Bryan Leung Kar-yan (Chinese name: 梁家仁) was born on January 20, 1948 and is a renowned film and television actor and director in Hong Kong. He has starred in numerous acclaimed martial arts films. He is affectionately nicknamed "Bearded" due to his distinctive beard. Additionally, Leung has hyperextensible fingers that can be seen when he extends his palms. Despite being one of the most iconic figures in Hong Kong action cinema, Leung had no formal training in martial arts. Instead, he relied on his ability to imitate the moves that action directors showed him during their shoots. Leung obtained Taiwanese nationality in 1985 and became a Taiwanese citizen. His nephew is the actor Oscar Leung.

I like him in movies as a baddie or the good guy. Maybe because he is only a movie fighter he looks so good on screen. His performance in the victim is so good and the end fight in thundering mantis is so unbelievable crazy. The violence came out of the blue. You watch a kung fu comedy movie for 70 minutes and than surprisingly you get this mad violent endfight. Great. And he had more good fight scenes in movies. Remember warriors two, the end fight in enter the fat dragon looks so good for a man who is not a trained martial artist. And he has many more cool fight scenes

Whether playing the villain or the hero, Leung Kar Yan might just steal the entire show if you're not careful. I loved him and Philip Ko Fei in "Two on The road aka Fearless Dragons" They had one of the best buddy dynamics ever seen in a kung fu film and showed off their martial art ability with panache.
