Svetlana was even trying not to celebrate too much at the net, her reaction was subdued because she felt sorry for Dinara. So much comes down to mental strength, and Kuznetsova was just in business mode here.
Yes...i think Dinara did a good job to get the number 1. She won Rome and Madrid...mmm🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Serena Williams, the G.O.A.T. July 2009
@@henrym6758 Because it was hard 3-setter and Kuznetsova lost 3 matches to Aga in 2008. And Aga was a top 10 player here. Aga is better player than Dinara, she has WTA Finals title. Dinara has no slam and no finals.
@@SmithyPL My money was always on Kuznetsova in this match. Safina's strengths seem to be confined to hitting the ball deep and hard. But she seems unwilling to do anything else, especially as the matches wear on. Any skilled counterpuncher who can handle her depth and penetration stands a good chance against her. This match was aways on Kuznetsova's racket. Safina probably had a better chance against Ivanovic, but she blew that one.
One very ironical coincidence-
Svetlana won both of her grandslam finals in 74 minutes.
Also both in straight sets against her compatriots.

Great match from Kuznetsova!

Safina’s coach later said he knew she was going to lose the final because the day before Safina couldn’t stop crying from the tension 😢
I cant watch this, Dinara should have never lost this match...
Kuznetsova has beaten Radwanska/Serena/Stosur in a row...
Not you slipping Radwanska in there😭😭😭😭

@@luisamiller81 she has no serve. and serve is may be most important stroke
Do you have Safina Kuznetosva 2008 Tokyo final?
And Kvitova Hantuchova 2012 Beijing?
Wozniacki vs Jovanovski 2012 Toykyo
Many thanks
Dinara Safina es grandiosa
Sarina played such a great first game. Then it all went downhill FAST
İ was child and i was very sad for Dinara 😢🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
I noticed that Safina was standing on the line when serving, and no line judge was calling her. Probably told to shut up.
This is still so uncomfortable to watch.
Ending on a double fault fucking sucks
Well she was a horrendous server so yeah she sucks
Nothing like the “world number 1” double faulting on match point (and it wasn’t exactly a good miss)
