Can't speak for anyone else but I haven't had any issues with EA launcher linking with the Xbox App on PC and I've been using Game Pass PC since it's launch. Same can be said for the mention you made about certain games being locked to 120fps on the game pass version. I have not experienced that either. What I will say that is a very well-known thing is that the game pass versions, especially for more indie games or less popular are usually a few updates behind their steam/epic counterparts. Quite a few games, particularly ones that aren't focused about online gameplay are either just not updated from when they're released on game pass or take a long while before they receive the same updates.
I consistently have games to play specifically because of Game Pass. For me it's still worth it. I play enough games currently at £12.99 a month increasing only to £14.99 for Ultimate? Doesn't change anything for me. I'm making the most of my subscription simply by playing the games.
As someone who only cares about access to online multiplayer and can make do with just the core subscription, this price hike for GP is very concerning.
I am done with all this crap. Subscription fatigue is real. Gonna try to convince my 12 year old to ditch his Xbox and let me build him a PC and we will just buy the games we want on Steam.
As soon as I saw that price increase I just canceled immediately because of the tax on it too it would go up to like 23-24 dollars a month for me and I can't really pay that so much for "accessibility"
As someone who buys his games physically, this doesn't affect me whatsoever. However, $20 a month is pretty rough. I mean, there's still a lot of value, but that's still pretty high compared to the previous $16 a month. Although if you think it's gonna stop at $20, you'd be mistaken, as unless there's a crazy paradigm shift at Microsoft, the price is only gonna go up. Will you still subscribe to GP if it goes up to $25 a month? $30? $40?? Start buying your games physically, yall. They're dirt cheap nowadays for xbox, and usually come with free dlc! Even if you spend only $20 a month, that's usually between 1-4 physical games, most of which will take over a month to finish. Hell, I've seen Battlefield 1 being sold for under $1.
Im currently on a free 3 month Gamepass subscription from a recent laptop purchase but I will be cancelling the service. I will do a yearly single subscription charge like I have for iRacing but I dont like companies going into my bank account monthly. Im gonna keep buying my games on Steam. It doesnt make sense for me to rent them.
A little friendly warning to other gamers, do not ever buy digital copies of games because there will come a day when good ole microsoft will flag your xbox account for suspicious activity and there is ABSOLUTELY no feesible way to recover said account if your unlucky enough to get flagged. You can't get an actual live person to talk to prove your actually you and you just get repeatedly denied in automated hell. I searched the internet for solid week for a way to recover my account to no avail. This has happened to me twice. Once returning from a deployment from Iraq and here recently when I moved to another state. Both times I lost gamertags of over 5 years and all virtual property I bought while owning said accounts leaving me with no other option than to create a new xbox live account and taking it majorly up the tookus from microsoft with no lube! You've been warned.
They should've added some classic Call of Duty games along with more Activision titles (Spyro and Crash series) to lessen the blow of the price increase. I think people wouldn't have been as upset.
I would rather just buy games on occasion rather than pay a growing monthly fee for gamepass. Especially on pc, I could justify it before because it was cheap but their garbage client is an insult for how expensive it is now. I remember pre downloading sniper elite 5 ended up borking easy anticheat on my entire pc because it bugged decrypting the files when the game was officially launched. No other games that used it could be launched and I had to delete the easy anticheat files in the registry and reinstall it to make it work again.
Hey gamer heaven, curious your take on gaming chairs, speakers, headsets or gaming earbuds (like Razers) and monitors. Have you ever considered broadening your scope of gaming products reviews? I like your content, just a thought and thanks
Hello. btw first. Also I got a victrix gambit a while ago and when I opened it there was no 4 paddle option and it had out of the box stick drift but I couldn’t return it because of a “missing piece”.
Does gta 5 play with core game pass? Because thats all I need game pass for, I know you have to own the game now, I bought it for 9.99 and I know I can play with ultimate
The reason core is still even an option imo is that you can pay 75 bucks a year if you get the physical cards, which is much cheaper long-term than any other tier. If it wasn't for that it would be pointless
I recently added a 3rd xbox series x to the house due to some big titles not being on pc and the fact you can't share gamepass is a joke as its only limited to 2 consoles in a house (you'd think they'd reward you for having 3 consoles but no ooooo) anyway I had to create a new xbox GT and bought 24 months of core then converted it to ultimate for £1. It's better than nothing but they really need to revamp this and make it family friendly so much potential down the can due to lack of foresight and greed
i ended up using 6months core codes from india and a vpn to get a conversion rate. This is also the only way i can get more than one month of ultimate for a price i dont feel bad about.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial the readers digest version is I ended up spending about $12 per six months India which to the conversion rate I had to buy about eight of them so it totaled about $96 for the conversion equivalent of three years of game pass ultimate for around $100
It's come to light that it is incredibly hard to lay off staff in Japan. So, that explains that. Also, I might be harming the industry in my situation - at my current income level I can just susbcribe to services and let it be. But I think I need to do better.
Its to be expected tbh. Any company that is peaked, or near peak. Is going to have to squeeze their customers to satisfy shareholders. Thats why the AAA gaming industry, is in shambles and half baked games is par for the course in 2024. :(
interestingly enough that i will get my pc in few days, i was just a console player for long time i was planning to try pc game pass but I really was in shock that pc game pass was a mess and not recommended if you want a full PC game experience i was gonna try it for 1 month as test to compare it with steam since i never played xbox games or even steam but now after the news of rising the prices, i guess will just stick to steam thank you very much xD
@@allythebear Just bought a legion go for the kiddo and it actually worked. Im not saying that was the most cost effective way of getting a few free months but it did work hahaha
The biggest let down is that you can only stack 13 months of gamepass once this price increase happens. I was stacking 3 at a time.
Oh damn , yeah that’s not cool

Can't wait for that Vader 4 pro review!
Me too. It’s been taking a long time to get to me

I actually feel your pain.
Fun fact. You can play Xbox play anywhere titles with a PC game pass subscription on your console.

I remember when we used to get 1 yr gamepass for $1
Why isn't anyone talking about the microsoft rewards? And what would you say is the best pro controller for Xbox? Would it be the elite series 2?
The games I've played on the xbox app like Forza and valheim weren't capped at 120fps
That’s awesome, especially for a racing game/sim. Very important.

Game pass is ended up being a double edged sword for Microsoft
Well worded
Can You Review GameSir G8+
Have you tried the Vader 4 Pro? Is it better than the Apex 4?

Lay offs suck, that’s people’s lively hood.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial Yeah I agree, been through many during my life. It would be nice if the US looked at labor laws the same as Japan.
Gaming after the PS3/360 era has been a scam, anti-consumer, multi million dollar shovelware. Reject modernity, embrace tradition.

Steam
Once that $20 hits imma get the core, I don’t really play game pass titles anyways (maybe I’ll stay for Bo6 zombies)
Core is trash, at this point just buy a pc
COD tax right there..and I don't play COD
If they had a 6 month or 1 year ultimate at like $150 I’d think about it but at $20 a month thats $240 a year I just cancelled😂
I’ll just keep on buying computer parts that give me free months of game pass. C’monnnnnn.
True, or a lot of Xbox accessories like controllers come with Game Pass trial cards
Most only work for "new" subscriptions

Microsoft is just charging for COD.

My sister catching strays
Lol, that wasn’t directed at your sister, rather the sister of the train conductor who lays on the horn like a bean bag chair
NOT WOrTH it. It will keep going up unless we all unsub
Yea you’re probably right
I unsubbed before the last price jump, it want worth it then tbh
