The master. No expensive camerawork or gimmicks - just a great conversational style and a wealth of knowledge to pass on…..
I wholeheartedly agree
@@Neil_Gordon +1.... no stupid video-jerk stuff.... like Doug D and many others do. I truly: a) don't see the point b) don't know how they do it. But I do know it's deeply irritating.
@@ChosenHandle117yup, no expensive camerawork, but very good camerawork 👌
Well said👍🏼
Harry is the GOAT in my mind. He knows almost all the back stories too.. he’s on fire 🔥✨⚡️
These auction previews are up there with my favourite content on the channel. Never stop, Harry!
I could not agree more
Love these previews but I want more from these auctions. Maybe in future, film longer and split into 2 episodes?
Sometimes I feel that your best videos are these auction previews. You are immensely knowledgeable about so many cars that it’s amazing! Thanks for sharing the erudition, my friend.
Harry, please strongly consider purchasing that Dakar Mitsubishi Evolution. It’s epic and would make for great Harry’s Garage and Harry’s Farm content!
Just a bloke who loves cars talking to all of us who love them, brilliant.
Harry is rapidly becoming my favorite car personality
Welcome to our gang! Its big..
all car geeks love him!
Never too late I guess. Harry is present in auto world for decades. EVO magazine history, google it, it's interesting. One of rare channels worth spending time on. I even started watching some farm video although I have zero interest in farming. 😅
Also check some old videos, like road trips he had and restoration ones of which some ended pretty recently. If you haven't seen them that is.
And Iain Tyrell
Love these videos Harry. Brilliant.
Harry is great because he’s not fake like a good 75% of the others. He’s a genuine car man as we all know and there’s no bullshit from him, or pointing or shouting. He’s one of the only ones I watch now as the whole car thing is burnt out for me. Im not interested some try hard driving and then regurgitating basic info on a 205 gti/Cosworth/964/e30 m3 while he shouts and shows fake emotions. I do miss the old days of print but that because I’m an old twat I guess 😂
'I just want to show you...', but instead Harry stops at almost all cars and has a well interesting story with it.
Well done!
I say this every time, but I wish these videos were 3 hours long. I learn so much.
This could be 3hrs long,Harry should be the auctioneer. I’m convinced I need every car he’s mentioned 😂
I LOVE THESE WALK ABOUTS! 😊❤
Wonderful. Thanks so much.
11:30pm on a Thursday evening and I'm sat here drooling into my pint!🍺 Thanks Harry!😀👍
He does look good for his age.
well done H another great video Thank You
Sometimes I think my favorite Harry’s are these auction previews. You are just so knowledgeable about everything! How can that be? Harry, I enjoy you immensely. Thanks 🙏
Excellent video Harry. Thanks very much for the tour. 👌
Very nice walk around😊👍
Thank goodness we have harry going around these beautiful car's, I'd be a dribbling mess🤪👍🏴
I love these auction videos and could easily sit here watching Harry talk for over an hour on these lots. Particularly, when I see cars in the background and hoping they make Harry's cut
Think it was that same stand Iconic that wanted to charge visitors an additional £10 to walk round their roped off enclosure ....the cheek! I passed having already paid my show admission price of £42.50......not sure what was behind this charge......so Harry you saved me a tenner and I got up close and personal to the cars.
Great video, Harry. I love all the information!
Thanks Harry for a tour of the auction room.
Harry is just the best at this ,superb knowledge delivered with so much enthusiasm!
"No reserve" on the talent here from Harry, as ever. Many thanks to his helpers too.
Montreal, JPS Esprit, CSL & Europa are all stunning. The colours make them.
Love them. That CSL...
Thank you for wearing the poppy in your video. I find fewer folks wearing them these days in November.
Never forget the sacrifice which gave us democracy and freedom. Cheers 🇨🇦
Where is this free and democratic world in which you live?
Because the one that I live in?
Mmmnot so much!
@@alexandertroy9621 Are you American, then?
@stevemawer848
I'm a Canadian born American/British guy living in England...
But I don't think that it matters much WHERE on this miserable planet you live. There ain't a whole lot of freedom to be found anywhere on it.
This guy must be living in candyland or something.
I use to work in Westbury Wiltshire on the trading estate right opposite where the Marcos were built, as a teenager I dreamed of owning one but never did, I’m 69 years old now and the owner of a TVR Chimaera 4.5 and just love it, a real fun car which always puts a smile on my face as soon as I turn the ignition key, great and very fair review of both these proper British sports cars. 👌
These previews by Harry are pure automotive gold...👍🏻 If only Iconic's actual auction presentation was as good...the first one a couple of months ago was awful with errors by the (poor) auctioneers, (get Johnathan Humbert back on!) poor YT presentation with bad lighting and low resolution, and none of the usual exciting atmosphere in the room they used to have when they were Silverstone auctions. 😖 Let's hope that lessons were learned and they raise their game to the previous high standards otherwise Harry's superb presentation here will be wasted again. Great vid Harry. 😃
Clearly they didn't take my advice or feedback...this auction was a visual disaster. No cars shown on YT, two very poor auctioneers, no atmosphere or entertainment value whatsoever! This company since it's re-brand has completely lost the plot. 😖
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab wow, quite disappointing to hear this in 2023... is it really so hard to get this sorted? plenty of talented people available to hire, i think.
@@2ears1mouth786 It's very odd isn't it? Harry tees them up in such a brilliant fashion only for them to serve up a truly amateurish presentation on YT little better than a CCTV cam. They used to be so good at this previously, it was top entertainment so quite how its come to this is weird.😕
Thanks harry. These are my favorite types of videos you make.
i love how much passion you have for the jaguar project cars. they were a pure expression of car enthusiasm, in defiance of the broader trends we're seeing in the car industry. truly a special set of cars.
Good presentation - like your enthusiasm
I can dream. Thanks for the tour Harry
Harry is just so effortlessly entertaining, his enthusiasm and knowledge shines though in these videos (in particular). I want that Trans Am!
Thanks! You know, I would easily pay few bucks to get a deeper/longer content on that, and I think I’m not the only one.
These auction previews are fantastic!
Someone took a long bath on that EV SL Mercedes... 200k build cost, proving that converting a classic is a money pit. I'd take the Jenson or the 944. Great Video Harry.
'Go find another as they used to say.'
People still say 'FIND ANOTHER!', Harry.
Listen to the excellent Smith and Sniff podcast.
Excellent walkaround Harry, you really are at the top of your game. Respect to you.
Wow, the jps esprit took me back. In around 1984, when i was 7, my next door neighbour had one. It was literally like having KITT from knight rider next door! 😂❤
Love the '77 Trans Am. I saw a blue '74 hiding back there earlier in the video too. The '67 Camaro is also amazing.
ThanX, Harry. So many wonderful cars. Art on wheels. Your presentation is always spot on!
These are just a droolathon. Thanks Harry!
That escort rs2000 is wild
Oh Harry! Your videos are just so watchable! Please keep them coming and don't change a thing. So enjoyable sharing your enthusiasm for cars (and Mk2 Transits!). Rest assured I'll keep watching, I'll keep subscribing....to keep more videos coming soon! Thanks Harry!
Loved the Jensen, and the Clio V6….two cars I would have in my garage , oh and the V10 Lamborghini Gallardo…👍😜🇮🇲👌
That Dakar Pajero would look cool next to your bikes Harry. Perfectly justifiable as a farm vehicle too. Go for it.
"Rock around the farm in" haha. Great preview Harry. Thank you Cheers 🇨🇦
Time to buy another Euromillions ticket so I can afford the petrol to get there. Super preview Harry - I do so like being able to enjoy these cars vicariously through you 👍
I NEVER, EVER thought I would see a car the same as I own on one of these.
My 2004 Civic Type R has 103k on it and they are superb. 😊
Keep the auction videos coming 👍 great fun to watch
Genuine enthusiasm, coupled with a vast knowledge and experience, makes all Harry's videos top viewing material.
I love these videos where Mr Metcalfe is geeking out at auction listings. I totally get his excitement at some of these classics. This auction is, particularly interesting. There is some amazing stuff.
Buy it Harry.......
Very interesting video. Thank you so much Harry. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻🇩🇪
As an Alfa buff, I can't help but point out a few things about the Montreal's history. The car owes its name to the Canadian city, where two identical prototypes were shown during the 1967 World's Fair. They were indeed well received, and a production version was greenlighted. However, the whole car was actually redesigned on its way to production. It is taller and narrower than the concept car, and the V8 fitted even without the bulge on the bonnet: that was added purely as decoration, and it's actually narrower than the engine's airbox underneath.
Thanks for info. I was told by my guide at the Alfa Museum the Montreal bonnet design changed between concept and production because the V8 engine wouldn't have fitted without this change but I will now refer to your explanation, as I'm sure you're correct! They were also the source of where the Montreal was first shown in public..
Never mind that VW Lambo Harry, I'm drooling over that baby blue Frogeye Sprite behind it!
I'm not a fan of Green but wow that CSL is spectacular!
Great walk round 👏, a true enthusiasm from a real petrol head
Thankyou, as always a fabulous run through of some gems!
Love love love these auctions videos 👍🏻👌🏻
Love it ! Thank You Harry!! :D
Thank you, thank you, thank you Harry! I've had my 89 Porsche 944 S2 Cabrio for nearly 22 years now (it was a 30th birthday present to myself!), and still love it: such an underrated car - I'll probably be buried in it!
The V10 gallardo for 70k ..what a machine!
Thank you Harry. I enjoy these auction walk-arounds. You are such a compendium of knowledge, it makes watching utterly compelling.
Always love these episodes!!
Awesome, thanks Harry, super video as always 👍
Lovely, it's like a stroll down memory lane.
Love these so much. Thanks Harry
Your immense knowledge and your easy charm. Always a pleasure to be in your company!
Great content yet again Harry! I'll keep watching...
I'm glad I don't have any money because if I did, how on earth could I choose from among these! Thanks, Harry!
Great tour. Thanks Harry!!
For me, I’ll take the Le Sabre, the 944, and of course a fully restored E Type. Standing by for the lottery results!
Enjoyed the video chap..Excellent
What a great display of dream cars. Look forward to the auction.
Thanks! Nice addition to your content. All the best
I really enjoy these car reviews ...thanks Harry .
Harry, you are a legend. I absolutely love your car reviews but I have to tell you that these auction previews are the best. Really enjoy your knowledge and enthusiasm
Love these auction previews, get very tempted
I love the information & history I learn in these videos thanks! Are there any other channels on TH-cam that are similar anyone would recommend?
Some serious serious metal right there… love these videos Harry!
Wonderful. The JPS Lotus OMG. Yes
Lovely overview. Thanks!
Love the auction stuff!
Another great walkabout. Nice to see another M Coupé getting your attention.
You make a fine commentator for these auction previews!
My favorite videos on TheTube 😍
Great video Harry, I loved that early aston 7 litre, it seemed to take off like a bullet in your shot from setting off from that junction 👌👌
Also I personally love the restoring vids. my favourites where the testarossa vids lambo gearbox etc vids
( also not forgetting the lancia ones!)
Stats don't always matter
I think the second rangerover one got it's views from Jeremys addition as he still draws interest for his views on cars 😍
Looking forward to your content this year 👍👍!
Matt black bonnets were cool when I was a kid. 50 odd years later I discover why!
I never knew why either, at 58 I discover why😊
Some great stuff for sale, great video also.
15:27 Lotus Esprit S2 ..if i owned one of those it would have to be in white ^_^
16:39 BMW 3.0 CSL - I love those cars ^_^
27:43 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am ..how cool is that! ^_^
6:37 (to the right) appears to be a Ferrari F355 ^_^ ..sadly Harry fails to checkout any of the Ferrari's. In one shot there appears to be a DeLorean (see if you can spot it).
In regards to the Gallardo, Harry. They’re cheap because they’re extremely high maintenance. The engines are made of cheese, and unless the bore in the engine itself has been rectified early in its life (which it’s likely that it hasn’t, as most weren’t) then they’re a ticking time bomb, sadly. They’re not Audi V10’s, they’re Lambo’s own. From 06 onwards they were better but by much. Not to mention the cost of other maintenance.
Such a shame, because as you say, a V10 Lambo, Manual, for that money, is such good value. Unfortunately there’s a reason for that :(
Love these auction vids 👍👍👍
another superbly presented feature, your descriptions and sentiments are perfect. thank you, I can only dream of being there and actually buying a car ,,,,
Evo 6 in that beautiful blue, Elise again in the perfect colour, E36 M3, GTR very nice and the Mustang.
That would do me. :D
So glad you mentioned the Pajero Evo! I saw the front wheel and arch earlier in the video and was willing you cover it!
A pleasure as always
Auction videos are the best... if I had the money and storage space I'd be bidding on about half these motors!
Great video harry,, keep them coming
transit and the white mk1 1600 by far my favourite..crazy...buick is cool..but ud have to sleep in it to mind it lol..love Harrys walk around..proper info, straight talk ..just perfectio
