I know someone said it already but my god I love the separation of the hanzi and the pinyin is perfect.
I always find it near impossible to read characters when the latin alphabet is right there above it

You have the best youtube channel on chinese. I love the pure chinese videos because then we can analyze the sentences and learn new words, phrases, and structures from them.
Hi Shuo ! You got the best idea for this video : separating the 汉子 on top from the pinyin + translation on the bottom. I find them very distracting when I want to focus on reading characters, I really only need them in case of doubt. My preference would be the opposite maybe (汉子 on the bottom) but I guess for a beginner friendly video it makes more sense like this. Hope you keep doing this way !
I agree. keeping the characters separate allows me to focus on them, without my eyes drifting to the pinyin.
Not to mention that subtitling a video sucks, I've done this many times.

one invaluable feature in your lessons- sound, characters, English meaning, pinyin all on the SAME screen. I don't have to switch between archchinese window or pleco or mandarin spot if you know what I mean. Easy logistics- key to love learning, switching among multiple windows or paper and computer- no patience!!!!

I don't mind my phone line being busy (占线),
it prevents fraudulent callers from taking advantage of me (占我便宜).
