    This video was almost creepy for me but not because of anything said or done. I think most people agree that hearing their recorded voice played back sounds different to them because it's being heard as others hear us, not as we hear ourselves. I've always thought my voice is odd because when I hear it played back my tone and accent, generally the way I speak more than the voice sound itself is unlike anyone I've ever heard. When this video started it was as if I was listening to a recording of my own voice. Someone in my house even looked at me and asked if I was the one speaking in the video before the face was shown. Good video. Just a strange experience for me I thought I'd share.

    Thanks so much! My speedometer lights stopped working all of a sudden on my 2005 f150. Thing is they would sometimes work and sometimes not. Now they aren’t working at all. The warning lights do work and the mileage shows. My dash panel for the AC and heat does not light up. I checked the fuses, air dusted the cluster connections above the speedometer to no avail. Thinking it may be the dimmer switch? And or bulbs. What do you think?

      Deoxit the dimmer switch. D5. Worked for mine.

    I replaced all my bulbs with ice blue color ones but for some reason the dashboard is still green? And I can see the light on the back and the bulbs are blue. Did I possibly do something wrong or something? Thanks for the video it really helped out a lot!!

    • @NexGenCarGuys
      @NexGenCarGuys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No you did nothing wrong. The back of the gauge bezel is green so any light that passes through will be that color only way to change that is with an aftermarket cluster

    Question, I bought them but does the orientation of leds when you insert it into the existing bulb housing have to be in any particular orientation? Meaning positive side and negative side or does it matter which way the led gets inserted? Thanks for the video i’m trying to install this on my dads pickup he needs help and im ready to instal it but i cant find any information about it

    • @NexGenCarGuys
      @NexGenCarGuys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they have a positive and negative. Side what I did was power up the dash lights and plug in the bulb .. if it doesn't work just flip the bulb around in the socket.

    • @shannonbrooks8834
      @shannonbrooks8834 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rotate the bulb....it will make contact . Or,it won't. But,it should. Turn 180 left,or right. By the time you read this,you will have probably sold the vehicle.

  • @blowme5150
    @blowme5150 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just so you have a heads up alot of clusters will not take the leds do to low wattage sensor they have. Becouse of the fact hologens use more power then leds there for your comuter will think the bulb is burned out or not there.

    • @NexGenCarGuys
      @NexGenCarGuys  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since the install I've not had an issue with anything. I wonder what clusters have an issue?

  • @ronrandall7118
    @ronrandall7118 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a 2000 Ford F-150. I am replacing the instrument cluster lights with blue T-5 LED bulbs. The T-5 LED bulbs are polarity. When I install a LED bulb in the high beam indicator, I only get the LED to light up when I pull back on the left side turn-signal stalk or lever. When I push the stalk forward toward the dash so that the high beams are on all of the time and also for the high beam indicator light bulb to stay on all the time, I get no LED light at all. When I reverse the LED bulb polarity, I get no high beam indicator light at all in either direction. Does your T-5 LED bulb for your high beam indicator light up in both directions, forward for full time high beam or reverse (towards you) just to flash oncoming cars to warn them of a cop up ahead or whatever? I'm thinking I may have to use an LED bulb that is non-polarity, works in both directions like the factory original bulbs. But I do not see for sell on Amazon or EBay to where you can buy only one LED T-5 bulb that is non-polarity. Let me know on your truck if your high beam indicator light works in both directions (forward and aft or reverse). Thank You!!

    • @NexGenCarGuys
      @NexGenCarGuys  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes my high beam indicator works for both positions. I do not recommend putting a led light in the high beam indicator as it it super bright and all most blinding at night.

      The bars that run across the headliner are for mounting overhead compartments

      The green color is embedded in the gauge face. You cannot change the color without sanding off the back of the face

  • @VicMKV

    I thought for sure you'd swap to a blue led. That looks brighter but pretty much the same.

      The film on the back is green only way to change colors is to pull that off and add a color led. I thought about it but its just a work truck ..lol 😆.. thanks for watching.

    • @SATXDONKEY
      @SATXDONKEY 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NexGenCarGuys my 1996 mustang has the similar green film on the back. It’s actually “baked” on so I had to take my gauge needles off then remove the gauge sheet and sandpaper the back until the green was removed. Problem is you’ll need to calibrate your needles again with your hand which is a pain. I have this same truck but don’t see the screws around the glass to get to the gauges inside so I might keep it green on the truck. I went to red on the mustang
