Just goes to show you don't need nudity or excessive gore to make good movies and entertainment. These were great when I was growing up and even better now!
@@williamgass9242 Agreed, I think it snuck its way in and became expected. I watch movies with friends and most conclude something should of been included to add to it. I can't think of a single reason to be in a fight and then go home and have sex! Just sayin mannnnnn

Funny, same thing here....but we laughed at the common theme of "my kung fu is better than your kung fu" in so many of these movies. Still enjoy them after all this time.
Love these movies and all the ancient wisdom and subtle sustainability. How all the characters are always training, practicing minimalism, and sustainability in a second nature kind of way. Always making use of their time. Proof that wisdom and knowledge are far better than money.
One of the best comment i have ever read under vintage kung fu. It's what i've thought for years. I have now realized that technology is driven by corporate greed, not by improving standard of living and sometimes degrading it like current wireless and smartphone look fun and convenient but in the life of a human being it's toxic and serves no wholesome purpose. What's worse, economies do not focus on essential valuable industries like agriculture, furniture, lasting architecture building instead it focuses on short gain and hurts people in those valuable industries (farmers, furniture makers are gone, building is for short term profit not for long term civilizational architecture).
My favorite kind of martial art/action movies are the ones where the star or supporting actor goes from being a knucklehead to seriously training and matures. I see myself as the court jester and then taking my reading on mind, spirit and body. I wonder what level I could have reached had I been more focus on what my dad tried to drill into my brain but knuckleheads only listen, they can't hear you. So unfortunately my own children didn't get that slack because I made them practice what what they say they love and what I know they're gonna need. They don't complain anymore and by coincidence they love watching these great old movies with me now. Thanks for the uploads.
I remember that the Hong Kong Kung Fu movies, started the Kung Fu crazies in my town. Every kid wanted to learn Kung Fu. The book store could not keep Fung Fu books on the shelves. Kids would go the the theater as often as they could to learn moves.
I agree. 2 more movies that have great choreography are 7 Grandmasters and Mystery of Chessboxing. Ghostface killer showcases his 5 elements kung-fu in these classics. The movements are beautiful.
The kung fu choregraphies in this movie are extremely complex and fast. There is a lot of variety and the fighting looks powerful, precise and expertly. It surpasses all the kung fu movies in that regard. All the fight scenes are at an incredible level. Even secondary actors that are usually not that expert put their A games some probably got hurt too filming this.
