Do you have a Pedal Monster? It's made by Banks and a game changer. If you don't I highly recommend it. I have it on my 4Runner. It connects to the OBD 2 port so no chance of "limp mode" like the other ones. Enjoyed the video. I've been debating to do intake and exhaust.
I saw you are running 26570r17. Did you have to lift it at all? I just “inherited” a Tacoma 2021 trd 4x4 and I want step 1 to be tires, just making sure they won’t rub.
Thank you very much, Jason. Always appreciate your videos. Have you heard anything about problems with passing smog checks in State of CA? Just asking in case you know anything about that. Really looking to get this and just wondering if anyone had problems. Thank you for your time. Happy Birthday! All the best.
Thank you. 🙏🏻 I’m a musician and pull the band trailer. I was looking to do exhaust and the OTT tune. I only did the drop in K&N filter vs the TRD. Does the TRD have better piping?
@@JasonExplainsThings I purchased the K&N Plastic(ABS) pipe that retains the stock box. It gets rid of the resonator on the stock pipe that’s between the air box and the throttle body
Well, I didn’t want you to spend More …. But after months with an MBRP, I ordered the Magnaflow. The mbrp drones and no way to mitigate it. I even did sound deadening in the rear and it’s still pretty bad. At least this way I can run the resonator and help with drone
Bummer. Yeah the exhaust can be a bit loud/drone-y when climbing hills. Other than that I’m very pleased with it. It’s a lot of fun when you give it the beans.
Def waiting on the MPG data. I have a '23 LIMITED. I like the 1.35 sec improvement in 0-60, but I'm thinking the day to day townie hills, etc., would not result in much additional peppy-ness? Exhaust tone is definitely better, but not worth it for the "sound" by itself, then I have to factor in you have a cold air intake (CAI). You mentioned the CAI made NO difference in MPG or additional power, which would be my primary reason for the purchase. So first: THANK YOU! As a DIYer, I would love to add both the goodies, but economically, hard to justify. Second: keep the improvement videos coming, great job! BTW, you remind me of me with my girls when I was young. I got about 25 years on you, so enjoy them .....and the truck. Leave you with - what state has the smallest soft drinks? Minnesota.......🤣
It’s negligible if better or worse. Overall I’m happy with it for the added clearance and the exhaust note. Just did the same thing on my 4Runner a few months ago.
Thanks for high quality review as always J!
I can’t wait to get one, hopefully next year. I watched their video on the 3 new exhausts for Colorado the other day.
Hey Jason, your vids are great, excellent attention to detail, except (sorry) but can you re-spell your title, change it to Magna, not Manga?
Dude. Fixed it. Thank you so much for pointing that out. DM me on Instagram and I’ll send you a sticker or patch if you want one. I’m an idiot. 😂
Yeah! 4runner next!
Nice! Couple things I'm curious about is how much did it effect fuel economy and what was the weight difference?
I’ll definitely update you guys on MGP as time passes. They weigh almost the same. 3 pounds heavier with the resonator.

I use a Pedal Commander currently without any issues. But I'll look into it. Once I upgrade tire size I'll likely go with a tune.
Are those the tight fitting carhartt covers or the loose ones?
Here’s an Amazon link. 👍 amzn.to/3OP8b0n

Here’s a video about it: th-cam.com/video/UBXT_3IbChY/w-d-xo.html
Does it come with spare muffler bearings?
Yes, No, Definitely Maybe!

I haven’t. Magnaflow is based in CA so I can’t imagine this would be a problem.

It’s marginal. I like the TRD intake. Under full acceleration you can hear a difference… but it’s mostly cosmetic.

if you remove the cap you get the loudest posible setting
Does anyone make a Great sounding exhaust for a double cab Tacoma with a 6’ bed?
Come for the dopamine. Stay for the dad jokes.
If someone doesn’t laugh… just keep asking if they get it! Right?!
@@JasonExplainsThings That DEF wont drive them nuts.
Hood stack i demand it
😂
Does this fit the quad cab long bed?
Checked Magnaflow website and unfortunately it does not fit the 4 door long bed
Bummer. Do they have one that does?
Doesn’t look like it? Maybe I missed it 🤷♂️
I love rhe overland part empty your pocket book suckers. I mean cool dudes
i'm never interested in bias opinions, when you get the exhaust for fee.
Interested enough to watch and comment. All I can ask for. Thanks for the support. 🥰
A Toyota Tacoma shouldn't go "Brap, Brap, Brap"!...
But I likes it going Brap! Brap!
