I think you have the Midas touch when it comes to succulents. Organised, meticulous and fearless. All d hard work pays off. Thankyou for another good vdo
You are most welcome Swati. I really believe that too much TLC kills them. I think if one doesn't stress too much, the plants just do what they do. Thanks for watching.
Hello! Finally, I found a person from the other side of the Earth who clearly and essentially explained and showed how it is done, what is the difference and what are the options. Thank you! I want to hug you! ☺
Good morning from NY! You chill me out so much whenever I watch you in your succulent garden. I feel like I just sat and had a cup of coffee and a sandwich with you. Your endless waffling about succulents is such a delight for me. iWaffle too when I am excited about something... I mean that in the nicest way possible. Thank you for your endless vigor and encouragement. You're a gem and I love you and your casual teaching style. I do have a question for you. Have you posted video on how you drill your glazed ceramics? That big ole hole is so beautifully done and I am wondering how you pull this off without cracking the ceramic. I have a couple of planters that I would love to use but they have no drainage. I think I need some trusted advice and encouragement to edge myself closer to taking a masonry bit to them
Hello Liz!!! This video was so useful. Today I placed my leaves under the growlight, and bought coconut too because my expert teacher told us 😉 Thank you very much!!! Hugs and kisses Liz 🤎💜🤎
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK I have actually freeze up some Paranakan(not those I gave you before)bachang for you, looking forward to share with you when I see you again. Wonder if they are still nice after so many months in the freezer 😄
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK All good here but it seems winter wants to stay a bit longer😑. Makes it harder to go and out and play in the garden 🌱🌷🍃🌲. Hope Wal is doing well.🤗
THANK YOU luz I learned something on planting the leaf. Ahhh so cute Pedro flies to mama. And I sure learned the difference on the area you put the leaves. Very interesting. THANK YOU Liz. God Bless
Great video, very interesting to see that leaves in the dark will give babies too, i may try that technique. I dont have growing lights and i dont want to get into that, at least, not yet…thanks for the video…Tere (USA)
Hi Liz I received my first set of succulent. Well ra5ed vendor. Shallow treys, good dirt etc. HOWEVER they came larger than I expected. Not just tiny leaves. Should I break them all apart and start propergating in nice dirt OR bury them a bit in shallow dirt, and see if these get bigger, THEN I break them apart? Thoughts?
If they come in cluster, best time to separate and propagate. If they're single big plant, I would try to get a leaf or two from the bottom and then plant them in big pot to grow.
I’m comparing the weather of Australia and Ireland if I can grow them like yours I have few here so far they are outside surviving. Thank you for all the info Te
You're welcome Weng. You have 8 to 9 months of the year to grow them outside and bring them inside in Winter. Plenty of time to color them up. You can also grow them indoors with a grow light to maintain the color.
Coco also "breathes" unlike a lot other soiless mediums. There's a name for the action but I can't remember it, lol. It's a great growing medium once you get used to it
Depends on the succulent. Some like Sempervivum, some sedum, Orostachys, some agave, can be covered with snow and die off but will come back in spring. The coldest my succulents in my garden have experienced and survived is -11°C | 12.2°F.
They can be laid in soil directly after harvest as long as they don't get watered immediately or wet when they haven't got any roots, since that's the fastest way to rot them.
March 14, 2022 is Autumn(March, April, May) in Australia(Southern hemisphere), is when I took the leaves and cutting. It can be confusing if you're in the Northern hemisphere (AUTUMN is Sept, Oct, Nov) because our seasons are reverse. The season doesn't change worldwide. The month is not relevant because it's dependent whether you're in the Northern or Southern hemisphere. If a plant is dormant in summer for example....it means its dormant in Northern hemisphere Summer(June, July, August) and also dormant in Southern Hemisphere Summer(December, January, February).
There are many GENUS of succulents and it'll be impossible for me to list all of them here. Growth rate will depend on season, dormancy, temperature, location and specific species, hybrids and cultivars. Leaves also needs light to grow.
It all depends on the month/season and the amount of rain we get. Last month of spring, and today we have 50% humidity but tomorrow...forecast rain with 88% humidity.
Hi Liz, great video especially for a beginner like me. Have a fabulous day!
Thanks for watching, glad you found it useful. Have a great day!🥰

Hi Liz, What grow bulb/light are you using? You are a good teacher. I particularly like your experiments. Very scientific and interesting!!!
The one shown in this video is a 14 watt LED bulb. I hope my video is useful. Thanks for watching.
Coir is absolutely brilliant used this way. The only problem is finding space for all the trays! lol

I use Mars Hydro SP3000. Haven't tried other brands but as long as it has full spectrum...it's okay.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK thank u ,
What is the container you have and why do you propagate like that? Do you have a video on first starting or getting that organizer
This is just one way of the many different ways. No specific video on the container but I have shown it in many of my VLOG videos. Cheers

Love the shows and want to ask what you think about using used dryer sheets instead of.lace curtains?
Whatever is the most cost effective is what I use. Thanks for watching.

You're welcome!
Coco also "breathes" unlike a lot other soiless mediums. There's a name for the action but I can't remember it, lol. It's a great growing medium once you get used to it
But it's very water absorbent and after some time it repels water
Hello, Liz! I love your content. In your experience what is the lowest temperature succulents can be left outside in?
Depends on the succulent. Some like Sempervivum, some sedum, Orostachys, some agave, can be covered with snow and die off but will come back in spring.
The coldest my succulents in my garden have experienced and survived is -11°C | 12.2°F.
Hi Liz,
I noticed you have them on paper towels to dry out and then grow roots. I thought they had to dry out for a few days then can be laid in soil?
They can be laid in soil directly after harvest as long as they don't get watered immediately or wet when they haven't got any roots, since that's the fastest way to rot them.
Liz, what season( month ) did you propagate tinkerbelle? It’s pretty!!!
March 14, 2022 is Autumn(March, April, May) in Australia(Southern hemisphere), is when I took the leaves and cutting. Hi thx for video, also in your opinion which succulents do you think grow the fastest? And can the leaves grow in the dark with not light?
There are many GENUS of succulents and it'll be impossible for me to list all of them here. Growth rate will depend on season, dormancy, temperature, location and specific species, hybrids and cultivars. Leaves also needs light to grow.
Forgot about the season 😂
Hello po, do you spray them or you let them dry until they root?
They already have roots. I'll water them when the soil dries up to an inch of the surface.
Does anyone know what is the general humidity inside her house?
It all depends on the month/season and the amount of rain we get. Last month of spring, and today we have 50% humidity but tomorrow...forecast rain with 88% humidity.
How much liq fertilizer i have seaweed solution and
How many times?
I apply half of recommended dilution for liquid fertilizer every two weeks.
The steps : first cutting, then drying in shades, then putting in soils, is that true
???????????????????
Yes. The leaves I always wait till they have roots before putting in soil.
💚💚💚
Have you ever had any Succulents that randomly variegated?
Yes. Quite a few. Thanks for watching.
Hola Pedrito
