I just bought this today in homedepot, i used it on my deck, to prep for staining. Deck is a year old, never been stained. Dirt is average. The sunjoe unit worked well to remove the moulds but it took me an hour and half due to its psi power. It works but expect to take some time to do the job.

were you able to pop on a different nozzle to get more psi?

If you had a whiteboard with a grid or an easel with white paper you could write all those numbers down and develop a numerical grid or table conclusion. If you used paper and kept the same format, you could tape the posters up on the wall and be able to compare all the pressure washers you have reviewed. I applaud your consistent measuring of PSI and GPM with various nozzles. Thanks much.

Just a warning on Sunjoe pressure washers and possibly other products in case no one else has mentioned it. A month after the warranty ran out on my SPX3000 the unloader/pressure valve failed causing surging. Sunjoe does not make or sell ANY repair parts. They only sell replacement hoses, nozzles and accessories. ALSO : Their hose seals and fittings are proprietary and standard hoses and seals for them will not seal and they will leak and cause pressure surges. Great while they last, but if it has a problem you are going to have to buy another one. At least you can keep your old SPX3000 to use for spare parts. ( Parts warehouses online and repair places won't touch them either)

Have had my sunjoe spx 3000 with the double containers since 2019. I wash religiously my vehicle at least once to twice a week. I even wash in the winter about 1/2 as much. It is still going strong, I always purge before turning on and never had a hiccup. A couple years ago I bought the CG new pressure washer thinking it was an upgrade.... Took that bi*ch right back to the store! Sunjoe foams amazing I have 0 upgrades and use a 15$ Amazon cannon also never replaced! And it's 2024 now

Just wanted to say that your reviews are fantastic. I wonder how many more views you could get if your reviews added noncar cleaning capabilities such as driveways, decks, and fences or at least a simulated version with a piece of deck or fence.

Nice Vid! I think the older model spx3000 has two different soap dispensers - isn't this a key feature that this XT version doesn't have? Use case - leave a car wash solution in one and a home/deck solution in the other

This is helpful stuff. I picked up my SPX at a pawn shop a few years ago for $40 I think. It was missing the wand and hose if I remember correctly but I still thought it was a good deal. I have used it with no issues. I just foam washed my cars for the first time last week using an aftermarket shorter gun. I also bought the 1.1mm orifice so I’m interested in seeing the difference. Last upgrade will be a new hose. The ones they come with are pretty crappy. The unit does a decent job cleaning the sidewalk.

Hi IMJOSHV, First I want to say thank you for making all these awesome videos! So I watched your Ryobi 1600 vs 1900 video and when you compared the 15 Degree Nozzle with the 40 Degree Nozzle for the Ryobi 1600, you received a PSI of 1900 with 15 Degree Nozzle, and a PSI of 800 for the 40 Degree Nozzle. Yet in this video of the Sunjoe SPX 3000 when you use a 40 Degree Nozzle the PSI you got was 1100, so doesn't that mean the Sunjoe SPX 3000 is more superior than the Ryobi 1600/1900???

I don't want to spend money online on parts that might not work, hence the question: If I'm eventually going to do a quick connect fitting, can't I just go M22 15mm to 14mm quick connect, instead of going M22 15mm to 14mm reducer, then add quick connect fitting? Less parts, less chance of leaks I'm thinking. Or there is no such product as a reducer/quick connect in 1 fitting?

Question for you, Josh. I have the older model spx3000. I recently upgraded to the 30' uber flex hose, adams foam cannon, and put the 1.1mm orifice in the cannon. I was super excited to test all this out and see my foam production. Sadly, I had horrible results. before even putting the foam cannon attachment on and just using the standard snub nose handle, I noticed an immediate loss of pressure and power from when I had everything factory. Upon attaching the foam cannon, same thing. Horrible pressure and the worst foam production ive ever gotten. Any ideas what could be causing these issues? The hose and the 1.1mm orifice would be the only major changes I made. Please help with any input you have! Love our channel!

Its the highest point of pressure. For some reason when you have the gauge hooked up, and pulling the trigger it reads the actual usable psi and when you let go of the trigger the needle bounces to a higehr point. Its a certain rating system they all use but the actual usable psi is different and thats what i try to show.

Hi Stephen, honestly im not sure if they use the same pump or not... I havent played with the standard spx3000 that much... @@imjoshv I use a foam cannon but with I'd have got that one with the gun you linked too since now I'm buying a gun seperate hahaha. I was thinking of suction tanks to use something like Super Clean in a tank for a prewash for fender wells and along the bottom and maybe in the other tank a cheap spray wax for drying aid (things I'm currently doing with spray bottles). But you may be right that it takes too long to get through the hose. I hadn't thought that, thank you for mentioning that. I also wanted tanks for chemicals to use around the house like to pressure wash off the deck, mildew on siding, etc....really though I suppose I could use my foam cannon for the house stuff too.
Certainly being stuck on dispensers has kept my pw options limited....I may just skip that like your suggesting, then I could really just use the HF pw you reviewed and have the extra power!....extra power is always good. Lol

So I enjoy your channel but all of these pressure measurements and water volume measurements are not fair or accurate because you are not using the original equipment that is sold with the machine. Whether or not your equipment would be more favorable or less favorable is irrelevant because what it says on the box is what needs to be used to measure those. I know in your most recent video, you seemed to be sensitive to that but it is very important if we are trying to make our own independent judgment. Otherwise, just tell us exactly what to buy in different price ranges and what attachments to add that you feel are perfect and we can also go from there. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve done extensive tests to make sure that the aftermarket hose and wand don’t affect the numbers… I’ve tested with original equipment and the aftermarket stuff and it gets the same psi and gpm until you start changing the tips orifice size.

@@imjoshv sounds good. Just ordered the Costco Greenworks 2000. I’ll start there and than order your gun a bottle once I see the fittings. The hose sealed the deal for me.

@@imjoshv how can a 50 or 100 foot hose produce the same output as the stock 20 foot or 25 foot hose. not intuitive that these small pumps could maintain same pressure over 2-4x the stock distances??
