    Mr. Rick is one cool guy. Always good energy, makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Willing to share his beautiful collection with the world. I like how he lets you drive the vehicles as well. Most guys of his status usually have a stick up his butt and are arrogant jerks. Not him at all. Thank you Rick. 🤙💯

    My old man’s first new vehicle was a highly optioned ‘72 C-20 that he purchased on the “cheap” since the new body style ‘73’s were already showing up on the dealer lots. It was the first truck I had ever seen that had a tilt steering wheel and factory air conditioning. The interior was very similar to the one in this video except the houndstooth fabric was replaced by a bright orange plaid to match the exterior of the truck. The “Grabber Orange” Mustang in my avatar was a nod to the orange on my dad’s C-20......🍊

    The f100 under 30 miles seems so crazy. I'm not a huge in the 70s f100 I just bought a 81. But the c10 oh yeah love that look I'm getting on soon my grandpa bought in the late 70s with less the 10,000 miles it was in a accident and my grandpa bought it replaced the front clip and only put a 1,000 miles on it then it got parked in a barn. Its almost prefect I'm so excited to get to drive it around.

    Oh yes the golden days. I miss the Ford steering, which had you float all over the road. I had a Chevy Custom with a 350 (76) and I had a 78 Ford explorer, and a 79 Ford Explorer. The 78 had a 460 engine, the 79 the inline six tractor engine. All trucks had two fuel tanks because if you did more than a 160 miles you had to flip the switch. Great memories though

The only thing I replaced on my truck was the starter but other than that mostly was just simple maintenance, took out the transmission fluid just to get rid of the shuttering it was making and it hasn't had a problem ever since.I have a video of it on my channel if you want to come see it sometime. A person can stand on main street sidewalk in any small town in any state in the USA and without exaggeration sooner or later a old Ford Bumpside will drive past. It may be in great shape or sound like a crop duster thanks to a fried plug wire creating a miss in the cylinder its s upposed to fire and that classic cracked exhaust manifold and it crisp " Frap Frap Frap " sound its making . But undoubtedly one will come motoring by. They are some very tough trucks that are very hard to kill. Mr Majestic as played by bronson showed their toughness. Not known for lots of power or ride comfort but they are proven work horses that have almost unmatched reliability even when getting beat on daily. C 10 rode nicer and had better power thanks to gm and chevrolets willingness to put a 4 barrel on damn near everything they produced while Ford 100 had a 2 barrel motorcraft on basically every V8 powered Ford pickup until the 70s and the 460 arrived .The 360 FE was a slug with the low compression . But the Ford was significantly tougher

    How come no back story. I mean who buys a truck and never uses it, why did it not deteriorate over time. I call BS on this, I thin they are both recent restorations.

    • @MyClassicCarTV
      @MyClassicCarTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. Totally unrestored ultra-low mileage originals. Most of the NPD colection is like this. It's amazing!

    • @syngensmyth4587
      @syngensmyth4587 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well if that is true the back story is more important than the cars themselves, sure they make a nice presentation but it is absolutely fascinating that these cars have not suffered any materials degradation over time. For that to be the case there was total preservation going on from day dot. Who did that, why and how were they found what are they worth. Seeing you experience the cars was fun but there is too much missing from this. I will put this place on my agenda for next visit though.

      Calling reputable people like this dishonest says a lot about you.
      My Grandfather bought a 1949 Ford F1, brand new. When he died in 1961, the truck had a whole 2,600 miles on it. Looked like new. Never was worked. Never Winter driven. He had another truck (Studebaker) for farm chores. Vehicles like this do exist. Just because this doesn't agree with your idea of reality doesn't mean it isn't real :~)
