This shows how to reprogram a Nissan Altima CVT/ transmission after replacing it with a used transmission. In my case the TCM was setting the code P17F1.

2017 Nissan Altima 2.5 Replaced transmission Vehicle revs fine, works great in reverse. Put into drive, moves for a second and doesn’t take any throttle. When brake is applied and throttle is given in drive, it picks up on RPM. P17F0 code for transmission CVT judder. Does the transmission need to be reprogrammed?

I recently changed my stepper motor &filter on the valve body because I got p1778 code. Now it won't go into gear. Its 2013 Nissan Maxima 3.5l with cvt transmission. I did use Castro CVT universal transmission fluid. But I can't see how the fluid can cause it to not shift into gear. 😐 need help

I'd definitely do the programming first to see if that fixes the problem.

Here I'm using the Launch X-431 mini. From my understanding some of the Autel and Topdon can do it as well.

Did you replace the Cvt yourself ?
Yes, I did.
Would the car drive?
I did not do a test drive while the code was set, but I was able to move it in and out of the shop with no problem.
