This is a subject that i feel is overlooked when young hairdressers are training body positions and how to hold your scissors to maximise your career’s length without costing you a small fortune in physio treatment. really good tips as always! about 10 yrs ago, i started having major shoulder issues (impingement, torn rotator cuff) which i am sure originated from how i position my body/hand while cutting.

@@TheLifeOfHair yes, thankfully, i had a great physical therapist who helped me overcome it after months of appointments without surgery through the postural realignment technique.
Ah that is fantastic news, but not cheep I am am sure. 🙁 but a good physio is worth its weight in gold. 👍🏻

Do you have any videos/tips on body positioning while foiling hair? I try to keep my elbows down and close to my body but certain clients kill my back especially with the mohawk section. Your insight is always appreciated!
