Scentbird is not worth it though, sounds like a rip off. $14.95 is just over £12 for a 5ml sample. That means you pay over £120 per 50ml or £240 per 100ml for a perfume that would otherwise cost between at most £80-£130 per 100ml bottle. That means you're paying much more in the long run. It's better to go to the store and sample perfumes, you can even get free samples, and then you can pick the perfume you like and buy a big bottle which is better value for money.
I work at a perfume counter and a tip we share for ladies who say scent does not last on them is this, use a musk oil on your pulse points first then spray your perfume over it. There's white musk oil that's clean and fresh or there is regular musk oil for less noticeability. Also, layer your scents. Those shower gels and lotions and powders are made slightly different than the perfume so they layer nicely blend and add longevity.
A lot of scents would not last on me either until it was suggested I put unscented lotion on first, kinda like putting makeup primer on your face to make your face last. It works for me and allows my natural chemistry to blend with a scent unhindered.
An unusual scent that you will either love or hate is Womanity by Thierry Mugler. It's a powerhouse aquatic fig salty masterpiece that's lasts forever with and without lotion.

My goodness, I love your channel! I know you started your channel for a "missed" age group, but I'm 58 and have gotten so much out of your reviews. Today I used the Shisheido eyelash curler (recommended in a previous video), used the only waterproof mascara I had... and I have lashes!!! It is the first curler that "fits" my eyes. I appreciate how natural you are and that you don't try to make each video perfect. I have "binge" watched and have now seen about half of the uploads. I genuinely appreciate the time you give here. I've so enjoyed how you are branching out showing a tour of part of your home and today's fragrance video. Thank you! I tried Victoria's Secret Bombshell today and almost right away I got a compliment from a total stranger. At first I thought perhaps it was too sweet for my taste, but after a few minutes it now it smells soooo good! I have to go back and get it!
dolce gabbana light blue is very cheap and standard. but on you it would be amazing. try it in the summer. overspray. then use it for casual acitivities. for example for shopping at a market or so.
Chanel chance is one of my favorites as well, especially in the summer.. lots of compliments.. I used to wear Amazing Grace from Philosophy and enjoyed it but now my favorite is Living Grace.. I layer with the lotion in the summer and whenever I wear it I get loads of compliments. I'm a nurse and it's light and my patients seem to love it as well. NR For Her is my go to night time fragrance, just love it. Baiser Vole (think this translates as Stolen Kiss) is a scent that took me by surprise. I sprayed it from a tester in store, wore it around town and couldn’t stop sniffing myself 😂, so had to go and buy it. It’s unusual but intriguing. I think my favourite day time fragrance is Dior Escale a Portofino......takes me to the Amalfi Coast, headscarf and Audrey Hepburn sunglasses, being driven in a sports car by a drop dead gorgeous Italian 🥰. I can but dream 😂😂

I just found your channel and I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but if you tend to have dryer skin the scent will dicipate much faster. There is no moisture to hold it there. You might try an unscented body lotion or an unscented oil on the pulse points where you apply your perfume first to help it last a little longer. I hope this helps.

I have always thought that perfume doesn't last on me because I have dry skin. I spray and feel nothing after 10 mins. But later I knew that everyone can smell me in few meters and almost all day. So ask someone if they can smell you after few hours. Maybe you have perfumes that match your skin chemistry very well and you can't feel them like you don't feel your own skin scent. When I want feel scent all day I usually put it on scarf or clothes.
Not only do we have the same skin type/issues(am 51), foundation shade, but we have the same nose!! about fell out when you mentioned needing perfume in candle form!! Perfumes don't hang on me either. love chanel tendre hair perfume. Helps keep the scent around. You and I are more alike than me and my identical twin!
I thought am the only one who don't like the original jimmy choo. I really love fresh smells and little bit of sweet and vanilla and spice. I hate over the top sweet , floral or fruity.

I like to buy the lotion, and body cream to layer on and then spray the perfume..it then will last a very long time. Most of my fave perfumes that carry a body cream in their line, I buy and can wear alone because the creams are so fragrant on their own. FlowerBomb and Lancôme La Vie, their body creams are super fragrant, they're fabulous and I often wear alone. I love your collection, it was a fun video!

I wore Victoria's Secret Heavenly for years in my 20's. Such a nice scent! I'm using Nirvana black during the colder months and Miss Dior blooming Bouquet in the warmer months. I need to try some new scents! I got the Hermes Gardenia through scent bird and love it!
I love Elizabeth and James Nirvana black.... actually I LOVE mixing it with the white. More gorgeous combination. M by Mariah Carey is amazing (the original), Amani Si, Calvin Kline Euphoria, Hot Couture by Givenchy, the original Stella McCartney. Those are all holy grail scent to me. Also, the original Miss Dior Cherie was incredible. But I head they have changed the scent sadly.
I'm cracking up because a sample vial of Nirvana Black has been living in the shell tray on my dresser so that I can mix it with the White! It IS a lovely combo!!! I've heard that about the Mariah Carey scent. Si is on my list to try too. I like your list!
Enjoyed this video! I love fragrance--I have way to many! I also recommend Amazing Grace and Living Grace--they are great daytime fragrances. I love Flowerbomb and Lancome's La Vie Est Belle but I think patchouli is high on the note list so you may not like those. My classic fragrance is Estee Lauder Beautiful--wore on my wedding day 20 years ago so it's more sentimental than anything else. My only Jo Malone fragrance is Vanilla & Anise. I'm a huge Vanilla fan! And CSP Vanille Abricot is one of my all time faves too! I'm 44 so I really appreciate your channel!
Flowerbomb is another I bought years ago because it smelled amazing on a friend. Yet it didn't smell amazing on me. :( I gave it to a friend. I did pick up a travel sized Amazing Grace at Ulta last week. It's really nice! Thank you! :)

I wonder if you worry at all about the chemicals and the estrogenic effects of synthetic perfumes? I've had hormone issues in peri menopause and my holistic GP recommended to move to natural perfumes to help my estrogen dominance issues. Also I hear you on Patchouli! It gives me a terrible headache.

Hey, Stephanie! I can relate to your channel so much as I'm also 41 with combination skin and a Texan, so thank you! We seem to have very similar taste in perfume so I thought I would mention a few of my favorites. Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet (very similar to Chanel eau Tendre) Tory Burch (her original fragrance). I have a very hard time finding a night fragrance that works for me. I too tried Chanel Chance and Jimmy Choo and ended up giving them to my mother. So, I got a sample of the new Tory Burch Love Relentlessly and it's beautiful. I think you might like these as well.
How do you keep that many perfumes from going bad? Everything I read says they only last 6-18 months. Chance is one of my favorites too. Love your channel! 😊

Stephanie Marie, Gucci Bamboo is similar to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, more metallic but I would consider a duplicate in a collection. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream is also similar. Out of the three I like Chanel the best.

You have a lovely collection. I haven't tried any of the Cartier ones...hasn't seen any testers in any stores that's prob why. I also love and own Chanel chance eau tendre and bombshell. I find it funny too how much I love vs bombshell 😂. It's the only one vs perfume worth getting the others have lasting power like a body mist. Chanel came out with a new perfume which I think you will really like. I can't remember what it's called but it's a light and fresh smell, check it out at Macy's 😊
+Stephanie Marie eau vive is good too. Unfortunately the dry down isn't good with my body chemistry. From the chance line I own eau fraisch and tendre. I'm talking about Chanel leau is what it's called. It's a green scent to my nose. I feel like you would like it because it's light, green, and sort of complex. Fresh not like light blue just airy if that makes sense. Test it out at Macy's it came out a few months ago.

Perfumes don't last on me either, I've found that EDT is a complete waste of money, definitely doesn't last,so I stick to EDP only, I've found they last longer. One tht I do like and people comment on is the Jimmy Choo! oddly I hate the smell of patchouli tho! I also love any Dior perfumes, the story behind how the brand started is really interesting........ x
+Alison Tull It depends on the fragrance for me. The Cartier and Narcisso are both EDT and they both last really well on me. I used to think that also but every now and then, the theory is blown on me!
The trick to make fragrances last long on your skin is to drink lots of water. Staying hydrated is also good for your metabolism. Don’t use scented lotions on the areas where you spray fragrance on.
I wish that worked for me! I've always consumed tons of water but have always had this issue. I do better when I put vaseline or aquaphor on my pulse points. Thanks Cassidy!

Hey doll!! Great video :)..I got Pinrose Gilded Fox.it's pretty good. I always Recommend ScentBird~~Are you spraying your SKIN? My skin EATS perfume alive. Spray your chest area from about 8 inches away so that it gets on your skin, hair, & it will not hurt your clothes from that far away. If you are still having trouble, spray the back of your neck at your hairline. Skin is NOT the best place for perfume. I have that bloodhound nose too & have many videos on this. You popped up, so i thought I'd watch..I always say **I'm not french** too..LOL...Have a great week & hope this helps :) xoxo
PS..Clean Skin is HG for me, I do NOT like BB Beach. It is my least favorite of the "Beachy Scents"..There's a note in it that is off to me...Try E&J Nirvan Rose,..OMG..My fave of the 4 :)
I do a bit on the wrists and dab them on my neck and then spray in the air and walk through it. I haven't tried spraying it directly at myself in front of me and at the back of my neck! Thanks Natalie!
VS Bombshell is a knockoff of Ferragamo Incanto Shine. The real one is much better quality, lasts longer, and has a really fine mist from the sprayer. The VS goes on like a synthetic body splash with a lot of alcohol in comparison.

Their bottles are all 8 ml's..120 sprays so it is worth it if you choose scents from Tom Ford, ect

I wear Tom Ford Orchid Soleil. I can spray it on of a morning and I still smell it in the evening. It smells amazing.

I love Elizabeth and James Nirvana black.... actually I LOVE mixing it with the white. More gorgeous combination. M by Mariah Carey is amazing (the original), Amani Si, Calvin Kline Euphoria, Hot Couture by Givenchy, the original Stella McCartney. Those are all holy grail scent to me. Also, the original Miss Dior Cherie was incredible. But I head they have changed the scent sadly.
I'm cracking up because a sample vial of Nirvana Black has been living in the shell tray on my dresser so that I can mix it with the White! It IS a lovely combo!!! I've heard that about the Mariah Carey scent. Si is on my list to try too. I like your list!

Enjoyed this video! I love fragrance--I have way to many! I also recommend Amazing Grace and Living Grace--they are great daytime fragrances. I love Flowerbomb and Lancome's La Vie Est Belle but I think patchouli is high on the note list so you may not like those. My classic fragrance is Estee Lauder Beautiful--wore on my wedding day 20 years ago so it's more sentimental than anything else. My only Jo Malone fragrance is Vanilla & Anise. I'm a huge Vanilla fan! And CSP Vanille Abricot is one of my all time faves too! I'm 44 so I really appreciate your channel!
Flowerbomb is another I bought years ago because it smelled amazing on a friend. Yet it didn't smell amazing on me. :( I gave it to a friend. I did pick up a travel sized Amazing Grace at Ulta last week. It's really nice! Thank you! :)

Great video Stephanie! Very helpful for me, because it seems we have similar taste in fragrance. I discovered the Cartier Baiser Vole fragrances a few years ago and love them! I haven't tried the raspberry one but am excited to try it.

I wonder if you worry at all about the chemicals and the estrogenic effects of synthetic perfumes? I've had hormone issues in peri menopause and my holistic GP recommended to move to natural perfumes to help my estrogen dominance issues. Also I hear you on Patchouli! It gives me a terrible headache.

I do not like patchouli either! Have you tried light blue by Dolce? Or Candy by Prada? I hope I can find samples of some of these perfumes because perfumes don't smell the same on me as some of my friends. Weird.

Hey, Stephanie! I can relate to your channel so much as I'm also 41 with combination skin and a Texan, so thank you! We seem to have very similar taste in perfume so I thought I would mention a few of my favorites. Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet (very similar to Chanel eau Tendre) Tory Burch (her original fragrance). I have a very hard time finding a night fragrance that works for me. I too tried Chanel Chance and Jimmy Choo and ended up giving them to my mother. So, I got a sample of the new Tory Burch Love Relentlessly and it's beautiful. I think you might like these as well.

Stephanie Marie, Gucci Bamboo is similar to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, more metallic but I would consider a duplicate in a collection. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream is also similar. Out of the three I like Chanel the best.

You have a lovely collection. I haven't tried any of the Cartier ones...hasn't seen any testers in any stores that's prob why. I also love and own Chanel chance eau tendre and bombshell. I find it funny too how much I love vs bombshell 😂. It's the only one vs perfume worth getting the others have lasting power like a body mist. Chanel came out with a new perfume which I think you will really like. I can't remember what it's called but it's a light and fresh smell, check it out at Macy's 😊

+Stephanie Marie eau vive is good too. Unfortunately the dry down isn't good with my body chemistry. From the chance line I own eau fraisch and tendre. I'm talking about Chanel leau is what it's called. It's a green scent to my nose. I feel like you would like it because it's light, green, and sort of complex. Fresh not like light blue just airy if that makes sense. Test it out at Macy's it came out a few months ago.

Perfumes don't last on me either, I've found that EDT is a complete waste of money, definitely doesn't last,so I stick to EDP only, I've found they last longer. One tht I do like and people comment on is the Jimmy Choo! oddly I hate the smell of patchouli tho! I also love any Dior perfumes, the story behind how the brand started is really interesting........ x
+Alison Tull It depends on the fragrance for me. The Cartier and Narcisso are both EDT and they both last really well on me. I used to think that also but every now and then, the theory is blown on me!
The trick to make fragrances last long on your skin is to drink lots of water. Staying hydrated is also good for your metabolism. Don’t use scented lotions on the areas where you spray fragrance on.
I wish that worked for me! I've always consumed tons of water but have always had this issue. I do better when I put vaseline or aquaphor on my pulse points. Thanks Cassidy!

Hey doll!! Great video :)..I got Pinrose Gilded Fox.it's pretty good. I always Recommend ScentBird~~Are you spraying your SKIN? My skin EATS perfume alive. Spray your chest area from about 8 inches away so that it gets on your skin, hair, & it will not hurt your clothes from that far away. If you are still having trouble, spray the back of your neck at your hairline. Skin is NOT the best place for perfume. I have that bloodhound nose too & have many videos on this. You popped up, so i thought I'd watch..I always say **I'm not french** too..LOL...Have a great week & hope this helps :) xoxo
PS..Clean Skin is HG for me, I do NOT like BB Beach. It is my least favorite of the "Beachy Scents"..There's a note in it that is off to me...Try E&J Nirvan Rose,..OMG..My fave of the 4 :)
I do a bit on the wrists and dab them on my neck and then spray in the air and walk through it. I haven't tried spraying it directly at myself in front of me and at the back of my neck! Thanks Natalie!

VS Bombshell is a knockoff of Ferragamo Incanto Shine. The real one is much better quality, lasts longer, and has a really fine mist from the sprayer. The VS goes on like a synthetic body splash with a lot of alcohol in comparison.
