Tried this and it just made it worse so i fixed mine by throwing my remote at the wall as hard as i could completely destroying it then went out and bought a new one

I finally got a hall effect controller I hope to god it doesnt drift. The method in the video actually helped one of my drifty controllers, although it's not perfect
@@kyledupont7711 Hall effect literally cannot drift.
Stickdrift is caused by the potentiometer in the joystick wearing down over time and giving stray resistance readings.
Hall effect joysticks usemagnatism not potentiometers so thry can't drift.
This video isn't fixing an issue at all.
@@pringle239 what about the springs? Whenever I have a drifting controller, the stick is always not returning to center it's usually a little forward and right

The mega adv of hall effect is that it is so precise with no wear that almost all of them have options to "reset" the default position of the stick
@@pringle239It worked for me. My right analog has been drifting upwards in every game so I just saw this and tried it and yeah its fixed for now.

Wow it sounded so easy I was in disbelief but actually fixed it for me my starfield character was constantly walking backwards and left which was rather annoying
Dude, I'm having the same problem. My Starfield character keeps moving forward-right on his own, but it only happens sometimes and at a very slow pace.
I'm assuming starfield doesn't have any deadzone allowance, which is why its happening to so many people.
My madden character wouldn’t stop trying to hit stick shit was really pissing me off glad they helped me cuz if not I was gone break the whole thing 🤣
HA! Me in fallout 4 right now🤣 Every 2 years I buy a new controller cuz this happens. I’ve dropped the controllers before, don’t know if that has anything to do with it 😟
@@FabioBittar Same here. I've never had stick drift until I played Starfield. Thought it may be a glitch in the game but as someone else said maybe it may have something to do with the deadzone settings

My controller has the age old issue of tilting the camera upwards. It progressively got worse over time as well, does that mean this would work or is my controller just broken now?
Maybe a can of compressed air would get the job done better than just blowing

It helped! Another thing that can help is playing a different type of game. The drift is somewhat caused by always holding the same direction. Play a game that requires more of the other direction. In theory taping the stick the opposite direction of the drift over night could help the spring even out as well I have not tried that
It actually worked for me too. I was dumb enough to think that the Series X I bought in July would still be under warranty, silly me. Less than 6 months after purchase and the controller is out of warranty, thank God I still had my One X and could use it's controller until I find a viable solution. I'm absolutely f*cking livid about having to eventually pay $60 more on top of the $570 I spent in July to replace a less than 6 month old controller...
I got so tired of this problem I just got a gamesir G7 hall effect sensor controller. So far so good, I swear older controllers didn't do this except n64 after lots of use

I have one more tips to fix a drifting analog
first go to chrome and search up controller vibration test
after that you want to look for the one that says "code pen chrome controller vibrate" and turn the intensity to max and leave it for a couple minutes
If you can figure out how to fix it with the Meta Quest 2 controller stick drift that would be tight. If its possible. Because it happens to all controllers after about 400 hours of use. And replacements cost a lot of money. Removing the top plate and stick and spraying it with contact cleaner or alcohol makes it go away only for a few hours.
