Girl, talk about the devil.... In seventh grade we went to New Orleans. This was my old youth pastor's last trip with our youth group. On the way there our van broke down on bridge over Lake Pontchartrain. We waited for 7 hours to get help. One of my best friends had to go to the hospital for an ovarian cist (we thought she was having appendicitis). One of the youth on our trip acted out SO MANY TIMES, including dangling over the bridge when the van broke down.......... we accidentally parked in front of a lady's house who practiced voodoo. We moved our van obviously and apologized so many times. She threatened us with voodoo magic and we didn't believe her obviously. but some guys she knew followed us ALL day and when we got back to our church that night, they legit tried to break in to do God knows what to us, and when they couldn't, she had them steal our rental van that we got when the church van broke. My youth pastor's wallet and ID were stolen and the keys to the church, so someone could've broke in again!!! Then on the way back, our OTHER church van broke down, so all we had was the rental. We had to wait 12 hours to get the new rental. Then the week after, our church had to return both rental vans ALL THE WAY BACK TO NEW ORLEANS.....
On another trip to Honduras, our Sr Pastor lost is passport, so he had to go to the US embassy and come home a week later.... then found it in his suitcase when he got home..........
But honestly, these memories are ones that I will never forget. God is so good through it ALL.

Loved this video! I've been on many mission trips in my 18 years of life! :) Both my parents were traveling missionaries. My family and I lived in a van for a while and we traveled across the entire west coast of the United States telling people about Jesus through our music. We were a band & we'd sing at many different places. Sometimes churches & other times, in broken neighborhoods, and shelters. Loved that part of my life. My family and I are still serving God in our church. Doing the Lord's work is always awesome! :)

I went for a missions trip with my husband. The devil tried lots of distractions but the Lord gave us victory.

Wow, your transparency here was beautiful. You just don’t know how your honesty may have ministered to someone else. We all have flaws & admitting yours to the great big world shows courage. For the past 2 summers, I have been doing this trip that is in our state. It's a summer service where we help fix some houses in the community. It has been a big part of me growing closer to God. We saw the devil during those weeks but he didnt win. The whole camp was amazing because it didnt matter where everyone came from, we all were just spreading love and making new friends.

This is a very late response but I went on a mission trip last summer to Miami to help with a Vacation Bible School, do service projects, and help promote a church in this one neighborhood :) it was SO AMAZING and Gods presence was just so there and so strong and wonderful. this summer I am going on a mission trip to Puerto Rico to help with hurricane relief and spread the word of God!
I needed to hear this, Praise God. 😊 I struggle with selfishness too and I think God is trying to teach me about serving others. This was a blessing and inspiration to hear. 💙 Pray that I have a heart and desire to pray for and serve others. In Jesus Name

In 2016 I went to Bloomington, Il, and this year in 2017, I went to East Moline, Il. In 2020, our church is co-sponsoring a work camp with another church in the area, for the Kansas City area.
Way way way back (1969) I was a on a Mission trip to the Navajo Nation. It was beautiful and God allowed me to lead 5 Navajo children to the Lord. I'll never forget that trip.

hey taylor. great video. i can see how the mission trip taught you many things. it's brave of you to admit that you are selfish but tell us how helping others, sharing your time, etc. feels so much better. it's a true food for thought.

I am a missionary and I am about to head back out to Congo, Sri Lanka and Cambodia in about a week and a half. You are so right that the devil doesn't want us to do anything that advances His kingdom. The money that I had been raising for a year had completely disappeared, but yesterday, God brought it back. Praise Jesus!! At the end of the day, God doesn't react to the devil. The devil reacts out of fear of what God is already doing and what He is going to do in your life. But God always prevails, He is never surprised, He is always in control! And I love that you told your testimony from your heart, I agree- it's so much more personal and powerful that way. Hey, Taylor!! My name is Leah and I can really relate to everything you said in this video!! I went on my first missions trip this past summer to Rwanda, Africa and experienced a lot of the same things. It was evident that Satan was doing his best to stop God’s work from being done while we were there. For instance, while we were there, one of our team members got really sick, and I got sick as well, luckily not as bad. I also had to speak to around 150 girls my age which was terrifying because I’m usually better with talking to little kids or adults but it’s really hard for me to talk to people my age. Lastly, a man was attacked a killed by a rhino. Anyways, I think it’s great what you and Ashley are doing by making these videos and glorifying God through them!! Have a nice day!!
Taylor, you sound incredibly like me! I have a fear of talking with other kids my age (which would be teenagers). I prefer to keep to myself and not help or talk to anybody, but I’ve wanted to go on a missions trip for a while now. My mom won’t let me go, though. She thinks I’m too young. But I couldn’t think of a better thing to do. I really want to share my testimony with people - even just with friends. I don’t have any church friends though.

It's very true how the devil tries his hardest. And honestly, that was a fear of mine too get closer to God because I was scared the devil would come in a disrupt all good things in my life. But I finally realized just during this video that THAT was the devil trying to fill me into thinking that. I'm so glad you the lighter of it as I have too. Please keep spreading the word! 🖤

Their is no devil, Yes god says that their is, but it's all up to you on what you think.
No, but I spent 3 weeks in Mexico (1998), after I graduated from High School. We were LDS, and I had to tell my friend not to give our mutual friend and her sister a Book of Mormon. They are Catholic!! 90% of Mexico is Catholic, they couldn't have converted.
