The wires are at the edge so it won't interfere with the airbags

Great video, sir! Well explained and easy to understand. I greatly appreciate you explaining that the tail light wire doesnt need to be installed if your vehicle already has a back up camera. Sonething small, but the included instructions don't specify and I was dreading that part.

Still confused how to install the rear camera in my car because the car as only 2 cigarette light power, in front and one between the front seats.

So far the cam is good. I had high expectations about the App. I thought you would have full access to it at all times. If someone breaks into your car then you will loose the footage. its just and easier way to download videos without taking the sim card off. I don’t know if it is my internet but sometimes the videos won’t download using the app.

Great video. I've hardwired mine in and when I turn the ignition off and lock the car, the side led is flashing blue. Is this normal?
It's normal if wired correctly. It should turn off when your battery charger get to a low level that's enough to start the vehicle.
Just some advice. Will running works through the side pannel (near the window) interfere with the curtain airbag?

What about the sun's heat and the high temperature of the windshield of the car when recording continuously while the car is closed and parked? Are there problems due to the strong heat?

Using this dashcam since an year. Was using it with accessory power (cigarette port), but recently hardwired it. The internal battery is no good. It turns off as soon as I switch on the car and there is drop in power (
I don't understand your description of what is happening. The camera should switch of when the car battery gets too low. This will leave enough power to start the car . Questions
1. Did you test the parking monitor feature? Turn on parking monitor, turn off vehicle, Shake the camera to trigger parking monitor. If the power indicator flash red for 20 seconds your internal battery is good.
2. Is the hardwire fit from kingslim? What's the output voltage and amperage?
3. Have you checked the fuses on the Hardwire Kit?

Unfortunately they don’t sell parts for these cameras. You might have to create a hack. You might be able to drill small holes and glue in a small paper clip.

It won't. The wires are along the rubber strip
Does anyone know where to buy the rear camera cable? I found the front cam power supply cable but not the rear. I order one on amazon but the aux male plug end was too small. I just want to have the cables installed in two different cars and swap only the cameras when I need to.

Turn on car to power up camera. Select stop icon to stop recording. Select settings. Scroll all the way down until you see format SD and select it. From there you cane format your memory card
Hello.. so I don't need to wire the rear camera if I'm only using it to record? I do have have Highlander also with factory back up camera
Connecting the rear camera trigger wire till trip the camera to reverse mode and give you reversing guide lines. I don't believe this is necessary with your Highlander because it already has a backup camera that has more accurate reverse guide lines. It's your call though
@@trackpalmer no I don't want the back up camera on this one. Just want to make sure I don't need to wire this for this to work?

The current setting is set to turn off after 3 minutes. It can also be set to 5 minutes. Turning off that feature will keep the screen on

How can I view all the footage that I recorded ? And when it does record it only goes up to 5 minutes and restarts does yours do the same ?
You can view footage in 3 ways. View it on the camera by selecting the media option at the bottom right. You can remove the memory card or remove the camera itself and connect to a computer. Your camera is set to record in 5 minute intervals which is the longest. It can also be set to 3 or 1 minute intervals. It's set up that way so you can easily find a footage at a specific moment in time

That's information as well as the speed limit is actually at the foot of each video. You won't be able to see it on the screen or on your phone. Only when we playing the videos you can see that information

Yes. As long as the battery still has power in the camera

Why do you need the red wire?
To connect to one of the positive reverse light wire to turn on the camera display, switch it to the rear camera view is it's dry to display front camera view and it will also display reverse guide lines
For the parking mode sensitivity setting, do you need to hardwire the camera?
You do not. The camera had a built-in battery which powers the camera whenever it shakes. I'm not sure how long it will take for the battery to completely die is the car is parked for a long period. Hope I get the chance to do that test and make an updated review
My internal battery is dead. Does not charge. Any idea how to open the camera to replace internal battery?

Any body has a car problem after installed this camera? ....... Because I do: Car shuts off while I driving. This happened 3 times already. I went to dealer car service and they could't find anything with the car.
So after I disconnect the camera from the cigarette socked I had no more problems with the car. ...... "Now I am assuming that this camera is causing this". 🛑
* So today I plugged to the cigarette socket to see if this going to happen again. Aug 30
I shouldn't have anything to do with the camera. If the power supply was an issue it would more blow a fuse than shut your car off
Maybe this could be caused by the selected power source.Try to use a different source and see if it makes a difference.
DONT BUY - internal battery dies within months. Purchased April of 2021 internal battery has died and will not hold date/time, also goes back to factory settings every time it goes on, also I have no idea to replace them.
I really don't like your suggestion regarding not to buy. If everyone should have this approach to every product a lot of great products won't be purchased. I have mine 2 years now with no issues. You got a defective product.
I had same issue. I made a video and sent to support team of Kingslim and they confirmed the internal battery is dead. They refunded me 70% of cost. I wish I could open and change the internal battery.
