I had “the” virus in Seattle before it was officially named. Day 2 I went and got a Myers cocktail vitamin IV drip. Day 3 I was fine. N of 1 study of course! My wife and I still get a vitamin IV drip before traveling overseas. It SEEMS to help boost our immune system but again, no hard evidence. I probably get one every 3-4 months on average either before a trip or after a 60 hour work week when I’m exhausted. ❤ Great vid!
Thank you for your comment. There is absolutely no harm in getting a vitamin drip every 3-4 months as our demands on body are so high and our environment is toxic and polluted. I only have issues when this is used excessively without doing blood testing to exclude if there is any other disease process or hormone imbalance causing symptoms.
if you did not experience any benefits then most likely you did not have any nutrition or vitamin deficiency that could have been corrected with Myers. I always recommend discussing with the doctor, any potential symptoms you may have so appropriate IV therapy can be ordered. In our practice we only use customized IV drips instead of a stand-alone protocol for everyone.
Thank you for your comment. Of course, IV nutrition is a great way of providing depleted nutrients. We use IV nutrition in our practice as well. My only concern is that I see overuse of IV nutrition in many instances even when the deficiencies could have been easily managed with intramuscular injections
Hey Doc, I have been suffering from post covid syndrome for last 6 months. After consulting too many doctors, I recently met a doctor who asked me to go for IV of nutrients. I have symptoms such as palpitations, brain fog, dizziness, extreme fatigue, muscle and joint pains, toothache, muscle twitching. Before going for IV he has asked me to take 3g Vit C orally daily and Vit D 60000iu alternate days. The IV he was talking about was mainly Vit C (5g), glutathione, NAC, Thiamine. Do you think if we are approaching the right treatment. I never have had IV infusion before and I am 33.
Thank you for your comment. There is not much data supporting the use of IV nutrition for post COVID syndrome. you may have high levels of inflammatory markers which may be contributing to a lot of your symptoms. I do suggest getting a ESR and C-reactive protein and a ferritin level has a can be evidence of increased inflammation in your body. The IV infusion therapy seems appropriate in this case. You should expect to see these markers such as ESR, C-reactive protein and ferritin go down if the IV therapy is helpful. If you do not see these changes after your infusion then I do not see any value in continuation of further IV treatments
Thanks for your comment. Genrally speaking our body has enough electrolyte reserves and fluids to handle a dental procedure. IV fluids to prevent dehydration are absolurely fine. my point is that a lot of places use iv nutrition even when its not indicated. I am not opposed to IV nutrition however, I do feel that it is not appropriate in a lot of cases. We offer iv nutrition therapy to clients at our practices as well only when indicated.
@@HealingwithHEALOR Thanks for clarifying nutrition vs. fluids. My patients getting put to sleep for oral surgery get 1 litre bag of Lactated Ringer's through an IV catheter.
Thank you for your question. There is no single IV drip to help with acne or pigmentation. if he have polycystic ovary syndrome which is causing acne and other issues, drips containing zinc can be beneficial as they help reset hormone levels. Vitamin-C infusion can help produce more collagen and also lighten the skin, glutathione infusions also are associated with reduction in melanin in the skin which results in reduction in pigmentation. My best advice is to get a full hormone panel workup done and have a medical provider review the underlying cause for pigmentation and acne
Thank you for your comment. Yay for coming off antidepressants. The goal is to boost the production of serotonin and dopamine in the body. IV nutrition may be able to help alleviate some of those withdrawal symptoms. you can consider getting an IV with lysine which is a growth hormone booster and taurine which is a mood enhancer in addition to getting good doses of magnesium and other vitamins. Everyone is different, some of our clients had very good results with IV therapy and some had absolutely no response. The only way to find out is to get an infusion and see how you feel.
Hi Dr Raj, I take multivitamin, biotin, vitamin D3,vitamin k2, zinc, omega 3, collagen powder, one table spoon of dark cocoa powder, 200mg of vitamin c powder daily to be a healthy person. I am 42 years old and I like to take care of my skin and health. I don’t have any health issues but doctor did put me on Tyroid medicine recently . I have been loosing hair for years. Is there any vitamin I should add? I don’t think I need IV therapy?
Thank you for a comment. A lot of times we have this nutritional deficiencies because the nutrients are not being absorbed through our gastrointestinal system. I do think that you are taking excessive amounts of supplements. If you are a female, sometimes zinc supplementation can raise testosterone which can cause hair loss. Biotin is a good vitamin for hair skin and nails. I have seen that a intramuscular injection of biotin tends to work better than taking biotin supplements. There is no documented benefit of taking collagen powder. Vitamin-C is completely safe unless you have history of kidney problems or kidney stones. I would also recommend getting an estrogen level checked, as high estrogen levels can also block the effect of thyroid hormones. I do not think you need IV therapy, however you should consider getting an intramuscular injection of certain nutrients to help replenish your body stores. for additional information on vitamins you can check out our blog post healor.com/blog/what-are-vitamins-and-which-are-essential Wish you the best of health from Las Vegas.

You are so welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it. IV nutrition can be very beneficial in selecetd cases however it is often overused and not always needed.
Thank you so much for the question. most of the vitamins and nutrients can be given by IM Route. Some of the vitamins are hypertonic and need to be diluted to reduce discomfort. Is there any particular vitamin or nutrient you are looking for
@@syntabelle Thank you for your question. Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid is quite acidic and requires dilution for high doses. Intramuscular injections of high doses can be quite painful and can form scar tissue in the injected muscle. I would recommend no more than 500 mg (1ml) to be injected intramuscularly. If a higher dose is required, you could inject 1 mL (500 mg) intramuscularly into different muscle groups on a different site.
Hi josh, thank you for a comment. Only your Dr. can determine based on your medical history and blood work to determine what injections would work best for you. I do not recommend getting nutritional injections without appropriate blood work.
