- In this video, I explain ALL of the content required for the "Genetic Fingerprinting" section for AQA A Level Biology. This includes: what genetic fingerprinting is, VNTRs, gel electrophoresis and DNA profiling. Time stamps are in the comments.
The content in this video crosses over with other exam boards too.
I also go through a few exam questions and explain their mark schemes.
Please leave a comment if you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them!!! :)
00:28 = What is genetic fingerprinting?
01:21 = Variable Number Tandem Repeats (VNTRs)
03:13 = Process of DNA fingerprinting - Gel Electrophoresis
07:01 = Uses of genetic profiling
09:25 = Exam questions and mark schemes
Very useful, thank you! I'm doing my A Levels independently and your videos are really helping me get through the last chunks of A2!
I've just finished the full course for biology using this, you have been an absolute lifesaver as my exams are in 10 days, thank you so very much.
You're so welcome! Good luck in your exams x
what did u get
@@seray6942 an A! :)
This is great. Thanks so much!
thank you!
You're a life saver but how can CAG be a VNTR if CAG codes for an amino acid ? because VNTRs are introns which are non coding sequences
