Thank you, only £180, wow!! I don't mind the learning experience, but sometimes I wish I had a garage. I think the hardest part was putting the ball joints back in and realigning the gearbox!!
@@yahyasheikh3235 check the forums in the links to see what the general census is mate. I can't remember now but I know my mums used to do this and I asked them to get it checked out and they got it looked at by their local garage and apparently it was normal. But I had my doubts.
Sorry this video is so old now I can't remember. Either it's in the video somewhere, I think towards the end. I can't remember if you have to prime it. Or check the the french forums listed above. Fantastic group!!
Good work mate and thanks for the video. I'm doing the same job and following in your footsteps :) One question: after replacing the clutch, did you have to calibrate the gearbox with a diagnostic tool? Thanks in advance
Yes, but it is really easy to do. I can remember off the top of my head but subscribe to the forum in the links. It's not to difficult a job, have a welder on standby for the captive nuts.
@@jmc216 no it wasn't pitted or anything and was clean. This was a petrol model and I can't remember if both versions are dual mass or not. What went in yours? The captive nuts that hold on the subframe, I believe they are the ones that go into the 'chassis rails?¿' they are not very captive. It was mentioned by one of the mods, I thought maybe he was just unlucky, but I had them go on me too. Quite easy to get a welder on, and it's a great warning to be prepared on this. The hardest thing was getting the control arm Ball joint in!!
@@ifell3 Mine was gone on Friday, I was struggle to find spares during weekend, also I was working. I started today... the weather is rubbish !!! I just removed the whole thing and tomorrow I have to go and get the spares... in bicycle ...lol Yes, mine is diesel and have dual mass fly-wheel (Jesus so expensive). When I removed the subframe. 2 washers come off from the steering. One of the front (RH) captive nuts were spinning all the time, but I've sort it out using pliers. And yes, my fly-wheel dual mass is gone..... Thanks for all your advices. Great videos, I've watched both parts.... well done.
