- I’m in the beginning stages of preparing for my Digital Dash swap out of a 1992 S10 Blazer into my 1987 Regal T.

Dude you saved me from having to buy a new gauge set I have a 89 gmc sierra s15 with the digital gauges like this in it and nothing works on it besides the check engine light and brake lights definitely pulling mine apart to fix it

I have a 90 sonoma with ddash. when i first got t the dash smoked (litterall,scared shit out me) I sent it out to california, got it back and before I install it i'd like ti ointest all the wires,. Do you know where I can d=get a pinout schematic for this truck, I can find em for all but the 9mand its differen than the jimmy. Als ois the buffer you talk about built into the das,or somewhere else? Help would be appreciatedThanks again for the video
The pinout use to online but got deleted by host I guess. Thats what I used.

I have 2 of them, I had one on FB market place for $250 with 155k miles. Nobody wanted to pay more then $100. Finally deleted the post n decided to throw it in my s10. N the 123k mile one I'll throw in my 87 LS monte

i have one of these clusters and ppl said you cant get them to work in an 95 s10. well i have but cant get the tach to work. im not sure if its the tach its self not working or the fact that its a 4 cyl truck and its a v6 tach. if you have any info that can help me id greatly appreciate it.
That really shouldn’t matter, I had mine hooked up to a V6 & a V8. I would look into re-soldering the tach connections.
Which wires do you tap into to make the whole thing turn on? I found one at the junkyard 2 days ago I stashed
Pin: 18 & 21 to battery +
(Try pin 15 to battery + as well if it doesn’t power on)
Pin: 9 & 24 to ground -

I also got two at a junkyard one only the speedometer works and the other only thing that doesn’t work is the speedometer will this work for both?

i did the v6 mod, and then my tachometers red and orange light went out… i undid the v6 wire solder and it still didn’t work. do you have any idea?
I’m not too sure. These dashes were notorious for going out. Could be a number of things.

Where did you find the information for reparing the cluster swap digital? Do you have the link?
I found a few videos on TH-cam on how to repair. Check out some of my other videos on this swap as I don’t know the link by memory, but I did supply it in the videos.
@@MrGriffin23 did you ever find some one who knows how to reset the mileage yet?? This is an unexpected crossroads for me now. I have the stuff to do a 2015 Camaro dash swap on my Monte Carlo SS but this a great option that I didn’t think about. I had considered the GTA dashes but they are far and few between. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
@@502undergroundmedia6 Unfortunately I did not. There is a company ODO-PRO.com. They service odometers. I was gonna call them. I don’t know if they work on units this old, but possibly they could refer if not. Hope that helps.
How could I repair my digital dash? It does not turn on the dash and it does not light any indicators. it only turns on the parking alert and the seat belt alert
Possibly bad connections (solders) with the power supply. I found out how to repair this on google. Not saying that’s the fix, but from what I seen this fixing many of the issues in the dash.

A good way to get solder off of a board for removal and or to reflow or reduce the amount of solder on a connection, is with a frayed wire and flux. ; Flatten a wire like a brush, clean the board with 90% ISO, then wipe the target area down with flux. saturate your iron with solder. When the selected connection stars to flow, put the wire under the iron and let it heat up. The excess solder will wick up the wire and stick to it instead of the pin and ribbon. Keep heating and wicking until desired amount of solder is left on the connection. Once the brush is saturated with solder, cut it off, refrey another section of wire and move to the next area..Once done, wipe down the board with 90% ISO. It will leave the board and connections nice and clean looking. P.S...Im looking around for dash options for my 86 S-10...I forgot those dashes even existed. Cheers!.

Potentially yes. I’d start at the VSS, if not could be something internal with the digital dash.
Hello, do you have the electrical diagram of the s10 Blazer 94 instrument panel that you can provide me? The current panel is the same as the one in the posted video. I want to change the instrument panel for an old school panel that works for S10 / Blazer / SONOMA 90-97
Unfortunately I do not. The diagram I referenced before, used to be online, but has since been taken down. If you reference my wiring video you can take screen shots of some of the schematics. That’s should help.
I have one of these in my S10 it gradually quit working now it's all out . Can it be fixed
More than likely it’s your power supply. It’s a small piece of the circuit board where the solders tend to fail. They can be re-flowed and usually that will fix it. Not 100%, but from my experience it has worked.

Just depends. If you can find it at the junkyard, they are $40, on eBay they can be $200-300
