Thank you so much, for this demo. I've really been interested, in this machine. It is so loud. My almost deaf dog raised her head up, listening, and wasn't liking it, lol. Maybe their next model will be quieter. My Juki 2010Q is also a great machine. The throat is not as big, but it's manageable, and quiet!
Curious if you made any adjustments for strip piecing. I find it hit and miss if i have to lift the foot a bit to get enough fabric under the foot to pull the next piece through instead of just feeding 1 after the other
My tension is giving me the blues. Would love to use this machine but tension has been horrible. Any suggestions? I have read the manual and looked at all the tutorials.
Hi Sarah, thank you so much for the demo. I have been wondering about it! It sounds terribly loud on the video, but that could be how you are set up for recording. What I hear in the video is too much noise for me! I love the idea of it and hope the next version will be for me. My HQ still works great though and will probably hold me until the end of my life, so a new machine will need to be spectacular!
Glad it was helpful! Yes it is noisy, more so in free motion quilting mode than regular sewing. I will oil it also and see if that improves things as things loosen up I'm hoping it gets better. Just have to wear headphones and listen to music!
I am glad you put this out there. I just bought my machine and I find it very noisy. I am having issues with it staying threaded so I have to figure that out. Thank you for sharing.
@@SewingbySarahTutorialsI changed the thread too. I think it is a tension issue . The thread is shredding before it ever gets to the needle. Thank you for your reply. I look forward to more of your videos.
Does the machine have a full metal rotary hook? What is the throat space? What size bobbins does it take? Does the needle thread side to side or front to back?
Hi! I am wondering what you used to put the wash away design on you quilt sandwich? Is it a sewing pen, some sort of traceable pattern, or just you tracing?
These are pre-printed panels you can purchase with the markings on them. We sell a few, but there are companies that sell others as well. sewingbysarah.com/products/modern-pre-printed-wholecloth-3d-orbs
Is this machine plastic or metal? I have a Juki TL 2010Q. It is steel through and through. I’m interested in the Rebel, but wonder if it’s plastic or steel?
I just got mine yesterday. I really enjoyed your video and now feel confident to give it a whirl.
Thank you!

Congrats on your new machine. It's a beauty 🙂

You know I've been using the thread it came with, but having some issues, so thinking I need to switch thread brands. Good luck with yours!

The sales/support team at the Grace company answered all my questions. I think they will be able to answer any questions you have.
The loudness is what I remember most from using the rebel at the store. It was much too loud for me.

I don’t think that is a ruler foot. It appears to be a closed toe foot. Ruler foot is higher
I think it’s loud because it’s such a workhorse
