      @@diehard7517 People don't care as much if people actually put effort into reactions. The entire point of react content is to react, and there are people who actually do that. The reason Jinx was getting piled on so much because he did way less than the bare minimum. He would stare at the screen, smiling, for 10 minutes, and the entire time say like two words.

Like Blind Wave react to films and TV shows but they don't include the whole film/episode in the reaction and they have a discussion at the end of it which is usually about half the time or even the same amount of time as the reaction

      @@ghoulsome9483 The first one would not hold its weight in court as all you'd have to prove is that the words "candy" and "saga" have existed before King trademarked them and are generic language words, just like how Stoic did when King claimed The Banner Saga would get people cofused because it had the word "saga" in it. As per the nemesis system, it could be patented if it's a programming related thing. That doesn't prevent people from taking it down in court if they can show proof that the same method existed before the patent had been granted by the applicant.

    There’s two types of react channel. One actually edits down their reactions to only the most entertaining parts and then discusses what they just watched afterwards. These are actually good.
    The other just plays the entire thing they’re reacting to without any cuts, and their only reactions are to occasionally nod, laugh, or make a dumb comment, and for the most part they just sit there mutely contributing nothing while the actual worthwhile content plays. These are just awful, and are really only one step up from reuploading a video you didn’t make and pretending you did make it.

    Just the other day I found out a channel made a 40+ minute reaction video to like an mini-video essay I did on Mario and Rotten Tomatoes. I've never felt more insulted and famous at the same time. He called me "Skinny Thanos" because I used a violet key-light. Honestly though I take it as a compliment. Not only did the man cure my body dysmorphia, but also gave me my Official Rap Name :)

    A react channel I really like is Blind Wave. They makes sure to edit the content so it’s not just a reupload of movies and shows, they also have an in depth discussion afterwards, usually lasting longer than the actual reaction.

    I watch people reviewing movies that I know, because I like to know what their first impressions are and how they like it.
    Basically it's me showing a movie to a friend but I don't have any friends.
    And back in the day when I did, it usually turned out to be a disappointment/embarrassment.
