Omg!! I love the sound!! It’s throaty for a 4Cyl!! Rawr!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🎉😊 Congrats!! 🎉 Annnd…You’re getting an intake as well?!? I can’t wait to see it and hear it!!! 😊🤘🏻🎉
I do like the second one better (overland series). Agree with those little details as well. Love that black tip option as well! What's cool is that you def. can hear those turbos a little bit more as well. I think you'll get a little deeper/louder sound once intake comes in too!
The overland exhaust is the way to go! I had another brand exhaust on my 23 tundra TRD pro way to freaking loud! Switched to the overland series exhaust it sounds perfect now. Plus the back end looks cleaner with no pipes sticking out. Great video!
I think it sounds much better on the second one. I know the Civic and Corolla guys who do muffler deletes won't think it's loud enough without also adding a hot air intake. ;).
Sounds great in my opinion. I have the SR with the detuned turbo 4 cylinder. I’m curious how that would sound with one of these. Also, that green taco hat is awesome!
@TRDJON man if I ever get a Tacoma, I’d definitely get the four banger. With those factory UEL header; it sounds like a Subaru. And I was close to trade my 2015 Scion xB for the 4 banger Tacoma. But I backed out because I realize at the time, few years ago. I had 5 months left before I finish my payment. So I was like, what’s the point? I don’t want to start over again for pay the monthly payment. lol So I’m glad I made that move. 🙏🏼🤣
To each his own . I have a carven on my 3G Sport and I think it sounds awesome. I also installed a S&B intake on it. The combination tells my butt dyno there is a power increase, also I picked up 2mpg. Oh, my 3G is a ‘21.
Magnaflow makes a freaking nice product, sounds nice #2 over land for sure and insane quality, they are every bit as good as OEM, you got yourself a nice Taco there, perfect colours inside and out, great review 👍
Hey, is there anyway we could see what the other tip looks like on your truck? I am sure I can find pics, just curious of your opinion of the way that single tip looks and sits. Thanks
Have you taken many long highway drives with the Overland setup? I routinely see 75-80mph turnpike use with mine and the last thing I want is any sort of droning. I don't really care to spend $1k+ to find out myself haha
John, I’ve ordered an Off-road I-Force first of July. Should arrive end of late September. Trouble I’m having is that I just test drove a an I-Force Max. Oh man!!!! What a great ride. My question is how satisfied are you with the I-Force? Do you wish you waited for a max? Trying to decide if I need to adjust my order. Thoughts?
I am definitely going to go with the Overland series. The Performance was cool and all, but I thought I could hear it louder than you said you did when you crossed the bridge. For me. down the road; I’d get an Overland for my 4R. Mainly for the extra clearance on rockier trails.
What is the part number of the muffler that comes in that kit? I’m thinking about cutting my OEM muffler out, getting a Magnaflow 12286 and fitting it to the OEM pipes.
I’m driving a vehicle with active exhaust and I’m spoiled…The thing goes quiet as an EV when I want it to but also can get obnoxiously loud if I open up the valves. Maybe I’m getting a little older and I don’t like loud exhaust all the time anymore. Wish more manufacturers make active exhausts….
Both sound great - but the overland would be my choice. On a side note, underground looks so awesome! I was hoping it would make its way to Tundra for 25. Great video!
For sure! Yea I’d definitely do an overland series cuz SUVs and drone is a no go for me. But it seems nice and tame but when you wanna let that V8 loose I’m sure it will sound great!
Jon, you can put lipstick on a sow but it's still a sow, same theory applies here. Hitting the Rev-Limiter is Very Hard on the engine Jon, what the h3ll?
@@TRDJonIt's "How" the limiter operates is what makes it hard on the engine Jon, come on your brighter than this, it really sets me off (personally) how people abuse their vehicles like that, respect what you drive Jon, thanks. 😀
The vehicle is perfectly fine. The modern computer is limiting the throttle. So it’s not hitting the limited as I said. Even though it sounds like it, it’s not.
Jon, well done. I grew up with small trucks, a 76 Chevy LUV, a 79 Toyota 20R 4x4, an 86 Toyota 20RE 4x4, but back then there was no such thing as performance aftermarket exhausts or anything else for that matter. When I did have to replace exhausts it always seemed to be in the middle of winter working on rusted hardware and busting my knuckles and not feeling it util I warmed up inside. I could only wish my exhaust replacements were as easy as those on your new Tacoma. 😉
Hey man open your garage next time also wanted to say I made a comment on one of your shorts didn’t men’s it in disrespectful way and I enjoy your videos
As an owner of several Toyota vehicles, 2 Tacomas, 05 and 2010, 1972 FJ40, a 05 Prius, Yaris, and a 2017 4Runner.. I'm at a loss to figure out what the hell they're doing with these new trucks, specifically the engine choices.. What's the point of putting in 4 bangers in these vehicles that don't improve fuel economy one bit?
I also noticed a smell coming from my new Flowmaster exhaust that also is stainless steel. Is that normal? I did everything correct and it’s a new truck with no issues.
To be honest I’m not a huge fan of the sound of this engine. If it preforms better than the 3.5 liter engine, that’s all that counts. But it will never sound like the 4.0 v6 engine
OK, call me a pessimist I don’t care. But when you weld a data plate or MF plate to a muffler with open “catch pockets” on it you are setting up conditions for rust and dissimilar metal corrosion. Maybe it’s all good, and they use only quality S.S. Parts, and did all the testing required. Time will tell.
Nothing sounds good from a 4X4 truck with a 4cylinder in it. And it might sound great if you had a V6 in it MagnaFlow is the best but still you can tell it's a 4cylinder as you go down the street and everyone laughs at you but it will never sound good at all, but I guess if you wont to spend money for your truck sounding like you put a aftermarket muffler on a 4cylinder motor HA Ha Ha Ha so funny stock sounded better what little micro balls

No problem 👍
Glad you are stoked on the new exhaust 🤘
Love it! Appreciate the opportunity guys!
Overland Series Exhaust was an easy winner for me. I love the way it follows the frame contour.
I agree sir! Looks and functional!
Dudeeee!! Best review yet!! Love the you showed us the comparisons at the end too so we didn't have to skip back to the beginning to compare 👍🏽
Awesome! Thank you!
With the 4Runner similar/the same I really hope they have the over-landing one available soon after the 4Runner comes out. Enjoyed the review!

Man can’t wait for an intake!!!
Exhaust sound is not bad at all. Pretty fun to hear it banging off the rev limiter and thanks for having the different exhaust examples at the end
I’m glad mine isn’t the only one sitting at 15ish mpg 😂😳
It’s rough lol
Yeah the few mileage on these really sucks big time
I get 14😂 3 inch lift on 35s
The overland exhaust is the way to go! I had another brand exhaust on my 23 tundra TRD pro way to freaking loud! Switched to the overland series exhaust it sounds perfect now. Plus the back end looks cleaner with no pipes sticking out. Great video!
Totally agree! Yea I had a very loud exhaust on my first tundra too, wide open throttle was nice, but that was about it
I think it sounds much better on the second one.
I know the Civic and Corolla guys who do muffler deletes won't think it's loud enough without also adding a hot air intake. ;).
If the Subaru STI can sound great, the Toyota I4 should be able to too
that's cool man it is same for 4runner exhaust upgrade yet
Sounds like a baby diesel 4 banger lol but it also reminded me of those rally cars just nowhere near as loud lol
Does drive kinda like a diesel too
I think because its high compression and extremely loong stroke
Any noticeable power increase besides the low end torque?A before and after dyno would be awesome!
I have no idea where the closest Dyno would be. But that would be rad
Sounds great in my opinion. I have the SR with the detuned turbo 4 cylinder. I’m curious how that would sound with one of these. Also, that green taco hat is awesome!

The Overland Series Exhaust looks nice and sounds good.
I think so too!
Very curious what this would sound like with an intake. Turbo noises are the best!
I'm going to wait for the AWE exhaust the magna flow looks good but I think the AWE sounds more throaty
Spec sounds the best 👌
@TRDJON man if I ever get a Tacoma, I’d definitely get the four banger.

Dammit, TRDJon! Now I might have to buy the outlander exhaust.
You’re building out a beautiful truck.
Thanks 👍
I have a 2024 Tacoma, SR5. I like the overland exhaust. Should I be worried about voiding any manufacturer warranties?
I had a Carven on my gen 3 that I took off because it was just too much… I do want something but not sure what yet.

I have yes, I made a follow up video on this for that
i'd love to hear what the overland one hears with the single black chrome exhaust. i'd imagine it's a little more of a throatier sound. great video!!
Yea it would be more direct for sure out vs being dumped to the ground.
Nice sounds!
Glad you enjoyed!
Hey, great video, but dude, open the garage door when starting a vehicle. C0 binds with hemoglobin 200x's greater than O2. CO poisoning can be fast.

I really enjoy the iforce, but my next Taco will have the MAX. It’s just a rocket ship.
Are you going to do this with the Land Cruiser, mines on order and I'd like to see and hear the differences. Thx.
I’m not sure. The LC already has a kinda mound exhaust from
Factory
Jon, besides the aesthetics and acoustics, does replacing the exhaust improve performance and/or help/hurt with fuel economy?
I haven’t noticed fuel economy increases yet. It feel there is a tiny gain in power.
Love your videos bro. Also you uploaded on a Sunday. Want to see you do a future audio upgrade. Waiting for your led lights video

Not 100% sure. It's their overland series kit so maybe they have it on their site just with a part number or you can call them

Overland series with turn down tip. Better sound AND better off-road ground clearance.

How much additional power with Magnaflow upgrade?
They don’t say anything on their site, but the butt Dyno for low end was happy
