Well. That’s a neat feature Dave. Great video. I would say that my sons 1985 Ford 1210 diesel tractor, with cab, 😂 doesn’t have that feature. We do have to turn the switch backwards to turn on the glow plugs. And we count to 10 as you do. I suppose we could continue to hold the key backward to keep the glow plugs on, once we start it. But I don’t see any advantage to that. Works fine the way we do it. Any way, great built in accessory. My Homelite chainsaw I had going last week. Cut up a 21” white birch round. Tried to use it the next day. And it would not start. Figures. And yes it had gasoline in the tank, before you ask 😂. Thanks for your information on the glow plugs and have a great Sunday. 👍🏻🇨🇦 Oh, hehe, I got 52 subscribers now. Woo hoo 🤣🫣👍🏻🇨🇦
Good Morning My friend, THANK YOU Very Kindly For your OUTSTANDING SENCE Of TRACTOR CAB HUMOR 🤣👍 Many Congrat's on Your 52 Subs Sir 👍🧐👌That is How I Start It 4 hrs ago ( spring 2019 ! ) 👌🧐👍 Have a great Sunday Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
Good morning Dave, Nice feature, I don't think the Kubota B2601 has that feature, but I will investigate. Hope you are having a great Sunday. 👍👍☕️☕️ Ben
Good Morning Sir, Thank You Very Kindly for your OUTSTANDING support and Yes let me know, I'm very interested about other brand and diesel engine makers if they have that hidden feature 🤔🧐👌👍 You Too Have a Very Nicer Sunday my friend Cheers 🍻🍻
Interesting Dave! I did hear the engine rev down a bit. I believe my tractor has a pre heat, it heats the air in the winter that goes in the intake, no glow plugs like your start up. Life is good mon ami! Cheers 😊
Good Evening Russell, thank you very kindly for your OUTSTANDING Informative Feed Back Comment About Your OUTSTANDING Kioti tractor 🧐👍👌 Pretty Windy Today ( gusting wind up to 97 km/h ) and 9c 🥶👍 Yes Sir, Life is Good Cheers 👍👌😇🍻
Hi Dave! That’s a neat feature! With my Kubota L3901 you turn the key to the first position and wait until the engine light goes off, which is just a few seconds, then you can turn the key to the start position to start the tractor. Thanks for sharing!
Good Morning Sir, Thank you very kindly for your OUTSTANDING Informative feed back comment about your Kubota L3901 😇👌👍 It is certainly the same objective (to achieve the best thermal optimum for a good start of the diesel engine) 🧐👍 Thank You Very Kindly Sir and I can't wait to see your Next Video Sir Cheers 👍😇👌🍻
I have a Mahindra 20s as well. I was told to and just turn the key so ignition is on and glow plug light comes on. Once it goes out I turn the key to start, I thought it was just on a timer. Because even when warm the light stays on the same amount of time. I stopped turning the key to the left and counting.
@@dencope5332 Good Day Sir, Thank you very kindly for your OUTSTANDING Support and subscribing to my channel Sir. I do recommend Sir, that have the glow plugs running before your are starting the tractor, you will eliminate bad combustion at the begging since the chamber is not properly heated at first. You will have also less Carbone built up too, but the very important thing is the quality of your Fuel is the VITAL Factor Sir 😇👌👍 Thank You Again Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
Hi David. Interesting feature on your Yanmar based Mahindra. My Mahindra is Mitsubishi based and does not do that. Great info though. I went and checked mine as soon as I saw your video. Thanks as always for the continued efforts in creating quality content. Life is indeed good my friend. Cheers
Good Evening Sir, Thank You Very Kindly for taking the time to investigate about your OUTSTANDING Mahindra 👌🧐👍 Mitsubishi make also OUTSTANDING Diesel Engines 👍🧐👌 💪 Thank You Again and Yes Life is indeed Good For Sure Sir Cheers 👌🧐👍🍻
Good Afternoon Sir, Thank You Very Kindly For Your Feed Back Report. I do agree that will be a neat feature but I think that if take an extra time when you are Turning your Glow Plugs ( ON ) it will be the same or near the same goal 🧐👍 thank you again and Good Quality Fresh Diesel is also a vital factor 👍🧐👌🍻
Very interesting Dave...I don't think my glow plugs stay on but I'm going to be watching for the RPM bump next time I start up! Good stuff my friend! 👍😎
Good Evening Chris, thank you very kindly for your OUTSTANDING Informative Feed Back comment about your Orange Tractor, Yes let me know about the bump next time you start it 🧐👍 60 MPH winds right now 🥴🥶👍 See You Tonight ( Ed Monday Livestream )Cheers 🍻
Good evening Sir, usually when glow plugs stay on after starting it's one of 2 reasons. 1. To reduce the amount of emissions so they contine to cycle or 2. The plugs are becoming less efficient and may need to be swaped out sooner than later. It depends on how long the light stays on to determine if it is 1 or 2 above. Glad you got your chainsaw parts. Hopefully it will be up and running soon. Have a great week Sir!
Good Evening Sir, thank you very kindly for your OUTSTANDING Informative comment 👌👍😇 Yes I can confirm that they still ( on ) until they reach the setting temperature and they did that when they were almost brand new, ( did not notice it the first months ), but less than 6 mounts I was asking the technicians and they were telling me that, but I never taught of making a videos yet about that. When I had reached 250 k with my VW Jetta turbo diesel I had to change all of them, but only 2 were burns they others were still working but in order to make the engine start, it need 3 of them from 4. but I had notice that they were starting to fail on me. I sold that Jetta at 300 k to my friend and he manage to reach 500 k with it until he had a accident but I was ok 🧐 The worst and most expensive are the one combine with the injectors but when it is only the glow plugs is not to bad for the price 😇👍👌 Yes I can wait to able to work on that chainsaw , but I'm currently doing a intensive course that require me to study a hour per nights and 6 hrs per Saturday,,, but it is fun and very deeply challenging at all levels 🥴 🧐👍😇✨🚀 Thank You Again Cheers 🍻
Great interesting video super Dave. Sometimes when it's really cold out I shoot some of my famous prune juice in my tractor. It does backfire a few times but it runs really great after. Take care my friend. Raining really hard right now

Hi Dave, as you know I have the same tractor and I th the same year as yours. I called my dealer and asked him about the glow plug when I bought it. He told me I don’t have to turn the key to the left at first, all I had to do was turn the key to the right once, and then when the glow plug light goes out I could start it. I noticed and you said to turn it to the left, then to the right and start it. I only turn my key one click to the right, wait until the glow plug light goes out and the I start it. I’ve never had a problem, and from what the dealer told me that turning it to the right once and waiting for the glow plug light to go out is doing the same thing as turning it to the left. Just saying that’s what I do and never had a problem, so far.
Good Morning Sir, That is a very interesting point and in the operator Manuel on chapter 3, it does mention like you are telling me but doing so, the battery is feeding a lots of electrical stuff and might loose power for the glow plugs, so if you turning left ( ONLY GLOWPLUGS ) will be energized for a better cold start and 100% battery power toward these glow plugs. If you look also at chapter 2.3 it does mention that. This is an OUTSTANDING super informative feed back comment my friend. I will try it for sure and could you try it to see if you can detect a difference ? Cheers 👍😇🍻
@@RCAFpolarexpress Yes Dave, when I first got the tractor I use to turn it to the left first, then realized when I turned it to the right the glow plug would also come on. So I called the dealer and he told me turning it to the right one click and waiting for the glow plug to go out before starting the tractor is the same as turning to the left. The important thing here is ( I Think ) is that the glow plug has the proper amount of time to heat the chamber regardless of what position it is in while warming the glow plug. But I could be wrong. I have been doing it almost since I bought the tractor and I’ve never had a problem, I hope I’m safe. Lol
