Rhythm Nation is a song about social injustice and coming together for a better way of living. Which is crazy because this song is still very relevant 30 years later. Which is why I assume the subscriber suggested it. I know you guys can get caught up in watching the visuals but definitely try to listen to the lyrics as well because this song is something I learned a lot from growing up. Also Michael told this sweet story about how his choreography was going in this direction and she asked him if it was okay to use his Military style ideas for this video and he told her it was okay. He ended up using those military ideas towards the latter part of the 90’s. But these two were very close growing up. Lastly: Although all the siblings were in show business, None of the sisters were a part of the Jackson 5 group. He showed some it to Janet it fit with her concept for Rhythm Nation so she asked him if she could use his choreography. He was a bit reluctant, but agreed, and the rest is history.

Loved the review. This to me was her "Ray of Light" or "Bodyguard SOundtrack" album. You really do not hear the songs played that much anymore. But her albums tracks were everywhere! Movies, TV shows, and commercials. I've been giving my younger nieces and nephews tracks and they liked it. The most important thing when Beyonce first,came out Alaayiah had just died and Janets "All For You"had just arrvied at cd stores in 2000. Years ago when Micheal Jackson was alive he showed a video of himself dancing and creating military like dance moves but he wasn’t sure where it could fit in, so it was just something he messed around with until he could find a fit to it. He showed some it to Janet it fit with her concept for Rhythm Nation so she asked him if she could use his choreography. He was a bit reluctant, but agreed, and the rest is history.
Please, Please, PLEASE do more Janet Jackson. She is legendary in her own right and carved her own lane separate from her family’s lane. Though her contributions to music are still part of the Jackson family legacy she really is her own entity. The more of Janet’s music you react to, the less of Michael you’ll see. You’ll probably forget all about Michael the more you listen to her music and watch her videos and live performances. They were pretty different.

Janet was, still is the queen of pop. But don’t forget it was the trio , her and the duo of Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis from the Minnesota Prince camp. From a group called Morris Day and the Time. That was the explosive ingredients. Btw, check out their stuff when you get the chance. They were the best rhythmically funk group ever to me. Every single musician in that group was the bomb. One on the best things Prince ever did putting them together.

She actually made her debut on the family variety show they had after they got popular and then she appear with them once I believe on the Sonny & Cher show in the 70’s. Loved the review. This to me was her "Ray of Light" or "Bodyguard SOundtrack" album. You really do not hear the songs played that much anymore. But her albums tracks were everywhere! Movies, TV shows, and commercials. I've been giving my younger nieces and nephews tracks and they liked it. The most important thing when Beyonce first,came out Alaayiah had just died and Janets "All For You"had just arrvied at cd stores in 2000. Janet's entire look from that album is the look that -Beyonce, Ciara, and Rihanna styled themselves after her (I noticed it a few years ago)..She did have that much of an impact at around 2000.

Janet being one, Rebbie was the oldest sister, then La Toya. There was a conspiracy theory for a long time that Michael was really LaToya in women’s clothes because they did look and sound alike.
