My result is...uhm...0/20. Which is not a surprise because I never learned Chinese, but I always wanted to. But this video is perfect, because in my personal language learning style I cannot start with the very basics only - I always need to combine it with some easy, but real-life and useful example that gives me the "vibe" of the language. And your video is perfect for that purpose! Thank you!

I've often heard "慢走" be used when parting with others in a way that I've assumed to mean "Take care"...But I guess only when leaving a place or physically parting from someone, not over the phone or video chat, same as "注意安全" I guess,

    10/20! Just made the mark!
After watching like 8-12 cdramas (started that adventure few months back), I've gotten thus far! People who are learning Chinese, purely listening to people speak can bring you very far! And whenever you learn something, always write it down to remember!

3/20. I guess just watching C-Drama is not enough to actually learn Chinese. But they are so addictive. I can't help it. In our country there is just crap on TV.
So, watching and enjoying C-Drama and learning a little bit of Chinese Mandarin along the way is the perfect solution to actually do something meaningful in the freetime while enjoying it.
Which C-Drama do you enjoy watching?
Do you have a favourite C-Drama?
Mine is "Love between Fairy and devil".
    You haven't seen it?

I got maybe 6 out of 20, but in my case, it was more from having learned a little different translation, like for "I see," I've learned “原来如此.” (yuan lai ru ci) And for "go ahead," I would just say "请“ (qing) or maybe "qing ba." I knew almost all the phrases already, but there were a few new ones for me. I've not been diligent about studying Chinese for awhile, but lately I've been thinking about starting to study it more. your videos are super helpful for learning these everyday phrases.

Go ahead. 你说吧。7。 Get out. 走开。 8。Screw you. 去你的。 11。 Sounds good. 好啊. 12. I see 我明白了。 13. We’ll see 等着瞧。 15. Take care. 保重 16. No way! 不可能! 17. After you. 你请。19. That’s it. 就是这样。20. Gotta go. 我得走了。我很喜欢你的视频。我希望有一天我能跟你学中文。

Can we also say 从头开始 meaning "start over"? As for “go ahead ” can we use 来吧/你来/来? As an alternative of expressing surprise/shock with "no way," I've answered: 我去. I've scored 11 but know 3-4 more expressions. Maybe they're more of passive knowledge or just weren't bound to those specific English expressions as it's not my native language 🤔

I know more phrases, but my translation skills are not on par with my speaking oftentimes. I overthink them with something else. Ex. “That’s it” , I said “完了,结束了” not really the best translation.
As for “bless you,” biggest reason is the phrase is *Christian* and highly used in the west in some form. Eastern Asia doesn’t have a proper equivalent.
Ancient China used to be monotheistic (Xia Dynasty to the Shang or Zhou Dynasty, the concept of 上帝) until the rise of Confucianism, Buddhism, and other religions/philosophies, becoming pluralistic. By the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, it has opted to be atheistic. And since Christianity is a western influence, the phrase “bless you” is a foreign concept. Henceforth, there’s no equivalent phrase, even among Chinese Christians all over the world (including in mainland China).
