Our banking system is useless. My husband faced a fraud and nothing happened. Proper formal mails and letters were given to the bank and to the cyber crime department within 10-15 mins of the fraud. Still nothing happened. The bank credited the amount for 60 days and locked that amount. And after that took back the money stating we dint find any fraud.
Same happened with me, but I had report to cybercrime via phone 1930, so they freeze the scammer account , only chance to get money once the amount has been freezed, still I'm chasing with police and honestly they told to get update from crime cell team however These are not very helpful cause after the report the police or cyber cell team will be stereotypes without information

Data on most android smart phones are encrypted in transit. And If your are using the android version above 10 then it means even if you have given the permission to the app to see your gallery,Apps can't simply view your entire gallery but only the ones that you give explicit permission to share.

Aadhar Masking is not of any use once it's already leaked.. Which most Aadhar IDs are. Faced it myself when LinkedIn verified profile was hacked because of Aadhar leak! AADHAR failed because of unprepared implementation.
Though as companies are conducting neuro analysis of a person and then bombards them with the products he or she may get influenced to buy fail to understand that humans when given so many choices also reach saturation point and get repelled by the same things/choices

@divas there are no such regulations by RBI. I spent hours combing through their circulars and notifications on their website. The closest mention is “unauthorised transactions” where neither the user or bank is at fault. And the way it’s written it’s very easy to prove that its users wrongdoing/ negligence. And even if the case that RBI protected me. Aamn janta doesn’t know how to act on this right of ours. I don’t know how. Do I go to bank and create a scene? Will they not help me then since I am the arse now. Do I find a lawyer? Aren’t they expensive? How do I find a lawyer etc etc

I have facial recognition on on my phone. But my phone can now recognise my face even if I am wearing huge sunglasses or have my face covered or am in the dark. Don't misled general public how is bank recover a amount if its a scam than the scammer instantly transfer funds then did u expect bank to return the amount, Bank is only liable to initiate the protocols for the returning of that didputed amount .
Stop spreading misinformation... people will always be irresponsible while doing transactions assuming they will get the money anyway....it's only the customer's responsibilty to verify before doing any transaction....neither a bank nor rbi can help in this..bank is only responsible if further transaction /debit is done even after reporting previous transaction.
