As for the Cybertruck comparison, I don't see it; this is actually very attractive, whereas the Cybertruck is probably the most hideous thing I've ever seen with four wheels on it...
I always wondered why the A7 didn't get an Allroad version. Looking at this, I'd say that's an insanely cool car to have.
These are concept cars, and you know how the traditional auto industry is with them. They release these designs, and the reality is entirely different when it comes to production. They will most likely develop different cars based on this concept, one of them being a city crossover and an offroad.
it was never the purpose of an A7, similar to a 7 series and S class.

Probably will get in production before the Cybertruck. Tesla still has to get the roadster 2 into production. I get the feeling Elon no longer cares about Tesla, more interested in tweets and space.
@@zakelwe well at the end of the day teslas mission was to accelerate adoption of electric cars which id say they achieieved so thats amazing and we will see what future brings ...

If they made these in production I would hope they have door handles, button to open the back bed, some actual screens on the inside, actual side mirrors and maybe make the interior more comfortable or luxury ish. This would make things way better in my opinion.
Exactly my thoughts. If they could give it the front panels (control panel, entertainment system, steering wheel, physical controls, etc etc), this car would be so perfect. It’s beautiful, sporty, outdoors look with elegance.

This is perhaps the best looking concept of a car (that could actually be built and bought) I've seen since the original ID Buzz concept.
This cannot be built or bought... are you for real with this? This is just another year of unrealistic concepts from the German automakers. Get them every year. Looks like every other concept. Do you folks even take yourself seriously with this stuff?
@@Kenbark42 - Dial it back, buddy. This is way less outrageous than most concepts and could very well be built. I'm not saying it will, of course, but we'll see how close a final product will be in the coming year or two.

This is EXACTLY the same as any and all concept cars coming out of Audi for the last decade and a half. You all are too funny. Lets both watch this never happen together.
@@Kenbark42 - I see... so, you're the self-proclaimed expert on all things cars. Got it. I'll just take your word for it that your turbo-charged crystal ball is fully operational. Here's a thought, though - and this from someone who can be quite abrasive both online and in-person - when there's no proof one way or the other, let others have their opinions and chime in politely with your own. That way the discussion can be civil and everyone walks away happy. Or you can continue to be an irritating so and so and ruin what should be a light and fun discussion in the automotive space.
That said, you may prove correct and we'll get another automotive version of pablum. Or we may get something like the i8 which, though woefully underpowered, was a fantastic and futuristic looking car. Time will tell.
Id Buzz is kinda ugly IRL , this audi is a mix with porsche
Now we are talking. I cannot wait for these types of multi-purpose vehicles to become the norm. I would love an off-road truck that converts to a daily city car. It looks phenomenal. Could do without the gimmicky motion controls and I am not sold on self-driving technology for the next 15 years at least, but augmented reality HUD is actually quite clever and useful.

This pickup style tail gates must become standard from now on, very clever,convenient and practical, on next Gen A6 RS6 wagon will be also fantastic to have that feature, we love coupes and sedans but because the roads are bad in a lot of countries we are forced to buy SUVs for road clearance and Audi this time nailed it providing all in one solution 👏 well done Audi and please bring it in production

Not having a steering wheel in case anything went wrong would feel very unsettling. Vehicle looks cool. Some very futuristic ideas I haven't seen before.

I wish they had made the backseat completely separate from the trunk so when you wanted to transport say mountain bikes or ski gear, you didnt have to compromise the cabin with being exposed to the outdoors. In some cases, it will probably be nice to have the air flow, but say winter time or rainy days, I feel like that exposed trunk needs to have a hard separation from the seating.
