My wife is from Nayarit and I am from Sonora. We have been going there for the past three years and I fell in love with both Sayulita and Guayabitos. Best places to be and we have been to Puerto Rico and Miami. We love Nayarit.
Thanks for the video. We are trying to decide if we stay in Nuevo Vallarta or the Sayulita are this December. I am 67 years old and have gained 20 lbs in the last 2 years. Doctor does not want me to visit Sayulita.
I observed lots of folks in your same age range enjoying the city of Sayulita. Of course it is entirely a personal decision. Because it is so easy to get around using Uber, you may want to consider a day trip to Sayulita and or San Pancho. At either location, I would recommend that you rent a golf cart for the day and enjoy everything. The area has to offer. Have a great trip!
What was the beach like? People keep saying sewage dumps into the beach! I’m already booked for 4 nights, so I’m hoping the sewer issue is no more. Thanks! Can’t wait to visit
The beaches were great - no issues there at Sayulita. I would also recommend a day trip over to La Lancha beach. No services there, but it’s an amazing beach.
There are dozens of locations where you can rent for a day, a week or whatever. Everything is subject to negotiation, but you can expect to pay anywhere between $40 - $60 per day, depending on whether you rent an electric or gas operated cart and the size of the cart.
In 1973 I spent June and July in a palapa there when the total population was about 40 people. It’s never been a great wave for surfing but occasionally would have it’s moments. So yes Robson, the water is polluted and the reef decimated and the crowds horrendous but thatz the price you pay for progress. But I will always remember my first 2 months there when I was 17 years old. I still visit once in awhile. Cheers…….
I spent all my time in the water at La Lancha Beach which is away from the populated areas. I did not spend any time in the water at the beach at Sayulita, but there were tons of folks there who did.
Hi Cliff! We're considering traveling to Sayulita during the last week of June. Comparably, your visit seems much less populated by tourists than I see in other vlogs... Were you just out and about early in the day, or was it the time of year? We'd love to experience Sayulita, though the crowds I'm seeing by searching TH-cam look overbearing. Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!
Hi, I was there in February and there were no crowds. I also visited the previous May and Sayulita WAS crowded. You might consider going just a little further north and staying in San Pancho. Much less crowded, quiet setting, but you have plenty of resturant access AND you are within a 10-15 minute UBER ride to Sayulita if you want to come into town for the day or to eat. So technically, you can have it both ways.
You could eat well on $70 per person per day. I think I spent about $60 per day because my breakfast was included in my stay, although I did eat breakfast out a couple of times. Have a great trip!
Hi. I'm from México City and my advice is to eat at well known restaurants, big or small. I never eat food from the street, I know a lot of people do, I just don't feel safe, always drink water from a bottle, even popsicles from local vendors I would not buy them, stick to well known brands. So there you have it, enjoy México just be cautious what you eat and where you eat. This is my opinion, other people or tourists may think differently. Best regards.
😮 This place looks amazing! Awesome video!
It is and we will have to go...
Thanks for taking us on this journey with you
Thank you guys for helping me along the way - love your product!

My boyfriend and I went in February, and we both got the Norovirus, the sickest I’ve ever been. The water was filthy.
@@biancadekker5821 did you swim in the ocean? Drink unfiltered water?
Thanks for the informative video. Was curious the cost of golf cart rental ? Thanks again !

Thank you for your comment, sounds like you were there at the beginning.
what about all the sewage problems of dumping in the ocean and people geting sick? does that still happen?

I’d like to meet the people responsible for building such an interesting hotel.
Thanks for the comment - you should travel to Sayulita and visit the hotel to check it out.

Hello, I'm going in September, approximately how much money do you spend in a day there? to know how much to take, greetings

Did you get sick? I keep hearing everybody gets sick? I’m going in June and nervous to get the norovirus that’s going around like crazy..
Nope, I did not have any issues, and I ate out every day all day.
@@CliffWagner awesome, that’s good to know. Glad you had a great time and thank you for your video of your trip, looks wonderful!
@@CliffWagnershe’s not talking about the food but the dirty ocean water virus.

No, you don't get sick unless from eating their food. I did however get sick, from all the alcohol I drank in my 5 day stay in the state of Nayarit.
what's the name of the hotel?
Hotelito Los Suenos.
@@CliffWagner Thank you.
Luggage on the bed?
I placed towels under the luggage as I was unpacking.
The dirtiest city in Mexico I've ever visited. I got sick first day of my visit and was miserable. Bad advice ...
I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
