rom home security to outdoor adventures, it seems like the perfect tool to have in various situations. Its compact size is a huge plus too, making it incredibly portable and easy to take with you wherever you go.
I just bought a Topdon TC001. It's got nearly the same specs (resolution and sensitivity are the same) in a slightly larger form factor and with a fixed focus lens. I paid about $230 for it. It's pretty amazing tech and a bargain at the price.
Do you know how I can calibrate the p2 pro? With the macro lens I get quite different results. One or 2 cm higher can already give a difference of 5 or 15 degrees celsius or sometimes even more if the component gets very hot. This does not give reliable results. Or is it normal that the distance gives such a big difference on the measurements?
I used a few FLIRT Cameras before. I used a really expensive one about 2.5 times the price of this and it did not even have half of the features. I also used recently a "cheaper" one that has about a 175x175 pixel resolution with about 10 frames a sec... We used it for thermal bridge inspections at our home. That one costs about as much as this and it is tr*ash compared to this guy. If I'd have some available founds I'd surely buy this one. Much better than the expensive named brand cameras I used in the past....
Can you measure object with shiny reflective surface like 3d printer heatblock/nozzle with this camera? I'd like to know how accurate the result. Because laser infrared thermometer gun can't measure it.
These type of thermal cameras can't measure the temperature of metal like that, because the metal acts like a mirror. You could measure the temperature of a piece of metal by putting some tape on it though.
Does anybody noticed that last update app for Android has no live data (auto coldest and hottest spot measurements) option anymore. Previous app (from untill 1 month ago) has from my oppinion all what you would ever need for thermal immaging. Besides this camera is very good. Unfortunately; guys decided to upgrade (read- downgrade) app. I also wrote them and asked them to send me good old app, unfortunately, they don't care about customers. So I decided to sell camera and buy camera with this option.
@@MyTechFun That seems like a great deal on price/performance based on your video of performance, if we use that link is it affiliate link (hopefully)?
i am impressed by the distance this camera can read the temp
That is a cool tool.
Would be great for find home insulation problems.

This beats the FLIR in multiple aspects though. And the FLIR ONE PRO is the same price.
