I have a nice 59! bubble top 2 door! But holly hell this 59 convertible is one Gorgeous Car!! WOW!!!!!!!Driving this car, I bet you would hear a lot of Cracking & popping! Not because the car is over 60 years old! It's all the people necks Cracking & popping! HA! HA!! That's what happens when I drive mine! And it's not a convertible. Nice Car Sir!! " Beautiful " Mr. Montoya Ut
So refreshing to see a '59 Impala in a gorgeous metallic paint job with low key colors. I like it much better than that awful orange most of the '59 and '60 cars are now. Beautiful!
Not taking anything away from our host , but one would imagine surely he would distinguish the similarities between the '60 Impala dash & this here '59 being an old car cultist . My dad bought a '59 Impala fresh off the lot in late 1958 .
I wish it was never crushed, but an old junk yard, which is now gone had a 1959 Parkwood station wagon, originally yellow (taxi?) and it had a factory original padded dash!!!
That '59 has the best interiror I've ever seen! All class & style.
2 of the finest looking 50s convertibles I've seen in a while especially the Chevy with a 4speed floor 🤣 shift behind a hotrod motor
And Red Mercury is a perfect example of 50s factory customs
And a Ford hotrod motor
So much beauty in this episode. Enjoyed close up shots. Denis got owner talking after bit. (:

That Mercury is simply gorgeous.

I have a 54 Mercury this color combo and I had a 55 Montclair black and white hardtop in High School
If there is one area Chevy beat Ford it was in dash design, pretty smart since thats your first impression as a driver.
Later on Ford made the Edsel E- clair only came in light brown with a dark brown top and a tan interior.
Both nice cars. However, I think that while the Mercury looks good, and quite natural with the fender skirts, the Chevrolet does not.
Both cars would look much, much better without the nasty looking fender skirts.
To each their own.
