love Grasmere. i went there one year every month to see the changes. stunning. Ive walked all the surrounding hills over time. I do miss Cumbria. and it might be a while till i return if ever. I live in western Australia now and love it. Thanks for sharing your adventures. on a warming note. i used to make a cup of tea on the top of a fell and one day on top of Allcock tarn a lady of mature years said to me in a posh voice, " how civilized".
I absolutely love the theme of this video. It's so true about taking to strangers though, my missus goes absolutely nuts at me for talking to random people about life in general.... I absolutely love listening to people's stories though, you learn new things and potentially new routes and so on. Keep up the great work bud 🤙🏼
Another grand video Mr C 👍 - Grasmere is a lovely place and the gingerbread really is good isn’t it??? Looking forward to your “Walking with…” series - that preview looked dramatic!!! 😱
Nice one Colin I will visit grassmere in the summer and do a car camp the place looks lovely, I watch your vids to go to the places you recommend thanks matey
Lovely to see Grasmere again - I haven’t been there for such a long time. Shame about the “Colin answers your questions” - it’s always interesting. Have a lovely weekend. 😊
My you’ve changed sir from the earlier photos. Looked a fantastic walk, I think we’ve been to Grassmere, can’t be sure. Was it really the best gingerbread? Look forward to the walking with next week. What about Walking with Ken Hom one week?
Used to be the best but original family retired and although they supposedly were given the recipe it hasn’t been a fraction as good since. Used to buy it every time I was there, a lot of it, no don’t bother anymore. Last batch I think I threw a good chunk away.
Brilliant video, editing and audio is top notch, amazing views of the scenery and I love the addition of the photo you took and little snippets of history. I have just started my own TH-cam channel and really enjoying the fact it is getting me outdoors much more than usual, I have a new hiking video going live on Sunday and I hope you will check it out. Thanks for inspiring me to improve on my editing and filming, I have just subscribed and looking forward to more videos. Also, 12:55 nearly made me spit out my brew! All the best mate :)
2024 was a mediocre summer for pretty much the entire UK so in all fairness, you probably just landed in the Hebrides at the wrong time. What really spoilt matters was your whole demeanour to the trip. It did, I’m sorry to say, make for some pretty miserable viewing with your blogs descending into a depressing rant of how little you were enjoying things. I get the weather was a bit pants but viewers would like a bit more upbeat content. You’re still whinging on about it months after you’ve got back. Please change the record and lighten up a bit eh?
Cool video..Grasmere is a little bit of heaven..Love that place ..❤
We can't wait to get back here to explore. Thank you for another amazing video!

Another great video, and on my doorstep, we’re only in Penrith 😊 quick question, what power bank do you use when off grid, so to speak.

@Yorkshirepoptopadventures Nice, I'll have a look, thank you.
There are lots of options with pub stopovers. Some paid, some you have to spend some money with them.
