There’s a 2025 Platinum listed in my area with a $6k markup, because of horrible and unnecessary dealer installed “features.” Like no, I seriously don’t need you disabling the stock car alarm to install a different one with Bluetooth!
Its crazy, we got ours 4 years ago already! Love it Also: for the Carplay thing, I can't see where you had the wire, but the only plug that works for it is up by the wireless charger!
Not true, I ordered in July and mine is being build phase and should be here in 2 weeks. Btw it's a 2025 XSE instead of the 2024 which I placed in July.
I had a 2025 Platinum on order but ended up getting a 2024 for the following reasons: - Got $2.5k off MSRP on the 2024. With $3k price increase for the 2025, final difference between 2024 and 2025 ended up close to $6k. - Fridge and vacuum eats up a ton of space between second row seats and its not an option which i could skip on the 2025 Platinum trim.
I bought a 2024 XLE through a dealer that pledged no markup - but I had to wait 10 months from the time I ordered to actually get it (I’m also still waiting for my second key to arrive-apparently due to the chip shortage still) I live in NC, bought the van in NC which means it came through “Southeast Toyota Distributors” which automatically adds certain features to the car whether you want them or not-nothing you can do about it. Also, when you order a new car from Toyota, you’re not ordering a specific vehicle, you’re specify your preferences and when the distributor has the vehicle you want and you’re next in line to get a car, THEN you will get the car you wanted. All this to say, we’ve had the van since late June and LOVE IT. Hope to keep it for 15+ years.
Got a 2025 XLE allocated on its way… 4-6 weeks, The XLE comes with gray seat, not the black bottom and sides. Spare tire was a must option , 8 passenger. Nice to agree , the 2025 is worth it/
@@edwardgh57 I had no idea they had those and I would love one of those ‘cause I have three girls under 7. Thanks for letting me know. I have been researching since last night when I saw this video and realized XLEs are 8-seaters.

How can you say "made 5 grand" when you simply traded it in? We all know that the "trade in amount" is meaningless - what they are REALLY giving you for the trade in is much less.
@@nwsvndr I paid 49000 for the Sienna in October 2022. They gave me 55000 for it on a trade for 2024 4 runner. I wrote a check for 5000 and got the 60000$ 4 runner. This saved me the tax trading it in at dealership.
Cheap as in fit and finish? Or drivability cheap? I’m looking to buy a ‘23+ sienna but just can’t seem to find the positives in them, only thing that is intriguing me is the gas mileage compared to my 2007 Sienna.
Funny story. A PBS Newshour producer reached out a few years ago because they'd seen a video I made flying over the port of LA during the pandemic, when it was fully of ships that couldn't offload. I wound up flying one of their videographers in my chopper over the port for a story. My only request for donating the flight? A classic PBS tote bag. Amazingly, the producer couldn't get one but she did have a PBS Newshour water bottle. I begrudgingly accepted it. :)
My 2007 version still runs great, and am very hesitant to upgrade to this generation. Except the MPG, I dislike almost every change in it, inside and out. Look at the build quality of third row seat.
Don't upgrade, i don't know what happened, but toyota quality around 2010 fell off a cliff.. my 01 Symphony Edition sienna was like a lexus minivan, quiet, beautifully made, rock solid reliable and went 345k miles before the steering rack seal failed. Cost to repair was 2500.00 i should had fixed it. I traded it on a new 2012 Platinum awd and it was junk in comparison, a sea of hard plastic, uncomfortable seats, rattles, and creaks.. it went from a lexus to an 80's hyundai.. The new ones are worse.. if your 07 is a loaded up one and rust free i would replace what breaks and keep it.. I think that generation was the best sienna they ever made.
THE PRETTY RED CLOR IS KILLER, THEY NEED TO PUT A TURBO ON IT AND THEN IT WILL BE SPOT ON! THESE ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AHOLD OF THOUGH. XSE IN SO CA, WITH TAX AND LICE IS OVER 53k
Question on the interior safety feature where it notify or honk the horn when you leave someone or animal in the car. Many times, I'd leave my wife/kids in the car briefly at night or in cool weather so I can go to the store to pick up something. Or when she doesn't want to tag along in hardware store. Can I or an adult inside the car turn that feature off in that situation or there's no way of turning it off?
I had no idea a mini van got that kind of MPG 🤔...I lived 'van life' for about 3 years in a Ford Econoline. I think my mileage was 18-20 mpg. But on long road trips I could pull over and get in bed 😂..and yeah I lived in a van down by the river 🤨
You'll have to wait until at least 2027. I want a Prime with safety sense 3 or 4. (you can remove the seats, it's just a bit more difficult - google it. You need a little electronic device to fool the van into thinking the seats are there. It's being done "a lot.")
@@Ab_Wolf Just study Toyota's history of updates for the Sienna, and even across models, and consider that the current generation is selling well - as much as you and I might complain, it ain't broke. And "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
