My guide Nelson is a local fisherman in the area and he's teaching me how the locals fish for these MONSTER prawns and catfish. We're doing a catch and cook assam pedas style back at the Bilit Adventure Lodge. After our feast let's go for a wildlife cruise to spot the famous Borneo Pygmy Elephants and more!

So true..we who live by the coast are more used to fish from the sea compared to river fish. The taste and texture are very different. Cool vid of Sabah

I am also from Borneo (southern part). This video bring back my chilhood memory with my late father (passed away last November).
My father used to make that catching net by himself and an expert thrower/catcher.
The meat in that prawn feet actually not taste better than the prawn meat, but eat it feels like very special (used to fight with my brothers to have them).
Loved that wild veggie, we call it "paku" or "pakis". cant remember when the last time I ate them.
