48 seconds in and you do the best diy standalone work. Better than anyone else on TH-cam, including big companies who you probably know I’m talking about! 🔥

Another great and very useful video! You're really good at explaining all of this.
You do have some spelling mistakes in thumbnail and video title, which you might wanna correct. 😉
Keep up the good work, mann! 🫡

Shouldnt cam/crank be connected to 5v and signal ground??

most sensors are 12v. there are some that are 5v but very rarely the case.

@throttlebuddies6356 in my memory Cam/Crank Sensors Always get Power and Ground from the ecu and never from the car. And popular standalones Like ecumaster also Work with 5v. I guess there are 12v ones but i cant Imagine connecting them to the battery instead of the dedicated ecu Power/Ground for reference.

those you mean are VR sensors probably, yes those are only connected to the ecu by + and -. the hall effects sensors usually are 12v and can be connected to the chassis for ground as they just send a signal to the ecu and the ecu also is just grounded to the chassis. thats why in this case i chose the pinout of this perticular ecu, as it only has 1 ground pin so nothing can be confused

@@throttlebuddies0 i meant 3 Pin Hall Sensors, but yeah the ecu gives the Ground to the Chassis, Just thought that a Ground to ecu would result in a clearer Signal which isnt distorted

@@bengerdes4679 yep that is possible, also that is why some prefer to use the 5v sensors as the ecu gives out a stable 5v and the battery voltage obviously will vary a bit. but, most ecus and sensors are pretty well mannered in terms of not having too much issues with that :)
