My wife and I had a 2022 XSE. It got totaled three days ago when my wife got hit by a high schooler on her way to drop off one of our kids at daycare. Thankfully they were both fine along with the kid that him them. As soon as the airbags went off my wife was called by toyotacare and they called 911 for her. My brother in law works for Toyota and immediately ordered us a 2025 the same day. We couldnt be happier with these new generation Siennas and the safety they offer.
1:00 the styling is actually one of the things I like the most about the Sienna. I think their exterior styling does a good job of looking distinctly Toyota while looking mildly aggressive. Vehicles that look sporty when they are anything but ,is not attractive.
What Toyota should've done along with the Advanced Rear Seat Reminder is to activate the climate control to 70° in the cabin. Time & heat kills and seconds matter. 70° outside is about 115° inside a vehicle. A lot of people use this climate control function while napping or sleeping overnight in their Sienna or Prius. Yes it only works with the keys present but I'm sure Toyota can work something out as a safety measure. Tesla already has it. People leave their dogs inside all the time while the AC is running. Toyota can easily do this as well and i think it's a game changer as far as safety goes. I'm going to contact Toyota's R&D about this.
Just bought a ‘25 XLE a few days ago for the Mrs. Compared to my ‘24 work (fleet) Sienna, the fit & finish is MUCH nicer along w/ new tech. A much-needed improvement.
@@carbzav8017 bought directly from lot, but many in my area have been pending sale before they even hit the dealership by way of refundable deposits. I got ~5.5% off MSRP plus $1250 in rebates (Uber $750 & military $500), but I had to shop around hard for that deal while pinning OTD quotes against multiple dealers. $45K pre-tax OTD on a XLE AWD. Once one gave the 1st discount, this snowballed up to ~5.5%. Be willing to call/email multiple dealers, even those well outside your range, just for OTD quotes to use to compare to closer by you. Also, be ready for some dealers simply not wanting to work below MSRP anyway. Best of luck!
All that occupancy detection tech is a fitting metaphor for minivans in general: it's exactly what most Americans need and want .... they just won't want to admit it.
Jeff works at AutoTrader and both companies are owned by Cox Automotive so sometimes we get Jeff at KBB and sometimes Lyn heads over to AT. We love the crossover episodes!
Excellent review! Love the new larger screens. Im ready for the next redesign though. The exterior is…well, kinda odd looking. I prefer the second row space of the sienna with the super long adjustable seat settings. No one can beat that for tall folk in the second row.
The RAV4 didn’t get redesigned yet and they didn’t.. granted, I think the Sienna being a Hybrid is a high note, whereas on a RAV4 being less showing of that is fine
purchased a platinum at msrp. waited about 3 months. use the toyota inventory website to do your research. as for extended warranty. call the warranty manager at midwest toyota in kansas for a quote.
Not sure why Toyota still have not give this a plugin hybrid with a 50 miles EV range? There are plenty of space under the body for the battery to fit. This would cover all the daily commute and the gas engine will only be use for road trip.

We're talking about minivans here, so why bring up that it's not sporty, doesn't have crazy horsepower and all irrelevant stuff for this class of vehicle. Review should be more focused on comfort, efficiency and practicality of it's intended use!
the 2.5L engine is so noisy, the van is so heavy and the motors are not powerful enough, the engine endlessly kick in and you can hear it in the cabin, they really need a plug in one with more powerful motors; these rear seat reminder... what's wrong with people these days that can forget their kids or pets in the car??
We need more power in the Sienna! It’s adequate when only a driver, maybe with one passenger. Loaded up with a couple kids and gear, that thing is a dog.
The chassis flexes. I have one. At speeds of 80 mph you can feel a clicking in the second row. Do not rush to get one. Check out the other options first pls. I would have gotten the Pacifica tbh. Much sturdier build quality
At 3:40 any vehicle can be on a racetrack if you have the guts to put it on the track....wait a minute, just switch over to the Sienna xse trim and go to the track 😂😂
Toyota: The good news is our fancy new advanced interior radar system lets generally responsible people who can actually afford a $50k van (who are much more likely to never need it) know when they’ve left a child in the car. Bad news: your children now have cancer from being bombarded with a steady stream of short wave radiation. Toyota-we’re going places.
I thought he said it kicks in once the car is off, driver door has been opened, then shut and then the vehicle locked. Unless your kids are locked in it while off like that, no radar
It has comparable horsepower to V6 minivans from 15 years ago and gets to 60 in under 8 seconds in testing. That is plenty quick and getting double the city MPG versus a V6 minivan makes it more than worth it.
I really wish that Toyota had not change the 3.5L to 2.5L for the larger cars!, Too much cheap politics that will damage the name and reputation of a brand that make them long to creat & get trusted as well as respected!!

wouldn't drive a minivan, but the sienna is the best looking one on the market right now

Welcome to KBB!

The Sienna is looking more and more like a Previa everyday. One day the future will finally catch up with it.
Had an Uber ride in one of the recent past year models of these. As a passenger, I thought it was a comfortable ride.
Minivan royalty ;) the TOYOTA

I drive inside the vehicle. It's easier to not care that much about the front looks.
If I had young kids, this would be the family Swagger Wagon. So, only the occasional grand kids, the Grand Highlander Hybrid sits in the garage.
actually thinking about getting a 2016 model!
Very intriguing that with the RAV4 and Camry they went away with the blue Toyota emblem but kept it here
They probably just don't care. I'm sure for the refresh/redesign theyll get rid of it

It boogles my mind that most minivans start around $50k CDN.
How much do they cost in the past?
no MIcah? He was the most fun to watch :(

In reality Toyota dealers charge a markup over MSRP up to $7500 so that's not the true price
Toyota Sienna is way too under powered.
