Every minute from the video is pure gold. Car history, racing, nostalgia and the sound of the R32 GTR explained by 2 masters who put it to its limits. 10/10
What an absolute treat. Not only do we see two legends out for a drive in, arguably one of the baddest R32 Skyline GT-R's on the streets, but the knowledge and stories are to be treasured!
this video brought all the feelings. As a Japanese car enthusiasts in her late 30's, I couldn't help but smile and have a sense of sadness all at once watching this reminiscing the good times and all the past friends I've come across in the car community.
i used to get vhs tapes of the races back in the early to mid 90s. seeing these guys in a gtr right now is just blowing my mind. also im realizing that i have to get over there and see them.
I can’t thank you enough for this amazing video 🙏 Truly a moment in time that has been magical. Special thanks to Hoshino-San and Tsuchiya-San, the automotive world blesses you both. Love from 🇨🇦
One of the best driver from the 90's Group-A & JGTC era - Hoshino-san, period! Then the torch was pass on to Tsuchiya-san. Thank you CarPrime for the 2 excellent videos featuring both! This brings back a lot of good memories of the real R32 Godzilla. どうもありがとう!
The Australian Group A cars that gapped the fastest Sierra were very different to the Japanese ones. Also if you want to really stretch Hoshino-Sans memory, ask him about driving the Bluebird at the Bathurst 1000.
Was born in 95, but have a great respect for the cars and car scene of that era. Makes me incredibly happy to see this, as we are in a time where standard manual transmissions are becoming a thing of the past and even going to electric vehicles. I am overjoyed to see two of the best become nostalgic and take every second of it in. Thank you for this video.
I think they're talking about the last time when Hoshino and Tsuchiya had a ride together, back when Tsuchiya was a student at Nissan's Driving School.
Amazing, was looking forward to this. So great to see these two together, surprised to see that Hoshino hasnt driven his Group A R32 after all these years, seeing him talking about all the memories rushing back to him, you could clearly see that he loved it ! Also, did I get this right, he owns a replica of his Group a race car ? In addition to this, touching to see them talk about Takahashi Kunimitsu, I liked that.
Seeing Mr Hoshino tap into the 650hp lift smile and get straight back on it, all while DK gushes truly made my day. Reunited with old Joy and wonderful to see!!! Thank You
Thank you for this! I Hope that this will be me and my best friend at some point in our lives reminiscing as these two do. Hope there is an interview with the builder of this engine/car. As an R32 owner - this is an ultimate goal for my car! Thanks again!
Amazing! Awesome!! What an absolute Gentleman, a very humble gentleman and Legend to boot. Loved every second of this and the English translation was spot on, thank you. Fond memories of the GTR dominance down here in Australia. 10/10 XXXX
its crazy in the beginning this freaking legend of a driver stalls, shifts quite rough and car is jerking.. but as time goes by, u see him shifting smoother, car is smoother, he is more confident, deep inside im just wishing the old Hoshino would have come out and decide to go BALLS out on the street!! Just watch how this man shifts gears.. sooooo smooth
Thank you for putting this video up on the English translation - those history-oriented videos are much appreciated, there was a lot of info we outside Japan never got (obviously some of it is still secret!). Just one additional point: There is a second Calsonic replica in the UK, built by Ric Wood Motorsport, also with a REINIK engine and other authentic parts. This car comes out for races, here it is in Goodwood 2020. th-cam.com/video/nMmFs9bLL8I/w-d-xo.html

Thanks a lot. If you like it, please share the channel to your friends :)
I like how as soon as he got in the driver's seat he came back to life, young all over again.

both these guys are having a great reunion. Nothing to say they are fun to watch and entertaining.

The stories that these 2 JDM driving legends can talk about is un-imaginable. Too bad I can't understand Japanese, but, the subtitles are on point.
1:51 the man had flashbacks I bet, plus the vibration of the car can be felt, cuz the camera moves around as well
This one is by far your best video. I keep pausing the video and hope there's still many more minutes on it, but sadly it must come to an end...
"At that time, Nissan had plenty of money, unlinke now.... BWHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA"
Okay, I just smiled there, but dang, this was a savage burn.

Loved the conversation between these two. Golden eggs all round
44 years ago was 1978. I don't think they had R32 Skylines in 1978.
Pretty sure the C210, 240K was the top dog in the Skyline kennel 44 years ago.

@@onelonejackal613 ah, that'd make sense. 🙌🏻
a heads up, i believe it is both Tsuchiya and Hoshino finally driving together again :) not referring to the vehicle itself
Now I get it
Gotta love good ol' nostalgia videos between 2 old car guys! =)

DK was like a happy child with his hero ☺️👏

I love how happy this car makes him.

Legendary Hoshino and Tsuchiya
Legends right there.
Thanks
The look when he started that car. Not gonna lie I teared up.
What a lovely discovery that Hoshino-san is such an approachable, humble guy. Thanks for this glimpse into the man.

Gorgeous GTR,it’s a shame this car hasn’t got the Dog Box like the Grp A Cars, but I suppose it’s because it’s a Road car Replica, take care Guys..
やっぱり 技術の日産 だね
やっぱり 32だね
そして 日本一早い男
永遠の 憧れ
Fun fact: The character Kozo Hoshino AKA The God foot from Initial D are inspired from Kazuyoshi Hoshino
So this is like Kozo and Bunta talking each other
I love watching this so much.👍
Konichiwa Keiichi!
True masters of these great cars ..manual with 3 peddles 👌👌 RIP master 🙏
this was great
thank u Tsuchiya san
カッコよすぎる…
Its great to see the old guy fully activate after experiencing the car lol
Good to see hoshino is in good spirit. Wonder how kunimitsu and kurosawa is doing
Kuni-san passed away on 16 March 2022.
Hello from France 🇨🇵
兩個可愛老頑童~😆😆😆
I love the old logo Nismo on wheels. 🤍
めちゃくちゃいい動画をありがとう!涙でました😭
後半ピー多すぎやけど🤣
Which Steering Wheel is that exactly? I find in Europe Nardis only with red stitch
First drive in 34 years not 44.
what is the title of the song ?
The car is only 28 years old how is it first time in 44 years
GTR❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇱🇰
Kazuyoshi Hoshino drives a skyline.... Sounds familiar????
The legendary god foot
Hoshino is the feet of god in initial D(gtr34)but who was the hand of god in real life?(s2000)
I didn't know the R32 was from '78
No its the driver not the car
@@gathel8574 Tsuchiya is from '56
i wish we knew what they bleeped out! haha
Awesome
But I am confused as the r32 is not from the 70's, but from the 80's. 34 years??
Never mind
Someone explained
2 thumbs up guys .....
Did they ever go to a track and let loose?
Bring it to Tsukuba. Drive it there.
how can it be 44 years, R32 GTR isn't even close to being that old
44 years ago.. keiichi tsuchiya sit next to Kazuyoshi Hoshino.. in nissan driving school. Driving Nissan cherry B110.
Old dudes with racecars are awesome. I wish i could of crammed myself into the back of that thing and cruised with them.
1990 fourty years ago. Tell the US to legalize the R34 already.
1990 was not 40 years ago my dude
@@kleenexbox974 my point exactly I read the title to this video
@@kleenexbox974 dumbass wants to correct me, but not use common sense and read the title for “40 years.”
What A engine were they talking about?
I'd guess the A12 from the B110 Sunny.
