Wait, the retail price was up 40%, that's because the wholesale is up 40%. That means the margins are the same. Now, the real issue not the price of the cars, it's the price drivers are willing to take per mile. There are so many scabs out there going around scales running for directs that don't pay for trucking insurance. The semi based systems also turn the per mile down because they can run 9 cars at .45 per mile and still make money. What you are proposing is a unionization of Hotshot haulers. That will add dues, regulations and much more. If you are in Florida the rates are really bad. You can have dry run fees in your contract. Now, the brokers make what they keep, so you are right about the broker. You are also right if more drivers would negotiate there would be better rates because brokers don't want to spend time negotiating so they usually give you the rate to get that load off their que. Central cannot and will not have a dryrun fee policy, it's up to the carrier to negotiate that with the broker.

That video was 100 on point and it's the same way in class 8 semi's people get into driving without learning the a -z, that's been a problem in transportation since Jimmy Hoffa went missing. Stay Focus
Everything you said is right on the money. I pull a 53 van, and this is exactly my approche. I post my truck on DAT, and never call anybody, let them call me and I give a rate, If they don't like it, they can call U-Haul and haul it themselves. The problem is the newbies who only calculate the cost of diesel, they don't look at it as a business, you shouldn't haul a load of electronics for the same rate of recycled cardboards just because it's a light load. No broker is going to let you now the declared value of the freight, you have to ask what the commodity is, and ballpark the value, and charge accordingly, not just by the weight, and ofcourse, there are so many things that factor in to give a rate. DON'T HAUL CHEAP FREIGHT 😡😡
Good stuff, bro, minds like yours are priceless. It's the people you're talking about who are messing up the business for the rest of us, while making the brokers richer.
Thanks for watching. Hauling won’t get better until we sit out. I won’t move my truck unless I get 1.25 per mile. Get off the load boards also. Go deceleration to Dealer and build your business
Yes sir absolutely, yes it needs to be some type of union support. Yes, standards need to be made and enforced. I'm about to get into the business myself, and my lady is starting the business together.
Brookers can’t make you take it. Rates are low because Haulers are desperate and dumb. I don’t move my truck unless I get what I want. Haulers are the reason rates are low
Hey man great video , ley me ask something i am really interesting in start my own business hauling cars, i an from gerogia to , do you offer any curse or training thtat can i get? Let me know
Damn cheap loads then they feel ashamed of what they have done. They don’t wanna even tell you the reason because they know deep down inside they screwed up.
I charge 75 dollars. What is the time it take to get your truck/Trailer then go to get your load. That could take 2-3 hours. Imagine you get there and car isn’t ready or it’s gone. Your time is your money
The Loadboards are for cheap loads. Brookers post loads on there to find Uneducated desperate haulers. Most Haulers are desperate so rates will continue to get worse

hello please do i need to have CDL-A license to haul 3-5 car? thank you
Good evening. You need CDL if you haul 4 cars or more. I have a corse that will teach you the entire business
What are your terms on your dry run fee. I see there is a spot a carrier can add terms. We are new carrier 4 months in business for car hauling

Hey Vonn. How can i reach you, or you reach me?
And this year rates are about $3.00 a mile
When you buy a new car you are charged a $1000 delivery fee. So, that's what the broker is getting and trying to give you as less as possible.
Damn yall making more than dry van
I like the way you operate brother but these guys moving cars for 50 cents per mile sht crazy and they will brag about
Move it your self

A lot of dealers only wanting to pay less than a 1.00 mile too. They see that the brokers are doing it so they’re jumping on the bandwagon too.
@@mikejennings7358 that’s why I say no. I got clients that pay 1 dollar a mile on a 440 mile trip. Don’t be desperate
Funny
1.25 cents a mile your the problem bro
What u mean? By u the problem bro ? Explain 😮
@@frankfranko9023that's because he's one of the crooks who rob hard working Americans.
