@@TheDeceptikron 06-08 is considered first gen. In 09-12, second gen, they made small changes to the wiring harness, allowing for a plug-n-play qs that came as a factory option on the R in 11-12; they also made small changes to the nose fairing and dash cluster. Third gen is then 13-17 with the ugly new design, new bore/stroke, and side exit exhaust.
@@BlueDevilMoto also from factory came with a CF and titanium wide port exhaust. oem triumph engine case covers and has some different CF parts to yours. Great to hear someone express such obvious joy in owning their dream bike, when you said you can't believe you own this bike, I've had my 675R nine years and still feel that way, and the ( slightly childish) pleasure of the pops/bangs on the overrun doesn't get old, I still love it. Adore my gen 3 R but must admit the Caspian blue gen 2 with gold wheels and an Akra probably just beats it for looks, and noise. I know I'm late to the party but binge watching Triumph videos to get me through the winter.😮💨
Absolutely! Check out some more recent vids, she’s nowhere near the same. She may be getting retired to the track soon though 👀 would love to put a 765 heart in her when this one goes kaboom 😂
I love your bike, I just picked up a red 2009 with only 3200 miles on her. In case you didn't know, the engine whine noise is actually the counter shaft gears. Those are spur gears, or straight cut gears that make it whine. Like on a muscle car with a blower or a gear drive timing set. Yes, it sounds amazing! Anyways, ride safe :)
Beautiful bike. Enjoy it. I have a 2006 Daytona 675 in Scorched Yellow. 2023 and still loving it. I still think the Daytona 675 is The Sexiest looking bike on the street.
Man I can tell you are loving this bike 😁 This vlog was sick. I wanna get myself a Daytona 675 next year some time, right now just working hard and saving. But this is the bike I want! Would be happy with an 09 for sure!
Best color combo. I’ve wanted one since they were new in 2006 but never pulled the trigger bc I thought they were uncomfortable. Had a Street Triple R though. Need another Triumph triple.
I’m considering buying a 2011 Daytona 675 in caspian blue as well, it has 15k miles on it, is that considered low miles? Anything I should check for? I hope I’ll be able to be as happy as you with the bike (if I decide to get it ofc).
I’m looking to buy this exact bike, same color way same year. Theres more new ones for sale where I am and really not much more on the price but the 1st and 2nd gen just look so much better.
@@BlueDevilMoto Oh ok! I knew that the Daytonas from 2009 to 2012 are also called 675 ABS. So it's like a different model too? Thanks for the quick answer by the way. 🔥
@@alessandrocesa98 it may be a factory option for the 675R’s but not many of them have it. You really only notice it if you’re pushing the absolute limits of the bike or you’re not an experienced rider.
Update: I'm aware this is a gen 2 Daytona, mispoke in the video.
I actually think they are considered to be 1st gen with revisions up until 2013 when the model came out with the side port exhaust

I agree that blue with the gold wheels is awesome.
Got a 2007 in grey and best thing I’ve purchased I absolutely love it!
Hey, great buy man. I had a 2008 in red. Loved the bike. Have fun and ride safe!

Whine is a mix between the straight cut teeth and the intake whistle. Definitely a unique sound! Enjoy your ‘09!

Yes, check some more recent vids 👌🏼
Any ideas where I can get OEM bar ends for a 2012 model?
Go with Woodcraft, much better.

Hey I seen one with 35k on it for 7k is that too much???
Definitely 😂
Does the 2011 have ABS system?
Mine doesn’t, but I believe it comes standard on the 2013+ models. I’d rather not have it.
