This video was a good skill check for some of us watchers too. You skipped just enough steps to make us fill in the gaps with our skill sets, and it worked wonderfully. I realized there is a bit about procedural materials that I am still unsure about, but I imagine I will get it with time! In my rebuild, I animated the triangle on its path, rather than constraining so it plays with the camera shake, and gave the camera shake a bit of a bounce over certain values like it was being knocked with some of the debris. Thank you for another great video, Ducky!

I love your videos- you make it all look so damn easy. I always stumble on the basics of Blender!! These procedural looping animations would be great accompaniments for my music if I can get my skills up for them..

The concept is 80s pop art/terminator. The execution is lit triangle with extruded cubes with camouflage-like texture. Really cool stuff. Bookmarked. Liked.

How do you even remember all these? I have been trying to do! Whenever I try i stuck in some where unable to find what happens from which options!? How you know all these?

I'm coming up on six months myself, cant wait until I can look back like this and reflect on the growth. I hope you don't get tired of hearing it, we the people appreciate you. This particular video give some good transparency for us who are just getting started in Blender. Do you think the other Blender creators on YT will be made if i had a favorite? 😅😅...Keep 'em coming

i struggled a bit with getting the right subdivision surface. I added loop cut myself to get this right

Thanks for the help, my animation never comes out like yours but hopefully with enough practice I'll be on your level or at least close to it. Keep up the great work.👍

I wish I could understand Geometry Nodes like you do. I know my way around Blender and consider myself advanced by now, but when it comes to Nodes, my brain just turns off and goes back to stoneage, no matter how often I try tutorials and practical use. I admire your skill :D

You’ll get there, It just takes time. Just keep going back to it, even if you think you aren’t learning anything. You’ll start to pick up on little things that’ll stick in your memory and you’ll slowly start to get more familiar. Remember it takes time, and most of the time longer than you think or would like .. best of luck :)

Another great tutorial. I remember some of my first 3D stuff I did years ago in Bryce 3D, when it was given away free on the cover of 3D world magazine. It’s always good to remind yourself how far you have come in your career 👍

Bryce! They still make that I think. In the 90s i cut my teeth on SoftImage. Great program. Very intuitive. Wish it was still around.

Geometry nodes is scary powerful... anything that can be made with modeling can be made procedurally... and morph between them.
After working on my 100% procedural humanoid for nearly 3000 hours, I decided to redo the entire project from scratch... took about a week. 😅
    The results are insane!
This is a humanoid model made entirely in geometry nodes with procedural textures:

Not sure what I'm doing wrong... when you apply the shader nodes to the cubes, each cube looks different (they have a unique pattern). When I try it, each cube has an identical pattern.

Is there any videos anyone would recommend for me to learn the basics to create my own visuals. I am debating getting After Effects, but I love working with blender.

Can you make a video on the reworked fluid in the Molotov from Counterstrike 2? I heard it´s just a shader and no actual fluid symulation.

These are always so awesome! One thing that tripped me up, when you use a "separate geometry" to make the rods, you have to set the separate geometry node to "faces" to get everything to align correctly.
