I am also from Borneo (southern part). This video bring back my chilhood memory with my late father (passed away last November). My father used to make that catching net by himself and an expert thrower/catcher. The meat in that prawn feet actually not taste better than the prawn meat, but eat it feels like very special (used to fight with my brothers to have them). Loved that wild veggie, we call it "paku" or "pakis". cant remember when the last time I ate them.
Nice to take us again on a wonderful trip to Borneo !! And the food, so fresh and tasteful ! Love your trip to Borneo aldo it is a dangerous place to be when your not with a guide like Nelson.
Sooo awesome! Another fantastic video! I recommended your videos to my son. He wants to visit Asia within the next few years, so I told him your videos are a must!

Hi Luke 🙂Looks like you had so much fun and were enjoying your meal! I always look forward to your videos! You bring joy into my life! Thanks for posting!
My family usually grilled eggplant to make it tender and sweetness. Add sambal terasi it'll be perfect combo. Surprisingly, it's better than fried. All people must to try it
Amazing Sir !!! I Stayed Adjacent Here Previously & Were Involved In The Rural Trunk Roads Project & The Kinabatangan Bridge...Not Withstanding Fresh Water Prawn & Fishes ..The Local Here Frequently Goes For Deer Hunting... Venison Is Easily Available Here Previously..I'm Not Sure About Now..Btw Good Luck !! Take Care Sir !!
You've had the luck like Anthony Boudain. He tried many times to catch fish on camera, without any luck. Whoever he would fish with would bring along already caught fish to bring back to cook. It's just the luck of the host and fishermen. lol Great job though. Those are really large prawns. They look like the freshwater prawns found in the area of Ayutthaya, Thailand.
Very brave of you to go in there Luke .. I lived there for years and refused to vacation to the jungle ... The snakes are scary ... they can inhale a person or a goat whole .... The food are good, but you eat so little 😒😒😒

Throwing the net requires some serious skills.kudos to your guide
Yes seriously does!
Interesting, I'd think the fish would drag the bottle away but I guess they get tired after a while
Well I guess that’s the point so once a big one starts dragging it you go chase it with the boat! Thanks for commenting Al
